Indianapolis Colts again go QB in way-too-early 2026 NFL mock draft
In the latest way-too-early 2026 NFL mock draft from PFN, the Indianapolis Colts again take a quarterback in the first round. In the latest way-too-early 2026 NFL mock draft from Pro Football Network, the Indianapolis Colts again take a quarterback in the first round. Until we see how things unfold this season with either Daniel Jones or Anthony Richardson, this is going to continue to be the case in these mocks. Now, the obvious caveat here is that with the 2026 NFL draft being so far out, predicting what will actually happen is a nearly impossible task. Team needs will change while prospects will slide up and down big boards. So, instead, use these mocks as more of a guide to which players to watch as the upcoming college football season unfolds. PFSN analyst Joe DeLeone put together this mock with the Colts picking seventh overall, as determined by the Pro Football Network Mock Draft Simulator. And with that selection, the Colts took LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier. "If the Indianapolis Colts are picking in the top 10, it's time to reset at quarterback," wrote DeLeone. "Anthony Richardson was very inexperienced coming out of Florida with immense potential. They can right the ship by drafting Garrett Nussmeier, who is the same age as Richardson. Nussmeier presents a quick trigger arm and impressive touch as a passer." The 2024 season was Nussmeier's first as a starter. He would complete 64% of his passes while throwing for 4,043 yards with 29 touchdowns to 12 interceptions, according to PFF. Among eligible quarterbacks, Nussmeier ranked 38th in completion rate, 35th in yards per attempt, and he was seventh in big-time throws.

There has been plenty of debate about what the Jets should do with the No. 7 overall pick. Some people want them to take a pass catcher. Others want an offensive lineman. A few want defense. Lions fans are selecting James Pearce at No. 28 in simulations more than any other player
Lions fans are selecting James Pearce at No. 28 in simulations more than any other player Despite Pearce being widely regarded as a poor cultural fit for Detroit, Lions fans continue to make him the top 1st-round selection in PFSN simulator Most of the recent media mock drafts have sent an EDGE in some fashion to the Detroit Lions at No. 28. The thought makes sense as the Lions are looking for more depth and more pieces to a rotation behind Aidan Hutchinson. Fans are making the same connection. According to data from the Mock Draft Simulator from Pro Football and Sports Network, over 47 percent of users from April 15-21 have selected an edge rusher for the Lions in the first round. The next-closest position was offensive guard at 16.7%, followed by defensive tackle at 14.5%. Safety and linebacker rounded out the top five. As far as individual players go, the data provides a bit of a surprise. The most-popular player pick from users identifying as Lions drafters last week was Tennessee EDGE James Pearce Jr., at 17.9%. That's an interesting choice because the prevailing thought seems to be Pearce wouldn't be a fit in Detroit based on his character. Pearce may fall out of the first round altogether. Overall, three of the top five popular picks are on the edge. 15% of users have taken Texas A&M EDGE Nic Scourton and 7.3% went with Donovan Ezeiruaku of Boston College. Also among the top five were North Dakota State guard Grey Zabel (10.9%) and Ole Miss defensive tackle Walter Nolen (5.6%). From PFSN and their simulator results: Ezeiruaku has been a name that's seemingly popped up very often across media mock drafts. He was second in the nation with 16.5 sacks, behind only Mike Green of Marshall, who may go in the first 15 picks. For the most part, users are on the same page in terms of positions and players as the media. But Pearce being the most-picked player is an interesting takeaway.

PFF names Packers' #1 selection in mock draft simulator
Photo by Peter Joneleit/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images Once draft season is in full swing, one of the most popular football websites around is Pro Football Focus' Mock Draft Simulator. There, fans spend hours crafting mock drafts, either for their team or the league as a whole. Advertisement On Monday, PFF released a list of each team's most-selected player, generally who their most popular selection is in the first round. For the Green Bay Packers, it's defensive end James Pearce Jr. of Tennesse, who reportedly took a pre-draft visit with the team. Here's what PFF has to say about the pass-rusher: Pearce is the kind of athlete with the production and disruption scores you don't let out of the first round. His twitchy movements show difference-making NFL traits that can be situational at worst and All-Pro at best. The Packers could clearly use an extra pass-rusher going into 2025, considering that they haven't added anyone to their room. While they've made a coaching change on the defensive line, firing Jason Rebrovich to hire DeMarcus Covington, they still return Rashan Gary, Kingsley Enagbare, Lukas Van Ness and Brenton Cox Jr. as their two-deep this season. If you're hoping that Green Bay is locked into Pearce, though, here's some bad news: Pearce was also the most-drafted prospect for five other teams on the mock draft simulator. Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders fans apparently think they're in a good position to select the SEC defender, too. So maybe don't count your chickens before they hatch. Advertisement More from

PFF's mock draft sim favors Cowboys picking All-American WR over and over and over
PFF's mock draft sim favors Cowboys picking All-American WR over and over and over PFF's Mock Draft Simulator has identified the most-picked 2025 NFL Draft prospect for the Dallas Cowboys, with one offensive playmaker emerging. Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan Since 2023: 🔴 90.5 PFF Grade (3rd) 🔴 173 Receptions (2nd) 🔴 2,712 Yards (1st) 🔴 35 Contested Catches (1st) 🔴 70 Explosive Plays (1st) — PFF College (@PFF_College) March 11, 2025 The 2025 NFL Draft is less than a month away and this year's rotation lands in Green Bay, WI, where 257 prospects will see their dreams become a reality. Between now and then hundreds of thousands of mock drafts will be conducted online. For the Dallas Cowboys, who hold the No. 12 overall pick, mocks have varied significantly, featuring names like Boise State's Ashton Jeanty, Michigan's Will Johnson, and Missouri's Armand Membou. However, according to the Pro Football Focus mock draft simulator, one name that consistently stands out for Dallas is Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, who is ranked as PFF's No. 3 overall prospect in this year's draft class. After a wave of defensive acquisitions in free agency, the Cowboys will need to focus on finding another reliable target for QB Dak Prescott, who is recovering from a season-ending hamstring injury, and a playmaker to complement All-Pro WR CeeDee Lamb. McMillan can be just that guy for an offense that will now be led under the direction of first-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer. McMillan has All-Pro potential because of his length, athleticism and football intelligence. He's a smooth criminal of a receiver who was the focal point of Arizona's offense. He is a unique talent who deserves to be considered in the top 10 of the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-4, 219-lb wideout's talents were on full display during the past two seasons. McMillan went on to record 174 receptions for 2,721 yards and 18 touchdowns between 2023 and 2024. At the conclusion of last season, the Junior wideout was named a Consensus All-American, a First-team All-Big 12 selection, and a finalist for the Fred Biletnikoff Award, which was won by Colorado's Travis Hunter. The highly touted playmaker's size and speed are what stand out the most. During his Pro Day, scouts clocked McMillan at a 4.48 40-yard dash time. He possesses strong yard-after-catch ability, is a good route runner, and is a physical run blocker. What truly elevates McMillan's game, though, is his football IQ. He reads coverages exceptionally well and understands how to manipulate defenders to create space. Whether he's winning on deep routes, working the sidelines, or making clutch third-down grabs, McMillan consistently proved to be the focal point of Arizona's offense. Pairing a playmaker like McMillan with Lamb would instantly give Dallas one of the best WR duos in the league. With his added skill set coupled with Lamb's abilities, it would pose a nightmare for opposing defenses.
