Emmerdale legend released from prison as a shock decision is made

Joe Tate's (Ned Porteous) meddling has caused a feud to form between Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Sam Dingle (James Hooton) in Emmerdale. Joe was put in charge of Kim Tate's (Claire King) grand plan a few days ago. As she left for Dubai, Joe decided to focus on getting Butlers Farm from Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb). He pounced on his prey after learning that Moira had received more bad news from the water company. Due to Moira being in a vulnerable position when Joe put forward the idea of her selling, it meant she was very tempted. Moira changed her mind on signing the contract when she discovered Joe had paid Noel from the water company to deliberately reject her appeal. She then faced a nightmare when two teens broke into a barn, and immediately thought that Joe was responsible for organising it. At Home Farm, Joe told Moira that his plans, as ruthless as they are, never involve putting children in danger. Moira didn't believe him and went to punch Joe, but poor Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) got in the way. Moira was arrested and taken to the station in this evening's episode and while this was happening, Cain was on the warpath. He found Lydia and told her to lie to the police if she got questioned about Moira hitting her. Lydia was unsure about this, but Cain threatened her and said she didn't have a choice. While Cain was playing bad cop, Joe took a different approach. He spoke to Lydia and Sam and said that he likes them both, and said Moira shouldn't get away with an act of violence. More Trending Moira ended up getting released from prison due to the complaint getting dropped. Unfortunately though, that wasn't the end of the matter. In the pub, Cain and Sam continued to argue. Cain felt frustrated over Sam's loyalty to the Tates, while Sam looked at his brother differently after his confrontation with Lydia. Cain told Sam that he needs to pick a side – and he chose the Tates…which is bound to just make things worse. Emmerdale star confirms very unexpected new friendship for Moira Dingle

