EastEnders' Max Bowden seen kissing new girlfriend ahead of surprise soap return
EastEnders star Max Bowden was seen kissing a co-star as they seemed to confirm their relationship prior to his return to the BBC soap as Ben Mitchell Max Bowden was spotted planting a kiss on his new girlfriend ahead of his shock return to the EastEnders lineup later this year. The actor who plays Ben Mitchell on the long-running BBC soap was spotted locking lips with co-star Tori Allen-Martin. The duo had shared the stage together in the musical Midnight Cowboy and appear to be getting closer. The 30-year-old kissed his fellow star on her birthday. The image shared to Instagram showed Tori wrapping her arms around the actor as he leaned in for a peck. The sweet image seemingly confirmed the pair's relationship status after sources claimed they had "hit it off pretty much straight away". The insider told The Sun: "They have the same sense humour and Max was always making her laugh, they just got each other. Neither was looking for romance, it just kind of happened." They added that the duo are "having a lot of fun together". Tori, 39, is best known for her appearance on BBC's Here We Go sitcom. She also plays a role on London Kills, where she takes on the part of trainee detective Billie Fitzgerald. Max, meanwhile, is known for being the most recent actor to portray the role of Ben Mitchell in EastEnders. He left Walford in 2023, with his partying lifestyle said to have been a key factor. However, he is now readying himself for a return to Albert Square with new boss of the soap Ben Wadey up for giving him another chance. Last month it was claimed he would be the latest in a line of faces from the past returning. Recently, Zoe Slater, played by Michelle Ryan, made a brief comeback. However, after shocking fans with her return, the short-lived stint quickly saw her disappear again. It's not yet known how long Max will remain on the soap this time around, with it said to be a short spell to start with. There is reportedly scope for a permanent return, though. The star was axed the BBC soap in December 2023 after playing Ben Mitchell for five years. His final scenes played out in April the following year as his character left the show after being arrested for an international crime, and is now in prison in America. Ben is still mentioned from time to time. Every now and then Phil, who recently went through a mental health crisis, picks up the phone to speak to his son. A source recently claimed to the Sun of the reported return: 'Ben had a list of characters he wanted to bring back and Ben Mitchell was one. It's taken a little while to sort out but Max will be back filming on Albert Square later this year. 'Ben wanted to meet Max and see where his head was at," the source continued before revealing that the new boss had been to see the actor in the musical Midnight Cowboy.

3 underrated Amazon Prime Video movies you should watch this weekend (June 20-22)
In addition to being a central hub for many people's shopping, Amazon also has a pretty impressive library of streaming titles. If you're looking for something to watch, you might be overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices available. If you're looking for a way to hone in on what you'd actually like to watch, we've got you covered. We've pulled together three great, underrated movies that are all available on Prime Video and are all well worth your time: Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on Max, and the best movies on Disney+. I Like Movies (2022) If you think you're the cinephile in your friend group, then I Like Movies was made for you. The film tells the story of a socially awkward teenager who takes a job at a video store in the mid-2000s and develops a complicated relationship with his older female supervisor. Funny and heartfelt in a way that only indies can seem to get away with, I Like Movies is both an earnest ode to loving movies and a reminder of how intense our feelings can be when we're 17. I Like Movies is shaggy, funny, and features a cast of actors you probably won't recognize. You can watch I Like Movies on Amazon Prime Video. Midnight Cowboy (1969) More than 50 years later, Midnight Cowboy still feels as transgressive as it did when it was first released in 1969. The movie follows a young man from a small town who moves to New York City, convinced that he'll attach himself to a wealthy woman who can keep him in comfort. Instead, he finds himself in poverty and lives in a rundown, abandoned apartment with hustler Enrico 'Ratso' Rizzo. As the two begin working together to earn cash, they form a friendship that becomes their only lifeline as they struggle to make ends meet in a city less hospitable than either of them anticipated. You can watch Midnight Cowboy on Amazon Prime Video. Ford v Ferrari (2019) There aren't a ton of great racing movies, but Ford v Ferrari is one of the very best. The film tells the true story of the men that Ford brought in in an attempt to compete with Ferrari at the 24-hour race at Le Mans. In chronicling the many challenges that come with trying to build something in collaboration with corporate overlords, the film also has interesting resonances with what it's like to work in Hollywood. Anchored by great movie star work from Christian Bale and Matt Damon, Ford v. Ferrari is sturdy and functional in ways that few modern movies of any size manage to be. You can watch Ford v. Ferrari on Amazon Prime Video.
