Dolphins UDFA Profile: WR Monaray Baldwin
The Miami Dolphins have speed all over their offense, and undrafted free agent wide receiver Monaray Baldwin is looking to be the team's newest big-play threat. Baldwin was a slot receiver during his four seasons at Baylor where he became a key contributor to the Bears offense. In 2023, The Athletic highlighted Baldwin's athleticism, naming him one of the biggest "Freaks" in college football. On the field, Baldwin averaged 16.9 yards per reception in 44 collegiate games, finding the end zone 15 times: 13 through the air and two on the ground. He finished his Baylor career with 99 receptions for 1,673 yards and 178 rushing yards on 19 attempts, averaging an impressive 9.4 yards per carry. Baldwin broke out as a sophomore with 33 receptions for 564 yards, four receiving touchdowns, and one rushing score. Known for his yards-after-catch ability, The Athletic's Bruce Feldman noted, 'He hit 22.8 MPH on the GPS on a touchdown, which was the fastest clocked in-game speed for a college player in 2022.' Last season, Baldwin posted his best yards per reception average at Baylor (17.7) and scored a career-high five touchdowns. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle lead Miami's wide receiver room with second-year player Malik Washington and free-agent signee Nick Westbrook-Ikhine currently penciled in as the third and fourth receivers heading into training camp. The fifth spot could become a hotly contested battle between Baldwin, a trio of other undrafted wideouts, and last year's seventh-round pick Tahj Washington, who spent all of 2024 on injured reserve. Baldwin also brings moderate kick-return experience from college and could factor into that phase during camp. His versatility, crisp route-running, and explosiveness, including a 4.32-second 40-yard dash, make him a player to watch closely this summer. Report: Jaguars meet with speedy WR at Baylor Pro Day
Report: Jaguars meet with speedy WR at Baylor Pro Day The Jaguars have reportedly met with speedy Baylor WR Monaray Baldwin at his Pro Day. With Pro Days well underway, the Jacksonville Jaguars have reportedly met with speedy Baylor wide receiver Monaray Baldwin, according to John Shipley of Jaguars on Sports Illustrated. Baldwin measures in at 5-9, weighs 172 pounds, and brings a lot of speed to the NFL level. Almost all of his playing time has come from the slot, and he's often been targeted either near the line of scrimmage, where he can get the ball in space and let his YAC abilities take over, or as a downfield vertical threat. Baldwin has had at least 50 targets in each of the last three seasons, including a career-high of 71 in 2023. He's caught 56.6% of those passes during that span and averaged an impressive 16.9 yards per catch, according to PFF. After moving on from Christian Kirk, Josh Reynolds, and Devin Duvernay, even with the addition of Dyami Brown in free agency, wide receiver still remains a need for the Jaguars. One of the big questions right now is, who will emerge as WR2 this season? Baldwin's presence in the offense would add another vertical presence, but he could also be someone who gets the ball on designed touches and is utilized as a motion man to cause some chaos pre-snap for opposing defenses--adding to that multiplicity element that Liam Cown wants to have.
