Al-Azhar Condemns Hanover Terror Attack, Urges Action Against White Supremacist Violence in Europe

Mohamed Mandour Al-Azhar strongly condemned what it described as a 'heinous terrorist attack' that claimed the life of Algerian student Rahma Ayat in the German city of Hanover. The attack, reportedly carried out by a far-right extremist, has sparked outrage across the Muslim world. In a statement issued Monday, Al-Azhar expressed its deep sorrow over the assassination, calling it a 'barbaric act' that reflects the alarming rise of white supremacist and anti-Muslim violence in Europe. The institution stressed the urgent need for European governments to confront far-right terrorism and dismantle the ideological and political foundations of neo-white supremacist movements.
