Report: Jaguars meet with speedy WR at Baylor Pro Day
With Pro Days well underway, the Jacksonville Jaguars have reportedly met with speedy Baylor wide receiver Monaray Baldwin, according to John Shipley of Jaguars on Sports Illustrated.
Baldwin measures in at 5-9, weighs 172 pounds, and brings a lot of speed to the NFL level. Almost all of his playing time has come from the slot, and he's often been targeted either near the line of scrimmage, where he can get the ball in space and let his YAC abilities take over, or as a downfield vertical threat.
Baldwin has had at least 50 targets in each of the last three seasons, including a career-high of 71 in 2023. He's caught 56.6% of those passes during that span and averaged an impressive 16.9 yards per catch, according to PFF.
After moving on from Christian Kirk, Josh Reynolds, and Devin Duvernay, even with the addition of Dyami Brown in free agency, wide receiver still remains a need for the Jaguars. One of the big questions right now is, who will emerge as WR2 this season?
Baldwin's presence in the offense would add another vertical presence, but he could also be someone who gets the ball on designed touches and is utilized as a motion man to cause some chaos pre-snap for opposing defenses--adding to that multiplicity element that Liam Cown wants to have.

Former Jacksonville Jaguars' running back signs with Baltimore Ravens
Former Jacksonville Jaguars running back D'Ernest Johnson is reportedly signing with the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Johnson spent two seasons with the Jaguars and had a relatively small role on offense, totaling just 41 carries during that span. He did, however, average 4.5 yards per rush in 2024 and made the most of his pass-catching opportunities, recording 206 receiving yards in his two seasons with Jacksonville on just 22 receptions, per PFF. Johnson also played just 55 special teams snaps last season after seeing 142 the year prior. Johnson was a free agent this offseason, and like every other unrestricted free agent that the Jaguars had, GM James Gladstone let him walk. The Jaguars' running back room quickly became crowded with Tank Bigsby and Travis Etienne returning, while Gladstone also added Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen in the NFL draft. Jacksonville Jaguars boost cornerback depth with veteran free agent signing
The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly signing cornerback Levi Wallace, according to Ian Rapoport. The addition of Wallace bolsters the depth at cornerback while the team is without Buster Brown. Wallace is an experienced player, having appeared in 96 games on defense, which includes making 72 starts. He was most recently with the Denver Broncos last season, where he played 308 snaps, allowing a completion rate of 70.4% with one pass breakup, according to PFF. Most of Wallace's snaps in his career have come outside, and for what it's worth, he's often graded out well against the run and as a tackler by PFF's metrics. For his career, he has allowed a completion rate of 59%, 12.4 yards per catch, and recorded 12 interceptions and 35 pass breakups. Jaguars' CB Buster Brown expected to miss remainder of training camp with injury
Jacksonville Jaguars' cornerback Buster Brown had been sidelined the last few practices. On Monday, head coach Liam Coen provided an injury update, saying that Brown will miss the rest of training camp. "A couple injury updates for you," Coen said. "Buster Brown's got a left lower leg. Do not expect him back in training camp." Brown worked with the starters during offseason programs, according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco, lining up opposite of Tyson Campbell. He had adjusted well to Anthony Campanile's zone-heavy defensive scheme, routinely making plays on the football during the spring. Without Brown for the time being, it creates an opportunity for others to seize control of those starting snaps. The top two candidates to take over are Travis Hunter, who is coming off an impressive defensive performance on Sunday, along with Jarrian Jones, who, according to DiRocco, was still adjusting to the new defensive scheme during OTAs and minicamp. Coen didn't specify a timeline, but did add that Brown is expected to be back for the season. "I think it gives us an opportunity to get guys reps," Coen added. "We expect him back for the season obviously. So gives a great op for Jarrian Jones, obviously Travis to continue to get quality reps, and Tre Prince to continue to get reps. Zech McPhearson and the same with Christian Braswell. So it just gives us options. Yeah, it's a bummer for Buster, I love Buster, but anytime that happens, it is completely a new window and opportunity for somebody else. The reps are quality for us."
