Norwell finally breaks through vs. Cohasset with victory in Division 4 boys' lacrosse final

Enter Email Sign Up Junior Jake McGuirk scored twice in the opening quarter to help the Clippers set the tone and senior Joey McCarthy tacked on two more for Norwell, which dealt a blow to a 15-game win streak for Cohasset (21-3). Advertisement 'It's been a really tough, competitive matchup every time we've played them,' Panttila said. 'It really feels good to come back and beat them.' Sophomore Wyatt Franssen excelled at the faceoff-X for Norwell, winning his final seven attempts en route to helping the Clippers control 13 of 19 draws in all. Cohasset, with only three seniors on the roster, was denied a chance at its second title in the last three seasons and seventh overall. The Skippers have made 11 appearances in a championship game in all dating back to their inaugural appearance in 2001.
