Police searching for missing 14-year-old boy last seen leaving Chaska home 2+ weeks ago

Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating a boy who ran away from his southwestern Twin Cities metro home earlier this month. The Chaska Police Department says 14-year-old Damian Campbell has not been seen or heard from since he left his home around 1:20 p.m. on June 8. Campbell was last seen wearing a "Snoopy" T-shirt and camouflage pants. He is said to be 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs between 105 and 110 pounds. Both of his ears are pierced. Damian Campbell Chaska Police Department Police say Campbell may say his name is "Joshua Baker" and that he is from South Carolina. Campbell is known to frequent the Minneapolis area and use Metro Transit or Southwest Transit to get around, police say. Authorities believe Campbell may have visited the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and the Mall of America since he left home. Anyone who has information about Campbell is asked to call 911. Information can also be provided anonymously by calling 952-227-2479.

Aventura Mall just got crowned the best in the US—here's why it's a big deal

Step aside, Mall of America. South Florida's retail gem Aventura Mall has officially snagged the top spot as the Best Mall in America, according to USA Today 's 2025 10Best Readers' Choice Awards. It's a big win—not just for the mall, but for anyone who likes their shopping with a side of art installations, luxury brands and gourmet bites. The annual 10Best list is based on public voting after a panel of travel and lifestyle pros curates the contenders. Aventura Mall stood out from 20 national nominees and reigned supreme as the only Florida entry on the list. And frankly, it's not hard to see why. Strategically perched between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Aventura is a full-on cultural and culinary destination with more than 300 retailers, over 50 dining options, a museum-worthy art collection and first-to-market debuts that keep the crowds curious. Recent headline-grabbers? Florida's first Eataly, Kim Kardashian's SKIMS and electric truck disruptor Rivian. And it's not just the big names making waves. Aventura Mall's mix of luxury labels (think Gucci, Hermès and Saint Laurent), indie finds and community programming (like weekly yoga and a robust farmers market) makes it both aspirational and accessible. Add in installations like Carsten Höller's giant chrome slide tower and you've got retail therapy with a side of spectacle. 'This award is a testament to Aventura Mall's commitment to delivering exceptional experiences,' said Jackie Soffer, chairman and CEO of Turnberry, the mall's owner. The cherry on top? The recently added Brightline station at Aventura means you can hop a high-speed train from Orlando or Miami and glide straight into your shopping spree, no Uber surge pricing required.

Find The Cash Twin Cities is hiding money around the metro — but why?

A new social media account that's stashing cash around the metro for anyone to find is taking the Twin Cities by storm — but no one seems to know who's behind it. The big picture: For the past three weeks, an Instagram account called Find The Cash Twin Cities has been posting videos of someone off-camera hiding anywhere from $50 to $250 in cash in random places, like in a flower bed outside Mall of America or taped to a sign pole at Minneapolis Institute of Art. The account does "cash drops" four times a week and has rapidly grown to over 77,000 followers, with many of the drops now being found by followers within a few minutes of the videos appearing online. The intrigue: Though there are several similarly-branded accounts in cities like Dallas, Atlanta and Nashville, there's no indication who may be behind the apparent displays of generosity in the Twin Cities or nationwide. The only identification the Twin Cities account holder has shown is their hand, and the email in all the accounts' bios directs users to Win It Entertainment — a company that has little to no internet presence. The account, the email in its bio and a LinkedIn user claiming to be the CEO of a "Win It Entertainment" all did not respond to multiple requests for comment from Axios.

Twiggy the Waterskiing Squirrel returns to Mall of America this weekend

Twiggy the Waterskiing Squirrel returns to Mall of America this weekend originally appeared on Bring Me The News. A touch of absurdity will alight at the Mall of America over the weekend, as the Bloomington shopping center gets a return visit from Twiggy the Waterskiing Squirrel. The mainstay of local news broadcasts is coming by for the third year to, well, waterski. The squirrel will put on three shows on both Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8, with a meet and greet to follow each performance. While a meet and greet with a squirrel sounds like the set-up for a disaster in a Will Ferrell comedy, how many chances will you have to take a selfie with a multi-hyphenate squirrel? The squirrel's act began in 1978 when Chuck and Lou Ann Best rescued a squirrel that had been blown from its nest during a hurricane. They taught it to ski and launched an act that has lasted a surprisingly long time. The act is now run by their son, Chuck Best Jr. The free performances will take place in the Huntington Bank Rotunda at noon, 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. both story was originally reported by Bring Me The News on Jun 7, 2025, where it first appeared.
