Why Did Matty Healy Miss Charli XCX and George Daniel's Wedding?
ICYMI: Charli XCX is officially a married woman! The Brat superstar and overall pop icon married her partner George Daniel in an intimate ceremony at Hackney Town Hall, London on 19th July 2025. The inhabitants of East London were gagged to see music royalty on full display as Charli cozied up to George, the drummer in the band The 1975 and a producer and songwriter. She wore what appeared to be a white Cora mini dress by Vivienne Westwood, white Jimmy Choo slingback heels, wraparound black shades, and white veil as the duo posed for pics on the town hall's steps. It was a cute, cozy ceremony with twenty of the couple's close friends and family in appearance. However, some fans of The 1975 were shocked to see that George's bandmate and close friend Matty Healy was not in attendance. After doing some sleuthing, it appears that Matty was in LA to attend a screening of I Know What You Did Last Summer, in which his fiancée Gabbriette stars. It seems like Matty was supporting his partner during an unfortunate scheduling clash with the wedding; however, this is just speculation and has yet to be confirmed by any of the parties involved. What we can say is that there appears to be no ill-feeling as Matty was reportedly in attendance at George's bachelor party, which took place in Ibiza, according to The Sun. It is also rumored that Charli and George are planning another, larger wedding celebration in Sicily later in the year—and it seems likely that Matty will be in attendance there. One thing we can, for sure, confirm? Well, according to Charli's very own TikTok, George shed a tear when he saw her walk down the aisle! Suddenly, we believe in love.

Real reason Matty Healy skipped Charli xcx and The 1975 bandmate George Daniel's wedding
While George's bandmates, Ross and Adam, were in attendance, lead singer Matty Healy didn't attend the ceremony. The newly married couple even walked to Hackney Town Hall Charli XCX and The 1975 drummer George Daniel have married, but one bandmate was nowhere to be seen on their big day. The pair looked over the moon as they posed outside Hackney Town Hall on Saturday. Brat queen Charli looked sensational in a white mini-dress, with a heart-shaped neckline, as she held onto her bouquet of flowers while posing for pictures. Their wedding comes just days after George returned to the UK, having been in Ibiza with his bandmates, including Matty Healy, for his stag do. Amidst reports that the couple would be splashing the cash and inviting dozens of famous faces, the Mirror can reveal that Charli and George tied the knot in front of just 20 of their closest friends and family. Shunning the huge showbiz aspect of their lives, the newly married couple even walked to Hackney Town Hall. While George's bandmates, Ross MacDonald and Adam Hann, were in attendance, lead singer Matty Healy didn't attend the ceremony. Which may have come as a shock to fans as they have spent over two decades writing, recording, and touring together, cementing a friendship. It turns out Matty was in LA for the screening of I Know What You Did Last Summer, in which his fiancée Gabbriette Bechtel stars in. On Friday evening, the singer was spotted arriving at the venue dressed in a leather jacket over a white top with a red lightning bolt, paired with blue jeans. Matty, who has been linked to Gabbriette since September 2023, appeared in good spirits as he left his vehicle and headed into the event. Despite his absence at the wedding Matty reportedly attended his pal's stag do earlier this week which took place in Ibiza, reports MailOnline. Fans have been left gushing over the newlyweds, with one writing: "She looks so good." A second penned: "OMG, shut up she looks beautiful." "Congratulations, Charli and George," said a third. Meanwhile, a fourth exclaimed: "Pop royalty just got their crown. Congrats to Charli and George!" Other fans speculated on why Matty wasn't at the couple's big day in London. "i hateeeee speculating but I wonder what George thought when Matty said he couldn't make it to his wedding lmao if it was my best mate I'd have probably never spoken to him anymore but that's just me," one penned on Twitter (X). Another argued: "Apparently that was just the 'official' wedding and they're having more of a party wedding soon because there were LOADSSSS of people who weren't there." A third mused: "Matty probably wanted to be good to both George and Gabi, that's why he chose Ibiza over the 'I know what you did last summer' premiere and Gabi's movie party over the wedding. All I can personally see here is a kind man, definitely not a pos." One sarcastically added: "oh yes matty totally hates charli and george it's almost like he never called her "my best friend" on the glasto stage not even a month ago and then cried in george's arms when the show ended, of course the evil monster gabbriette made them fight and plots on the band's demise."