Moira Dingle is no stranger to chaos, but in upcoming Emmerdale scenes, the beloved character finds herself fighting multiple battles. From betrayals at home to a terrifying farm break-in, Moira's world is crumbling fast. Natalie J. Robb, who plays the iconic Moira Dingle, teases that just when it seems like things can't get any worse, a surprising new character enters the scene, but this potential friendship may come with strings attached. 'Moira's always been feisty,' Natalie says. 'Moira has always been unpredictable like that, and if anyone threatens her home, and particularly her children, she always sees the red mist. That's never changed; it's been like that since day one. Maybe it's more severe as time's gone on and she's hit the menopause.' Right now, Moira's under serious pressure. After a slurry leak on her land, she's hit with a huge fine, one that pushes her to the brink financially. Worse still, she learns that Joe Tate was pulling strings behind her back. 'A lot of this is coming from the slurry leak, that fine has really put her in trouble, that's Mackenzie's doing, although it's actually John's,' Natalie explains. 'She has all these people going behind her back, making deals behind her back. People are trying to push her out, especially Joe Tate. Everywhere she goes, she's stuck, she's got her back against the wall, and her stress levels are getting higher and higher.' Moira lodges an appeal, but unbeknownst to her, it's already been sabotaged. 'Joe Tate paid the water board to not allow it to go through. She finds that out and obviously confronts Joe,' Natalie reveals. 'It's like a proper battle, we're the peasants and they're the ones that really don't care. They don't care about the land, it's all for access roads and routes to keep different parts of land connected, which she later on finds out.' Joe then pushes Kim Tate's offer to buy the farm, a tempting lifeline that comes with a catch. Moira could stay on as a tenant farmer, but the land would no longer be hers. 'She thinks about it at first because the offer is quite good, and they propose that she can still stay on the farm as a tenant farmer,' Natalie says. 'In this day and age, it's quite a common thing… but they don't own it and at any possible time when a contract ends, they can leave and they wouldn't have any say.' Even Cain is conflicted. 'He doesn't want her to sell, obviously, and he certainly wouldn't want Kim Tate to be the one that buys it,' Natalie explains. 'Nor does Moira, but she also can't deal with the stress. And Cain, after her tumour and everything else, he sees her getting stressed so says he will back her regardless, even though it's not something that he wants.' Things escalate when a break-in at the farm leaves Moira's son Kyle in danger. Two masked intruders, tied to a drug plot involving Robert, scare the boy, who ends up injuring one in self-defence. 'Kyle hears something in the barn so he goes in and sees two guys with balaclavas on, quite frightening,' Natalie says. 'They start threatening him and he panics and pushes the pitchfork out and it catches one of them in the leg. The other one's about to hurt Kyle, and then Moira comes in with a shotgun.' Moira assumes Joe is behind the attack and defies Cain by going to the police. 'She's thinking Joe Tate's gone a step too far,' Natalie explains. 'She tells the police it's him, and no one threatens my children. Kyle's traumatised because of what happened before with him shooting Al, so that brings things up for him.' But when she confronts Joe, it backfires, badly. 'She's like, how dare you do this to my children,' Natalie says. 'He says something that makes her mad and she goes to punch him. Lydia jumps in front of her and gets punched in the ear which is quite horrific. I'm devastated that it's Lydia of all people.' That single moment sparks a fierce Dingle family feud. 'Obvs Moira doesn't handle it in the best way,' Natalie admits, 'but [Sam] knows that she hasn't deliberately done it to Lydia. He's divided more because Cain then threatens Lydia not to press charges. I'm saying to Cain, 'You didn't threaten her, did you?' and he's like, 'No, not at all', but obviously he does, and it all comes out.' Now, Moira must repair broken relationships and deal with a new threat, Celia, a sharp-edged woman renting nearby farmland. Natalie teases. 'She's quite hostile and she's very rude when we first meet. She says, 'I know you need the money and I'd like to rent your farm' for like literally next to nothing, and I'm like, 'No, that's not gonna happen.'' More Trending But Celia quickly changes tack. 'She starts to befriend her and Moira actually quite likes her in the end,' she adds. 'The question is, Celia could be working with someone else to try and push her out, but it's whether Celia will stick with that. She's someone she doesn't want to be reckoned with.' Despite everything, Natalie hopes Moira's resilience shines through. 'She always has problems with the farm, doesn't she? But it's real life, I suppose, because it is tough for farmers out there,' she reflects. 'Hopefully, good things can come from it, new ideas can be made to work on the farm, like glamping sites and things like that. That's in my head, that would be nice.' As Moira's personal and professional lives collide, fans can expect emotional showdowns, shifting loyalties, and a possible new enemy hiding in plain sight. View More » 'She's doing everything she can to keep things together,' Natalie concludes. 'It's just sad that all these people are trying to get a piece of her, and there are more people that are going to come into it with more threatening behaviours. There's some dark people coming into it, which I'm sure you know about.' Much-loved Emmerdale legend attacked as Joe Tate revenge goes wrong

