Celtic winger Luis Palma joins Lech Poznan on season season-long loan
Celtic winger Luis Palma has joined Polish side Lech Poznan on a season-long loan. The 25-year-old Honduras international joined the Hoops two seasons ago ahead of the 2023/2024 campaign. He initially caught the eye with a string of impressive performances and scored ten goals as Brendan Rodgers side won the league and cup double. But he struggled to maintain his place in the starting team following a loss of form and was loaned out to Olympiakos in Greece last season. Celtic confirmed on Monday that he has left in another loan deal, this time to Poland. A statement posted on social media said: 'Luis Palma has joined Lech Poznań on loan. 'Good luck, Luis.' Winger Luis Palma has joined Polish champions Lech Poznan on a season-long loan from international Palma, 25, joined the Scottish champions on a five-year deal in 2023 but made just 12 appearances for Brendan Rodgers' side in the first of last season before spending the rest of it on loan at struggled for game time given the form of Nicolas Kuhn, who has since departed for Como, and was pushed further down the pecking order by the return of Jota - who took the number seven jersey when his move to Greece was won their ninth Ekstraklasa title last season and have the first leg of their Champions League second qualifying round tie against Breiðablik tomorrow (Tuesday, 22 July).