Kidz Bop ready to inspire a nation as they promise 'party to remember' ahead of UK tour
KIDZ BOP are readying themselves for another UK adventure and the stars of the show have revealed the pride they feel in inspiring a new generation through song and dance When it comes to inspiring a young generation, not many groups have the same skillset as KIDZ BOP. Being a star is the dream for so many youngsters and for the current crop of KIDZ BOP members, that has became their reality - and they are very keen to pay that back. Famous faces such as Euphoria's Zendaya and Noah Munck from hit sitcom The Goldbergs have come through the ranks with the energetic band in previous years. And now there is a new generation on stage and they are ready to amaze the UK audiences once again in October. With over 23 million albums sold worldwide and over 14 billion streams of their kidified versions of the most popular tunes, it's safe to say their audience loves them - and it appears the feeling is mutual. Current bangers include Chappell Roan's Pink Pony Club and Ed Sheeran 's Azizam, but the group insist there are so many to watch out for. A number of the class of '25 spoke exclusively to The Mirror ahead of their upcoming UK tour, opening up on what fans can expect, what most surprised them about joining the band, and just how it feels to be such an inspiration. With most of the stars of the show sticking with the group for up to three years between the ages of 12-16, current singer Matty, 15, confessed it "does not seem real still" to be part of the number one kids brand. He admitted he loves the fact he and his band members are able to inspire others to reach their dreams while fulfilling his own desires. Sadie Mae, 14, agreed, saying: "It's a literal dream come true. I have always loved watching KIDZ BOP growing up and I can't believe I am now part of this amazing group. There's nothing better than traveling to so many places, being on incredible sets, working with the nicest team and getting to do what I love - which is singing and dancing." And she admitted she was "very surprised" with how quickly the group pulls a performance together. With Matty saying the amount of production involved took him back at first, Sadie Mae said: "It's so impressive to me how we can all come together and get so much done, between wardrobe, rehearsals, different set changes and more! It's just really exciting to be a part of!" Following on from their recent sell-out gigs in the UK, the group is heading back to Blighty for a bigger tour. And Annika, 12, has promised "a night to remember full of fun," while Matty hinted it will be like a party the audience has "never been to before", adding he expects the fans to bring that huge energy once again. Teasing their favourite moment from being on tour, Jack, 12, said concert goers have to watch out for the "Daddy Dance off," while Sadie Mae labelled it all "one big giant party". With the group inspiring children across the globe, they are keen to focus on inclusion and representation, too. Among those sharing pride in what the group stands for is Sadie Mae. "I was born very prematurely and have an invisible disability called Hypotonia," she candidly told us. "Hypotonia is a lifelong condition which affects the muscle tone and strength in my body. I have heard many times in my life that the things I am doing now like dancing, singing and acting, wouldn't be the things I would be successful at. "I tried my very best to never listen to those words and decided to always believe in myself, my dreams and my goals. Sure, some things may be harder for me, but I will always find a way to live the life I want to live and do the things I love to do! It means so much to me to be singing and dancing with KIDZ BOP." She added: "I hope it inspires other kids to never give up on themselves or their dreams and to never let others tell you what you can or cannot achieve. I love that KIDZ BOP focuses on inclusion and representation and I'm so very proud to be a part of this group!" And in a similar way, Savvy, 14, also revealed how "incredible" it feels to connect with the younger generation through ASL. "I sign and dance to KIDZ BOP songs," she said. " We also have a separate series called 'Sign + Dance Alongs' where I sign and dance with another KIDZ BOP Kid and you guys can follow along! It's all about spreading joy and showing that everyone can love music." All members admitted they love seeing fans while on the road and are looking forward to entertaining the UK crowds once again. The tour will feature classic tunes as well as several of their newest numbers from the newly released KIDZ BOP 51. The latest album was released on July 18 and featuring the biggest hits like APT, Pink Pony Club and more, performed by kids for kids. Fans can also go to the KIDZ BOP website for tickets for their tour.

‘Dizzying coastal paths, quiet beaches and dolphins': readers' highlights of the UK coastline
Between Aberystwyth and Cardigan the quiet coastline is sublime, with incredible sunsets, dizzying and spectacular coastal paths, gorgeous quiet beaches and dolphins. Start in Dylan Thomas's old stomping ground, New Quay, and follow the coastal path south along cliffs and past Cwmtydu beach before finishing at gorgeous Llangrannog, where you get two beaches for one (perfect Cliborth beach requires a lower tide to access). Kayaking and surfing are great, and the Pentre Arms provides refreshments with a Lunt The Leas near South Shields (a few miles north of Sunderland) is a beautiful stretch of limestone cliffs and coastal grassland that is a haven for sea birds and wildflowers. There are footpaths and bridle paths across the Leas, so it attracts cyclists, dog walkers and runners all year round. The local parkrun uses the paths and it must be one of the most scenic in the country. The rock stacks along the coast are a great place for spotting cormorants, fulmars and kittiwakes among others.
