Here's a range of views from supporters, who shared their thoughts with the News & Star on social media...
I think it's epic and hopefully one we remember for all the right reasons (@MarkWard18)
I quite like it! Certainly better than the home kit for the last couple of one has a bit of soul (@Keano1981)
Top class (@carlisletom)
I really like it, but it won't be for everyone (@Tomw0892)
I like it but I know it's gonna be like Marmite! (@guy_moffat)
Love it! (@KyleDixon30)
I like it! Mine is purchased (@Dean19921928)

I like it, it's distinctive and I prefer the deckchair stripes to some of the more abstract designs we've had. It should also shift plenty of associated merchandise (@mlgraham73)

It's a thing of beauty. I love the creativity. Our kits are so much better than the boring generic ones (@northumbrian_)
If it's worn by a winning team I don't mind. Mine is in the post (@adydent67)
I thought we would move away from the toothpaste (@BruceVander)
Too much red for me. I'm hoping it will look better in real life. The quality looks good and I quite like the fox watermark in the red material (@JHallHDI)
Good strip to get promoted in (@RobertPorthous1)

I like it but would have preferred that as the away kit and a simple classic blue as the home kit - more Aqua Fresh than Aqua Pura! I am old though. (@BackoSkiddaw)

Horrendous. That's not a Carlisle shirt for me. Way too much red and white, the back looks half finished and the design is a shocker. Have we ever had a striped home shirt before? (@ReiverPhil)
Leaked away kit is much better, not the biggest fan of the home kit (@andrewhoddie)

Yeah, it's ok, certainly distinctive but will get toothpaste comments no doubt. Regarding the away kit, they don't seem to want to move away from last year's effort very much (@Rich_W27)
It's not to everyone's taste but it won't matter if we're winning matches and topping the league. I really like it (@karl72465)

Awful (@granttheone)
If whomever had kept it simple? Blue and white deckchair would have been epic, they just had to put the red in and made it a mess (again) (@bruntonblue10)
Too much red not enough blue. One of the worst strips for years imho (@frostie_)
If the stripes went down the back and if the shorts were white that could've been unbelievable I think (Hayden McGarel)
I like it (Lee Rotherham)
It will sell but not for me. Can't wait until we get a blue strip again. (Peter Scholes(
I think it's mint (Matthew Roberts)
Like it. Purchased (David Rigg)
Too many stripes, bad for the eyes (Margaret Wright)

It's like the old deck chair away kit only different colour. Horrible! (Christine Young)
Absolute shocker (Brian Johnstone)
I think it's a grower. I like it better now than when it was leaked a couple of days ago. (Matt Dickinsone)
It's distinctive unlike any other club's top. Let's make it a memorable season in it. (Paul Hal Irving)
Not for me doesn't really matter what they wear as long as they get promoted (Mally Poskett)
It's very marmite. I dislike it now but by the end of the season it'll have grown on me. (@Libraise)
As classy as a hot dog (Callum McLennan)
The kits are on sale in the Blues Store and online (Image: News & Star)

Where did the red come from? I don't like it (David Drinkald)
Like it (Graeme Stead)
Not a fan prefer traditional blue shirt but as long as we win I don't care (Phil Rickerby)
Wouldn't be happy as the sponsor as their name almost disappears in it but I rather like it (Andrew Lapping)
Way too much red! (Gary Parkin)
Wouldn't matter what the shirt was like there's always the moaners lol (Steven Shaw)
Doesn't really matter, we all love our club so will still buy it anyway (Adrian McGonigle)
