The Sun revealed earlier this year how Max, 30, had grown close to actress Tori Allen-Martin, 39, after appearing together on stage in the musical Midnight Cowboy.
And now they have confirmed their relationship by kissing in a sweet post on Instagram during Tori's birthday celebrations.
A source said: 'Max and Tori hit it off pretty much straight away.
"They have the same sense humour and Max was always making her laugh, they just got each other.
"Neither was looking for romance, it just kind of happened.
"They're having a lot of fun together.'
Glamorous Tori is known for BBC sitcom, Here We go, where she starred alongside Gavin and Stacey's Alison Steadman and Rivals actress Katherine Parkinson, as well as cop drama London Kills, as trainee detective Billie Fitzgerald.
But he has been given another chance by the BBC soap's new boss Ben Wadey.
A source said: 'Ben had a list of characters he wanted to bring back and Ben Mitchell was one. It's taken a little while to sort out but Max will be back filming on Albert Square later this year.'
'I wasn't me' reveals EastEnders star Max Bowden as he speaks out over controversial Ben Mitchell exit
Max famously dated his co-star Shona, 33, before moving on with Danielle, 32, who he secretly dated for more than a year before they split.
It was recently revealed that the couple were no longer on speaking terms and had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Real-life soap couples
Soaps are renowned for their sweet and scandalous romances – but it's not just in scripted storylines where love is blossoming. A number of our favourite small-screen actors have fallen for co-stars and soapland rivals when the cameras have stopped rolling.
Max Parker and Kris Mochrie
Despite playing brothers Luke and Lee Posner on Emmerdale, the pair never actually shared any scenes together. But the pair still fell in love after meeting on set. Max and Kris got together in 2020, moving in together later than same year and got engaged in 2022. In a sweet Instagram post, the couple confirmed they're planning a 2025 wedding.
Beth Cordingly and Ian Kelsey
Beth, who plays Ruby Fox-Miligan, announced her love for her co-star Ian Kelsey, who played Dean Glover, shortly after she joined Emmerdale at the beginning of 2024. 'I am very in love with Ian and very happy. I think it really does work him being an actor too. He has been so fantastic," she gushed.
Laura Norton and Mark Jordan
Kerry Wyatt and Daz Eden actors Laura and Mark met on the set of Emmerdale in 2014. The couple, who got engaged in 2018, told Loose Women they spent a long time deciding whether they should "just stay as friends." Although it seems they were meant to be and the pair now share two children together.
Zoe Henry and Jeff Hordley
Emmerdale favourites Zoe and Jeff, who play Rhonda Goskirk and Cain Dingle met at drama college in 1994 and have been together ever since. While working together might be too much for some couples, that's definitely not the case for Zoe and Jeff. Zoe previously told The Sun: "Working on the same show as Jeff also helps because if one of us is having a bad day then the other will completely understand."
Lesley Dunlop and Chris Chittell
Lesley and Chris are another Dales romantic success story. Unlike some of the other soap stars, the pair who play Brenda Walker and Eric Pollard, are together on and off screen, officially tying the knot in 2016. They also adore working together, but have clear home-work boundaries. "We make a point of not talking about Emmerdale when we're at home, though – that would be just too sad, wouldn't it?" Chris revealed.
Sally Carman and Joe Duttine
Abi Franklin and Tim Metcalfe actors Sally and Joe got together after meeting on the set of Coronation Street in 2017 and they tied the knot in July 2022. But unlike some of the Emmerdale stars, Sally and Joe prefer that their characters don't interact much. Sally previously admitted it "would be horrendous" to work on a storyline with Joe because "he's too funny."
Anthony Cotton and Peter Eccleston
Sean Tully may have been unlucky in love on the cobbles, but in real life Antony's met his Prince Charming. The soap star started dating long-term partner Peter in 2005, after they met when he was working as an assistant props buyer on Corrie.
Jane Danson and Robert Beck
Corrie favourite Jane Danson tied the knot with soap star Robert Beck in 2005. The actress, who plays Leanne Battersby, shares two children, Harry and Sam, with the former Brookside star. During their marriage, Robert has also done a stint in Weatherfield playing criminal Jimmy Dockerson.
Caroline Harding and Chris Gascoyne
Chris, who played pub landlord Peter Barlow, married soap star Caroline in 2002. Although she is best known as an Emmerdale star, Caroline did visit her husband at work when she did a two-episode stint as doctor on the Manchester soap in 2020. The couple share a daughter called Belle, plus two children, Pip and Freddie from Caroline's previous marriage.
Nadine Mulkerrin and Rory Douglas Speed
Nadine Mulkerrin, and Rory Doulas Speed are known for their Hollyoaks alter egos Cleo McQueen and Joel Dexter. The loved-up pair got engaged on a December 2018 trip to Amsterdam - just over a year after they announced they were dating. They now share two kids, Reggie and Dougie.
Sophie Austin and Shayne Ward
Former Hollyoaks star Sophie, whose best known for playing villain Lindsay Butterfield, was introduced to singer and ex-Corrie star Shayne through mutual friends. She gave birth to their daughter Willow in December 2016 and they welcomed a son in 2022.
A TV insider said: 'Max just can't help himself when it comes to his co-stars.
"He has this energetic charm that the ladies seem to love.'

