Man fatally stabbed by housemate in Sungai Buloh after argument
KUALA LUMPUR: A 33-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the chest following an alleged argument with his housemate in Kampung Kubu Gajah, Sungai Pelong, Sungai Buloh last night.
Sungai Buloh police chief Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor confirmed that authorities received an emergency call at 11.26 pm. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with a stab wound on the left side of his chest. Paramedics from Sungai Buloh Hospital pronounced him dead at the scene.
The 40-year-old housemate has been remanded for six days to assist in investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. Police also seized the knife believed to be the murder weapon.
The victim's body has been sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Sungai Pelong Police Station at 03-6038 3322 or Insp Nurnazihah Norzilan at 011-11499008.

Pahang police submit investigation papers in alleged royal assault probe
KUANTAN: Police have submitted investigation papers to the Attorney-General's Chambers (A-GC) regarding the alleged assault of a trader involving a member of the royal family at an entertainment venue here in May. Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said investigations were completed in accordance with A-GC instructions and submitted on June 23. "The investigation papers were initially submitted to federal police and the A-GC on June 18. "They were later returned with instructions to carry out several additional steps. "We have since complied and resubmitted the papers last week. "We are now awaiting further directives," he told reporters at a press conference at the Kuantan district police headquarters today. Yahaya said statements from 14 witnesses, including the trader, had been recorded, and no weapons were seized during the investigation. The assault incident came to light after a police report went viral on June 13, alleging that a 30-year-old trader was assaulted by a bodyguard and stabbed by a royal figure. The trader is said to have sustained injuries and lodged a police report on June 5. The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt with a weapon, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years' imprisonment, a fine, whipping, or any combination thereof upon conviction. On June 20, Wan Mohd Zahari said three men detained to assist in the investigation into the nightclub incident in May had been released on police bail. Barely a year ago, a member of the Pahang royal family was among five individuals jointly charged in a separate case for allegedly assaulting a 44-year-old man with a knife in Kuantan.
