Between June and the end of August, the airport anticipates approximately 250,000 departing passengers, as holidaymakers and business travellers take advantage of a wide range of domestic and international destinations. This summer, passengers can enjoy non-stop international flights to popular sun and city break destinations including Alicante, Amsterdam, Bergen, Corfu, Dalaman, Dublin, Faro, Gdansk, Krakow, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Reus, and Stavanger. Several airlines add extra flights to Glasgow Airport due to 'demand'
Several airlines have added extra flights to Glasgow Airport ahead of Celtic's Champions League clash. The Hoops are set to take on German side FC Bayern Munich at Celtic Park in Glasgow's East End on Wednesday, February 12. Ahead of the match, Glasgow Airport revealed they are preparing to welcome an 'influx of over 3,000' Bayern fans this week as they descend upon the city. Meanwhile, the city's airport also said multiple airlines including Lufthansa and TUI responded to the huge surge in demand from supporters of the current leaders of the German Bundesliga by adding extra capacity and flights to Glasgow from the Bavarian capital.
