KUALA LUMPUR: Police detained two foreign men yesterday for allegedly impersonating a public servant and engaging in a physical altercation at Jalan Dinar, Taman Subang Perdana, Kampung Baru Subang, Selangor. Sungai Buloh police chief Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said authorities received a distress call at 1.15 pm, prompting patrol officers to intervene. 'Upon arriving, officers arrested two foreign nationals, aged 26 and 32, suspected of involvement in the fight. One was found handcuffed inside a car,' he stated. Initial investigations revealed the dispute arose from a personal disagreement between the two individuals, who were reportedly friends. Police seized two Perodua cars and a pair of handcuffs from the scene. The case is being investigated under Section 160 (affray) and Section 170 (impersonating a public servant) of the Penal Code, as well as Section 89 of the Police Act 1967 for unlawful possession of police equipment. Sungai Buloh police chief Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said a call regarding the fight was received at 1.15pm on Saturday (June 28), after which patrol officers were dispatched to the scene. "Upon arriving at the scene, the officers arrested two foreign nationals aged 26 and 32, who were suspected of being involved in the fight. One of the suspects was found handcuffed inside a car. "Preliminary investigations revealed that the fight between the two individuals, who are friends, stemmed from a disagreement over a family matter," he said in a statement on Sunday. He said police seized two Perodua cars found at the scene and a pair of handcuffs, adding that the case is being probed under Section 160 and Section 170 of the Penal Code for causing affray and impersonating a public servant, as well as Section 89 of the Police Act 1967 for the unlawful possession of police equipment. SUNGAI BULOH: An argument over a messy room is believed to have led to a fatal altercation between two housemates, resulting in one man being stabbed to death at a house in Kampung Kubu Gajah, Sungai Pelong. Sungai Buloh district police chief Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said both men had moved from Kelantan about six months ago and had been living together since. "Initial investigations showed that an argument broke out between them over a domestic issue involving a messy room. "During the fight, the 33-year-old victim was fatally stabbed with a knife by the 40-year-old suspect," he said today. He added that a urine test showed the suspect tested positive for drugs. The suspect has been remanded for six days until July 1 to assist in investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. It was reported yesterday that the victim, who had recently moved from Kelantan, was found dead with a stab wound to the chest, believed to be the result of a dispute with his housemate.

KUALA LUMPUR - A man was fatally stabbed in the chest, believed to be the result of a quarrel with his housemate, at a home in Kampung Kubu Gajah, Sungai Pelong, Sungai Buloh last night. Sungai Buloh police chief Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said they received a call regarding the incident at 11.26pm and, upon arrival at the scene, found the 33-year-old victim lying with a stab wound to the left side of his chest. He said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from Sungai Buloh Hospital. "The housemate, a 40-year-old man, has been remanded for six days starting today to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. "Police also seized the knife believed to have been used in the incident," he said in a statement today. The victim's body has been sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem and urged those with information to go to the nearest police station or contact the Sungai Pelong Police Station hotline at 03-6038 3322 or Insp Nurnazihah Norzilan at 011-11499008. - BERNAMA