Pop star sparks feud with Loose Women favourite as she takes swipes during foul-mouthed Glasto set

POP singer Kate Nash has taken a swipe at Denise Welch while performing at Glastonbury. The star, 37, headlined the Left Field tent at the festival and launched into a foul-mouthed tirade at various people including JK Rowling, Rod Stewart - and surprisingly the Loose Women favourite. 4 4 4 Kate ranted: 'The music industry doesn't know what to do with me. They tried to get rid of me, but they didn't. There is a record executive sweating their t*** off with Matt Healy 's mum. 'They're scared of me. I like that. But I was made of mother f****** bricks. But they didn't believe me. I even gave them a second warning a few years later when I told them 'Do not underestimate the girl'. Is it my fault they didn't believe me? 'I'm not going to give my third warning. It's too late for that. I'm taking my bricks and I'm throwing them through the f****** window.' Denise was at Glastonbury this weekend to support her son Matt Healy who was headlining with his band The 1975. Matt meanwhile preached love to fans during the band's set on the Pyramid Stage. Pausing between songs to address the crowd on Friday night, he said: "The lack of politics in this show, it is a conscious decision. "We don't want our legacy to be one of politics - we want it to be that of love and friendship. "You go out into the world and there is loads of politics. We don't need more, we need more love and friendship. "If you are a young kid and inspired about this band, aspire for friendship and love in what you do and you will never fail - and I love you." Last year Kate revealed she had joined OnlyFans to fund her tour. She said the extra money meant she wouldn't have to compromise on things like staff wages and safe tour buses that aren't overcrowded. Kate said she was determined to put on a "high quality show for fans" and said of her money-making campaign: "I've got a great bum. "I often flash a bit anyway so it was a fun idea, but I didn't think it would get this much of a reaction." Kate's debut album, Made Of Bricks, which went straight to No1 when it came out in 2007. 4 Kate split from her label and self-released her third and fourth records, the latter being called Yesterday Was Forever in 2018. She previously revealed she found herself in financial difficulty. The Brit School alum told The Guardian of the dip in her success after Foundations and said: "I'd trusted the wrong people with my money, which meant I had to sell my flat and move back in with my parents. "I'd worked so hard and had nothing to show for it. The worst part was that I knew I wasn't going to give up. "I briefly thought I should become a teacher instead, but then I realised: 'How are you going to do that? You don't even have a degree because you didn't get into any universities.' "Having this career is about fighting your way through it."

