Ant and Dec dealt huge triple blow at TRIC Awards 2025 as winners revealed in full
The TRIC Awards 2025 was held in London last night but it was not a successful night for the Geordie presenting duo. The TRIC Awards made a comeback on Tuesday evening with Britain's biggest TV stars arriving at Grosvenor House in London for the red carpet event. The star studded event was hosted by TRIC President Dan Walker and the audience were also treated to a performance by Magic Radio's Lemar. While it was an excellent night celebrating the success of some of the biggest names in showbiz, there were two people who were dealt a huge blow on the evening after they were snubbed for multiple awards which were decided on by the UK public. Presenting duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are used to winning awards thanks to their wit and hilarious friendship. However, this year the beloved hosts were snubbed from the Entertainment, Gameshow, and TV Personality categories. Ant and Dec had been nominated for I'm A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here! in the Entertainment category and Limitless Win in the game show category, the Mirror reports. They pair also lost out to Bradley Walsh in the TV Personality category. Gerard Butler is overcome with emotional as he reveals How To Train Your Dragon film is dedicated to his 'amazing' late mother Margaret
Gerard Butler was overcome with emotion on Thursday as he paid tribute to his late mother Margaret on Magic Radio. The Scottish actor and film producer, 55, stars as Stoick The Vast in the upcoming live-action How To Train Your Dragon movie, which releases Friday. And Gerard revealed director of the film Dean DeBlois has dedicated the movie to Margaret - who sadly passed away before she could see the finished version. Gerard's mother sadly passed away at the age of 81 earlier this year, months before the film premieres. He said: 'I was so excited for her to see it but I had a feeling she wasn't going to make it. So Dean very kindly dedicated the move to her. to stay in the loop. 'If Stoick had a Mum that would have been my Mum, she was an amazing woman. She was strong, she was fiery and she was graceful and she was beautiful. 'I wish the whole world could have met my Mum because she was a really special woman'. He added: 'She knew since I was a kid I wanted to be an actor. 'It's this movie, it really is but it's the opposite I was doing something that I never really loved, never cared about that didn't show any of my uniqueness in any way to be honest and I felt that I had something else going on and she embraced that.' Gerard frequently left his home in Hollywood to visit his mother in the village of Comrie in Perthshire - where she lived for more than 20 years. He previously told the Record he would always return to Scotland to catch up with her and joked she would always 'slap the Hollywood out of him'. 'I sit in the garden, I look up at the mountain ranges and I am just taken aback constantly by how beautiful it is there, and what a great land I come from', he said. 'I just really connect when I get back, and I find that I recharge and knock out all the bull that's going round in my head, all of that Hollywood nonsense. 'I quickly get that slapped out of me.' At the Brazilian premiere of How To Train Your Dragon last month, the movie paid tribute to his mother in the credits after the screening. It read: 'Dedicated to the loving memory of Margaret Coll.' Posting pictures from the premiere later on Instagram, Gerard included the tribute alongside the caption. He wrote: 'Getting weird. Funny face. The boys. And in memory of my dearly beloved mother Margaret Coll.' How to Train Your Dragon is expected to fly to the top of the box office after it's release on Friday. The action-adventure stars Mason Thames, 17, as Hiccup and Nico Parker as Astrid. Based on the performance of the three previous films, the reimagined version is expected to pull in somewhere between $80 million and $100 million domestically according to Box Office Pro. Universal Pictures has already announced a sequel to the anticipated blockbuster. 'They announced a release date and I was like, "Well, that's quite soon,"' Parker said.