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is desperate to prove to Kim Tate (Claire King) that he can be trusted. This is a big ask, given that only a short while ago in Emmerdale he was planning to drug her to help Crowley (James Hillier) steal all of her money. In coming episodes he's putting plans in motion to get Moira (Natalie J Robb)'s land to help build Kim's empire, but a beloved local resident ends up getting caught in the crossfire. Moira's farm is hanging in the balance after the disaster when slurry was released from the farm and contaminated the lake. Facing a very hefty fine, Moira fears she could lose her business altogether. Joe has been trying to take advantage of this predicament to get her to sign the land over to Kim. Kim herself has gone to Dubai, leaving the deal in Joe's hands and he knows this could be his one big chance to prove that he's someone she can depend on to get the job done. In upcoming episodes he warns Moira that he'll do whatever it takes to get their land, leaving Moira and Cain (Jeff Hordley) fuming. They try to reassure Kyle (Huey Quinn) and Isaac (Bobby Dunsmuir) that they won't lose their home, but secretly they're worried. Later the boys hear a noise in the barn and investigate. They're shocked to see two masked teenagers inside, one of whom is April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan)'s friend Dylan (Fred Kettle). Kyle and Isaac are so shocked and frightened by discovering the masked teens that Kyle arms himself with a pitchfork and accidentally stabs Dylan in the leg before Moira arrives and scares the intruders away. Cain is convinced that Joe has put the teenagers up to this and it's part of his plan to harass them into giving up the land, and he reacts in traditional Cain style by wanting to go out and get instant revenge on Joe. Moira insists that they call the police instead, and PC Swirling (Andy Moore) duly turns up to investigate. He can't find anything to pin the incident on Joe, who naturally denies any involvement. Moira is seething with anger and frustration and goes to hit Joe. Unfortunately her back-hander accidentally catches poor Lydia (Karen Blick) instead. Bless her, missing for months and returns only to get walloped. 'Lydia jumps in front of her and gets punched in the ear which is quite horrific,' Natalie J Robb told us. 'I'm devastated that it's Lydia of all people. This is bound to cause more trouble between the Dingles.' Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? Cain demands conflicted Dingle choose a side as war is waged in Emmerdale

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A war is brewing in Emmerdale and it's Dingles vs Tates as they battle over Moira Dingle's (Natalie J Robb) farmland. Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is more determined than ever to get the land for Kim Tate (Claire King). Joe has a vested interest in getting Kim as much money as possible following the ordeal with Doctor Crowley. The struck off doc, who violently threatened Joe into paying him £100k, turned up as Kim Tate's new boyfriend Eddie and made it clear to Joe he's only in it for Kim's cash. After betraying her, Joe is now working hard to prove to Kim that he can be trusted. He confesses to Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) that he has a plan to get the land while Moira tries to hang onto it by the fingernails. Desperate to maintain her livelihood, she tempts fate by telling her sons their home is safe. But Kyle knows better and heads off to protect his family's home. As he surveys the property, he is confronted by two masked teenagers who he disturbs in a barn. Acting on instinct, Kyle grabs a pitchfork and stabs one in the leg. The teens scarper when Moira appears and scares them off. Cain (Jeff Hordley) immediately blames Joe, but he denies any knowledge. Moira takes it to the police, but Swirling says there's not much that can be done. The battle lines are drawn, and Joe retaliates with his own call to the police, resulting in Moira's arrest. She's quickly told things do not look good. More Trending At a time like this what the Dingles need is to club together. What they don't need is one of their own working for the enemy. Emmerdale legend in danger as Joe Tate sets out to destroy her

Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is a man on a mission in Emmerdale. Ever since he broke Kim Tate's (Claire King) trust, Joe has been determined to rebuild their relationship. When Kim mentioned her grand plan to him a couple of days later, he was more than happy to be appointed assistant. Said plan is to buy all of the land that surrounds Home Farm, so the Tates can become more powerful and richer than ever before. It's quite the task, but both Joe and Kim are determined to make it work. With Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) currently refusing to budge with Annie's farmland, Joe turned his attention back to Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) in tonight's episode. Yesterday, he got word that she had another fine to pay post-slurry spill, and knew that was the exact moment to strike. Because Joe offered to buy Butlers Farm at a time Moira felt vulnerable, it seemed tempting to her. She could see the benefits of running the farm as a tenant, without the business stress alongside it. Moira had a conversation with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) about this, and he said he will support her, whatever she decides to do. Very close to signing the contract offer, Moira then made a huge discovery. Outside the new stables, Joe was having a conversation with Noel, the man who told Moira yesterday that her appeal to the water company had been declined. Listening in on the conversation, Moira was disgusted to learn that Joe had paid Noel to deliberately give her bad news about the appeal. At Home Farm a while later, Moira arrived and confirmed to Joe that she absolutely won't be giving him Butlers Farm. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers?