Lily Allen delights fans at Glastonbury with surprise performance with Shy FX

Lily Allen went from enjoying the entertainment at Glastonbury as a member of the public to performing on stage herself as she grabbed a mic to support dance act Shy FX Lily Allen has shared her delight at being able to perform in front of fans at the 2025 Glastonbury Festival. The 40-year-old singer was a surprise performer at the festival on Saturday night. Lily had been sharing snaps and video clips from Worthy Farm as she embraced the fun and festivities of the annual event. And on Saturday night she switched from partygoer to performer as she picked up a mic to sing on stage. ‌ She joined the DJ and producer Shy FX and belted out their 2018 track Roll The C. Lily donned a pair of sprakly hot pants and simple vest top as she danced and sang on stage. ‌ The viewing crowd gleefully sang along and footage circulated on social media - which Lily herself re-posted. She uploaded a collection of highlights from her weekend on Instagram. Uploading the content to her main grid, she wrote: "Much fun was had. Thank you @glastofest and @mercedesbenzuk for the lift!" Her sudden appearance meant Lily was on stage at the festival alongside huge stars including The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo. Sir Rod Stewart was also among the stars performing at the festival this year and previously shared his excitement about playing the festival. He will play the teatime Legend's Slot on Sunday - a titled that he isn't overly thrilled about. He told the BBC: "I just wish they wouldn't call it the tea time slot. That sounds like pipe and slippers, doesn't it?" However, he went on to tease fans what to expect when he takes to the stage. He said: "Usually I do well over two hours so there's still a load of songs we won't be able to do. But we've been working at it. ‌ "I'm not gonna make any announcements between songs. I'll do one number, shout 'next', and go straight into the next one. I'm going to get in as many songs I can." The singer explained that he usually plays for over two hours when he is on tour and that Glastonbury organisers initially offered him only 75 minutes for his slot - but he was able to negotiate this up to 90 minutes instead. ‌ His performance was, however, hit with technical issues and he was forced to leave the stage at certain point to resolve the issues. Straight after entertaining with his rendition of Do Ya Think I'm Sexy, Rod told the crowd: "The girls are going to do a song for you while I change my shirt. " The 2025 festival has been marred by controversy, however, as a relatively unknown band called Bob Vylan led crowds in a chant of "Death to the IDF". The sickening chant has led to the festival being compared to a Nazi rally as eager crowds egged on the suggestion of killing the only Jewish army in the world. Further controversey was stoked when Irish band Kneecap - who have been slammed for urging fans to kill MPs and for supporting the terrorist organisations Hamas and Hezbollah who both plan to destroy the western world - also took to the stage. While the Kneecap performance was censored by the BBC, Bob Vylan's set streamed live on the BBC leading to political leaders to blast the festival for allowing dangerous rhetoric to air. Addressing the backlash, a BBC spokesperson said: 'Some of the comments made during Bob Vylan's set were deeply offensive. During this live stream on iPlayer, which reflected what was happening on stage, a warning was issued on screen about the very strong and discriminatory language. We have no plans to make the performance available on demand.'

Drum and bass festival goer, 21, dies at event 'shut down for being too hot'

A 21-year-old man has died at a drum and bass festival was closed down for being too hot. The man was rushed from Margate Drum and Bass to the hospital - the event was then shutdown early. Organisers of the event at Dreamland Margate, an amusement park in Kent, announced on social media that it was forced to 'close early' as 'it was just too hot today'. The event was due to end at 10:45pm Saturday evening but organisers issued an announcement at 6:30pm to say it would be closing prematurely, urging gig-goers to 'get home safely'. A force spokesperson told The Sun today: 'Kent Police was made aware of a report that a man in his 20s, who was taken to hospital following a medical incident at Dreamland in Margate on the afternoon of Saturday 28 June 2025, subsequently died. 'Officers are making enquiries into the circumstances of the death which is not believed to be suspicious. 'A report is being prepared for the coroner.' A note was sent to all members of Thanet District Council by the authority's chief executive Colin Carmichael last night, KentOnline reported. An unnamed councillor told KentOnline that his note said: 'Very sadly, a 21-year-old man was taken by blue light services from Dreamland and died at QEQM (Hospital). 'We understand that medical advisers approved the medical provisions set up by Dreamland for this event, but of course, police will carry out a proper investigation. 'We are not intending to speculate until we have the results of that.' The festival, which was open only to over 18-year-olds was due to be headlined by Andy C, alongside performances from Wilkinson, K Motionz, Mozey and Fish56octagon. A festival goer told KentOnline that Mozey came on stage to tell everyone to leave the festival. They said a few people were angry but most other revellers were calm about the situation. A crowd of around 7,000 were evacuated shortly after the announcement. A man announcing the closure on the tannoy reportedly said the closure was due to staff being 'inundated' by people needing medical assistance. It follows the death of 17-year-old Emily Stokes who died in hospital last year after attending the same festival in Kent. Her sister Megan said she 'passed away from an overdose from being spiked'. Megan has since paid tribute to her older sister, saying she was the 'kindest person you could ever meet' and 'was so full of life'. Ms Stokes was found to have 5,500 micrograms of MDMA per litre of the teenager's blood – more than three times higher than the level that has been fatal in other drug overdose cases. The inquest was also told that a batch of the drug circulating in the area at the time was laced with lethal fentanyl.
