Tamkeen launches new programme to support digital transformation
The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) announced the launch of a new programme to support digital transformation for Bahraini SMEs in partnership with Zoho, a leading global technology company. The programme will provide enterprises with access to Zoho's solutions for a period of two years. This includes a license to utilize Zoho's operating system for business, Zoho One, which offers over 50 integrated apps for business management, which will significantly enhance digital transformation efforts for these enterprises. The platform also offers a wide range of features including customer service management tools, sales automation, HR and finance management, marketing management, data analysis tools and more. On this occasion, Her Excellency Ms. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) stated: 'this agreement with Zoho is aligned with our commitment to empowering Bahraini SMEs to embrace technology and transform digitally to enhance their productivity and sustainability. We do that by partnering with large international and local entities that can enable digital transformation. This program is part of many initiatives that aim to facilitate local expansion for global organizations such as Zoho in the Kingdom of Bahrain in support from the Bahrain Economic Development Board as part of its role to attract investments to Bahrain to enhance economic diversification efforts in the Kingdom. On this occasion, Her Excellency Ms. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) emphasized the importance of supporting Bahraini SMEs due to the vital role they fulfil in the national economy. The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) partners with Reboot Coding Institute, backed by French educational platform 01Edu, to train 750 Bahrainis to continues its efforts in training Bahrainis in full-stack development. This partnership builds on the success of Tamkeen's collaboration with Reboot over the past two years which saw 350 Bahrainis join the institute's coding programs. Notably, sixty of Reboot's students secured quality job opportunities in the private sector, some of them succeeding to pursue a new career path in the tech sector from different backgrounds such as financial services, engineering, and others. Reboot Coding Institute offers specialized training programs spanning a two-year period with the purpose of empowering individuals who don't have tech skills to graduate as full-stack developers ready to enter the technology sector. This is done through an innovative training approach that utilizes 'learning by doing' and a project-based methodology. The training also focuses on employment readiness and matching the skills with the labor market requirements. Tamkeen collaborates with J.P. Morgan for a Technology Centre of Excellence in Bahrain
The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has announced a strategic collaboration with J.P. Morgan to support local talents through the launch of a new Technology Center of Excellence in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is set to create 200 high-quality job opportunities for Bahraini professionals in the Information and Communication Technology sector. Tamkeen will support the employment and training of local talent. This took place during a meeting attended by Mr. Hamad Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Ms. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Mr. Daniel Pinto, JPMorganChase President, and Mr. Abdulla Aljanahi, J.P. Morgan Bahrain General Manager. Following the meeting and in their presence, the agreement was signed by H.E. Ms. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez and Mr. Abdulla Aljanahi. The J.P. Morgan Global Technology Center in Bahrain will be one of the most advanced in the region, aiming to create 200 high-quality job opportunities across various fields including software engineering, IT management, project management and data analysis. All employees will undergo specialized training, with select individuals participating in international practical training programs in the United States and India as part of the Global Ready Talent Program to ensure alignment with global standards.
