FSU is still pursuing a four-star WR committed to an SEC school

FSU is still pursuing a four-star WR committed to an SEC school Even if you have committed elsewhere, Florida State has proven that they still believe they might be able to flip you, and they won't stop recruiting you. Over the weekend, four-star wide receiver prospect Madden Williams, who is committed to the Texas A&M Aggies, took an official visit to Tallahassee to see the Seminoles. Per Matt LaSerre, Williams told them that 'It was great being able to be out here. Being able to see all the coaches, see all the coaches and [being] able to interact; it was definitely a great visit for me." The 6'2" prospect is originally from St. John Bosco (CA), and even though he grew up in California, he has had a favorable view of the Seminoles since childhood. 'It was my dream school growing up,' Williams added. "I've been a Florida State fan since I was 4 or 5 years old." He also had high praise for new offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, telling that he liked how the former UCF Knights head coach planned to utilize him in the new-look Florida State offense. Williams plans to announce his final decision regarding commitment after his official visit to Texas A&M on June 20. He is ranked as the No. 235 overall player and No. 38 wide receiver in On3's industry ranking. He is also the No. 23 player from California. Texas A&M on the Brink of Two 4-Star Decommitments From the Class of 2026 Edge Rusher Samu Moala and Wide Receiver Madden Williams

Texas A&M on the Brink of Two 4-Star Decommitments From the Class of 2026 Edge Rusher Samu Moala and Wide Receiver Madden Williams originally appeared on Athlon Sports. So far, the Texas A&M Aggies have been pulling together a decent class of 2026 recruitment group. They are placed at No. 10 overall with their commits, according to 247Sports with nine 3-stars, and four 4-stars. Advertisement But nothing is permanent and head coach Mike Elko may be faced with this dilemma soon. Head coach Mike Elko reacts Lee/Imagn Images According to Texas A&M Aggies On SI, two 4-star commits are being targeted by other schools despite their declared ties to Texas A&M. Edge rusher Samu Moala and wide receiver Madden Willams could drop Elko's recruitment class of 13 to 11. Moala had official visits with Washington and UCLA even after committing to the Aggies back in Oct. 2024. Both the Huskies and Bruins are pushing for the defender to flip his initial decision. Per 247Sports Composite rankings he is the No. 24 edge in the country and No. 27 pick out of California. He is also listed as one of the seven Aggie commits part of the ESPN 300 rankings. Advertisement The 4-star wide receiver, another California native, is also being sought out by Washington. USC has also expressed interest in Williams. The class of 2026 recruit visited the Huskies on May 30 and the Trojans on June 13. Williams is another top-tier recruit as the No. 39 overall wide receiver and No. 23 recruit from California. USC may pose a difficult match, especially, for the Aggies due to location. Williams' and Moala's hometowns are roughly 30 minutes from USC, which could potentially be the reason to choose the Trojans over Elko's team. The weekend of June 20 will wrap up their visiting schedules, which will ultimately decide Texas A&M's fate with these two 4-star recruits. This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 14, 2025, where it first appeared.

2026 4-star WR and Texas A&M commit being heavily pursued by other programs

2026 4-star WR and Texas A&M commit being heavily pursued by other programs Texas A&M landed three wide receivers in the 2026 class, as four-stars Aaron Gregory, Mike Brown, and Madden Williams represent the future Aggie pass catchers, all highly skilled and perfect fits in OC Collin Klein's offense. However, with great talent comes outside attention, especially for Madden Williams, one of the rising prospects in California. This week, it was reported by Rivals recruiting insider Adam Gorney that while Williams continues to stay committed to the Aggies, while also recruiting fellow 2026 California prospects to College Station, like many of A&M's non-Texas-based prospects. On the field, Williams is one of the best route runners in the cycle, while possessing the size and quickness to become a No. 1 receiving option at the next level. Given his intriguing traits, nearly every major West Coast program, including USC has been all-in on flipping Williams, and no one can criticize him for weighing his options before making a final decision. So far, Williams will take official visits to Washington on May 30, Florida State on June 6, USC on June 13, and Texas A&M on June 20. As I've stated in the past regarding recruiting patterns, the team that receives the final official visit usually has an edge, and the fact that Williams is "strongly" committed to Texas A&M, head coach Mike Elko and his staff should be pretty good about where they stand with the talented pass catcher. According to Rivals, Madden Williams is currently positioned as the 92nd-ranked prospect in the 2026 cycle, the 14th-ranked wide receiver, and the 13th-ranked prospect in California.
