Madeline Gaudreau Says She ‘Can't Do Life Without' Sister-in-Law Meredith Ahead of Katie's Wedding
Meredith and Madeline Gaudreau stayed close at sister-in-law Katie Gaudreau's wedding. 'Can't do life without you,' Madeline wrote via her Instagram Stories on Friday, July 11, sharing a photo with Meredith ahead of the ceremony. Meredith and Madeline were married to brothers Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau until their tragic and sudden deaths in an August 2024 car accident. They were 31 and 29, respectively. The siblings' younger sister got married to her high school sweetheart, Devin Joyce, on Friday. The pair were due to get married the weekend of Johnny and Matthew's accident, but postponed their plans in the wake of their deaths. Meredith and Johnny's daughter, Noa, was a flower girl in the ceremony and wore a poofy white dress. The couple's young sons, Johnny Jr. and Carter, twinned in blue seersucker suits. Meredith carried them down the aisle before Katie's entrance. Katie and her now-husband made sure both Johnny and Matthew were honored when they finally said 'I do.' On the lookout for all videos anyone has of them busting it down on the dance floor, kitchen, country concerts, or them just being them.' As for Meredith and Madeline, they have both been candid about losing their husbands and moving forward as single parents. 'I feel numb, angry, sad, blessed all at once. Some days, the thought of this new reality is debilitating, but mostly I just miss Matt,' Madeline said during the September 2024 funeral. 'Matt will surround his son for the rest of his life. I'm so thankful God gave us a child, a little Matty, to run around for life, to carry on his legacy. Tripp will know how much his father loved him, and I promise to do all the things with him we talked about.' She teamed up with Meredith earlier this year to launch a nonprofit foundation in Johnny and Matthew's names to 'make a positive impact' on the hockey world.

On June 1, Matthew's wife, Madeline Gaudreau, will release a touching tribute to her late husband in the form of a cozy, fashion-forward clothing line designed in collaboration with BLK The Label. Madeline Gaudreau launches heartfelt 'comfy' clothing line in memory of late husband Matthew Gaudreau In a heartfelt Instagram post, Madeline Gaudreau unveiled the upcoming launch of 'Matty's collection,' a custom line of sweatsuits that reflect the style and spirit of the man she loved. 'Mattys collection will be live June 1st It was such an honor designing this with BLK The Label,' she wrote. 'If you know Matty you know he was always in his 'comfies.' I wanted to make sure that we had a sweat suit that spoke to his style which is simple and also comfortable. ' Madeline emphasized how much Matthew loved wearing comfortable clothes and bright colors—especially green. One standout item in the collection is a bucket hat, which she said was Matty's signature summer accessory. The collection also includes youth sizes, a thoughtful touch that honors Matthew's post-retirement dedication to coaching youth hockey. 'He would've loved seeing the kids he taught and his nieces and nephews wearing something created in his honor,' she shared. 'Know just how important this is to me and to him,' Madeline added, noting that a portion of the collection's proceeds will benefit The John and Matthew Gaudreau Foundation. The Gaudreau family's acts of remembrance continued earlier this month when Katie Gaudreau, Matthew's sister, ran the 2025 Broad Street Run in Philadelphia. Though she had minimal training, she ran each mile in tribute to someone meaningful in her life. She closed the final mile for her late brothers Johnny and Matty, writing: 'Broad Street 2025 🤍 Very little training but a whole lot of support... Although I wouldn't recommend 10 miles without training. ' Their enduring legacy lives on in every step, stitch, and story.