Fellow show hosts told listeners they were unsure if the star would return to the mic today. And a grief expert says it's totally understandable that Gok would feel unfit to work due to the bereavement. Now Lisa Hague, who coaches people after loss, reckons compassionate leave after the death of a pet should be written into law. Lisa said: 'He's absolutely broken with grief - his pet was more than just an animal to him, it was part of his family.' At the moment, there are set laws in Scotland for the loss of a child. But other bereavement leave is at the discretion of an employer. And while some managers may be sympathetic over the death of a relative, there are many who may not be so supportive when it comes to a cat or dog. But Lisa, who's married to ex Celtic star Kris Commons, says for many Scots, their pets are the closest thing they have to family. She explained: 'The definition of grief is that your life is altered from the way that it normally is, it's a change to life as the way that you know it. 'When a child dies, a baby dies, grandad dies, people have sympathy towards that. But if a pet dies, and if you're not super pet friendly, then it becomes 'oh it's just a dog', it's not taken seriously. 'But everyone's relationship to their pet is unique and, for some people, it's so much more than an animal, it's emotional support. 'I don't know if Gok's got a partner at the minute, but if it was him and his dog on his own that's a major part of his life.' Lisa, who has helped people through grief since her daughter Lola was stillborn in 2008, said a pet can form a big part of someone's daily routine, which means their loss can leave them feeling totally bereft and alone. She said: 'Getting up, walking the dog, feeding the dog, coming in from work, having that love and support there, walking the dog again before bed - it all forms part of a person's routine. 'So all of a sudden you're left with idle hands and a broken heart.' Mum-of-three Lisa says the time you get off is a lottery, depending on how sympathetic your boss is. But, while she acknowledges the rules could be open to abuse, employee rights are always simpler if they're written into law. She said: 'I do get that we have to ask, where do we draw the line? When does it go from dog to cat to hamster to fish, in terms of having? But dogs and cats are different, they do offer emotional support. 'And then there's how to police it - would you have to disclose if you have pets as soon as you start a job. Or if you then buy a pet, do you say in case something happens? Or do we just take our employees as being the loyal members of staff that we hope we've employed and trust them? 'I know a lady who's got a dog, who hasn't been able to have children and that dog is her world. If it died then that would be devastating for her. 'So in the end, I do think people should be allowed a day off, it should be written into practice and then owners can choose if they need that time.' LAW CHANGE IN most countries, bereavement leave for an animal is allowed at the discretion of an employer. But in Colombia a bill was proposed by the country's Liberal Party to grant workers two days of paid leave to mourn the loss of a pet. The legislation was brought in by politician Alejandro Carlos Chacon who said the rules would reflect how deep a bond someone can have with a pet, especially for those who don't have kids. He also said the law would benefit employers as workers would be able to adequately deal with their grief without being distracted by work and be able to come back refreshed. And if you are struggling after the loss of a pet, Lisa offered some advice for dealing with grief. She says: 'Put in place some healthy distractions. And work on being able to talk to people who get it because there's nothing worse than somebody saying 'it's just a dog' or 'at least it wasn't a family member'. 'I had it a lot of 'at leasts' after Lola died, and she was a baby. So make sure you have a support network of people who understand.'

The "Gone Girl" star, 46, shared in an interview on "Magic Radio" that she was once attacked and had her phone stolen while she was walking down the street on a call with her mom. "I was on the phone to my mother on a mobile phone walking on the road, and I was mugged," Pike recounted. "The phone was snatched, so all she heard was me scream or yelp, and a thud, and the phone went dead." The actress said she was on the way to meet up with friends at the time. After the mugging, Pike recalled that she walked to a pub, met her friends and called her mom back. But she noted that this must have been an excruciating period of time for her mother while she was waiting to hear from her. "For her, it was probably a pretty horrible 15 minutes," Pike said. 'She's so shocking': Rosamund Pike finds her new role of a lifetime with Netflix's 'I Care a Lot' A representative for Pike confirmed to USA TODAY that the incident occurred in 2006. Pike shared the story on "Magic Radio" after she was asked if she ever caused her parents anxiety growing up. On a lighter note, the "Americans" actor said he "did a good job of never letting" his parents "know the kind of peril I was in" growing up. Pike is known for her roles in films like the 2014 thriller "Gone Girl," for which she earned a best actress Oscar nomination, and the James Bond movie "Die Another Day."
