Bethenny Frankel Slams Astronomer CEO Andy Byron For Coldplay Concert Fiasco: 'The Heck Were You Thinking?'

Former "Real Housewives of New York City" star Bethenny Frankel recently shared some choice words for Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, who has been embroiled in controversy since being seen cuddling his company's HR Chief, Kristin Cabot, on the "kiss cam" during a Coldplay concert. Bethenny Frankel Had Choice Words For Astronomer CEO Andy Byron After Being Seen Cozying Up With HR Chief During A Coldplay Concert On TikTok, Frankel, 54, slammed Byron for his lack of discretion at a concert for a "mainstream" band. 'What's wrong with a Motel 6? Who could you not run into at a Coldplay concert?' the reality star asked her followers, referring to the viral clip of Byron ducking behind a fixture when Coldplay's "kiss cam" landed on him and his alleged mistress. 'Who could you not run into at a Coldplay concert? Your third-grade teacher, your gynecologist, your college fraternity brother, your daughter's cheerleading captain. It's not like it's a Metallica concert," she continued. Frankel drove her point home by saying that Byron and Cabot could have also run into "Dan from accounting" and "Jane from [human resources]" there as well. 'Like, what the f-ck were you thinking?' she asked, adding, "Dude, Astronomer, the 'Sky Full of Stars' that's for shizzle. What the f-ck?" Fans React To Frankel's Comments About Astronomer CEO And His Alleged Affair Under Frankel's TikTok video, her followers joined her in commenting on the fiasco, with one writing, "Baby, she WAS Jane from HR." Someone else commented, "Coldplay haven't made a single in years, last night, they made 2." Another one of Frankel's followers agreed with her, adding that going to "a Coldplay concert is like going to the neighborhood grocery store." A fourth fan echoed that sentiment, writing, "I literally ran into a coworker I hadn't seen in a decade at a Coldplay concert." Coldplay's Lead Singer Seemed To Regret Calling Byron And Cabot Out During The Concert In the viral clip, Coldplay's lead singer, Chris Martin, can be heard seemingly regretting the incident in real time. At the beginning of the clip, when Byron and Cabot hid their faces from the camera, Martin told the audience, "Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy." Later, Martin told the crowd, "I don't know what to do" before adding, "Oh sh-t, I hope we didn't do something bad." Astronomer CEO Praised Cabot For Her Leadership Skills In A November 2024 Press Release Ironically, in November 2024, Byron, whose previous employment history includes high-level leadership positions at companies such as Fuze and BMC Software, spoke highly of Cabot, who was appointed to her position as Chief People Officer at Astronomer. In his statement, Byron boasted about Cabot's "exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management [and] employee management." Byron continued, calling Cabot a "proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies" and highlighting her "passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces." In that press release, Cabot also commented on her new position and said, 'I prefer to think of my role as people strategy versus traditional human resources, as the real magic happens when you align the people strategy with the business strategy." She continued, 'There are plenty of companies out there where a leadership team doesn't recognize the value that a strong people leader and people team can bring to a company. It's not just about benefits or catered lunches. There's so much more to it, and I was energized in my conversations with Andy and the Astronomer leadership team about the opportunities that exist here.' Byron Is Under Investigation And Has Been Placed On Leave According to PEOPLE, a spokesperson for Astronomer has since confirmed that Byron has "been placed on leave," with other employees stepping into interim roles for the time being. In a statement shared on their social media pages, Astronomer also confirmed the company has launched an official investigation into the matter. 'Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability,' the company said on Friday, July 18, 2025. 'The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.' The company also addressed different claims that state other Astronomer workers were present at the concert, adding, "... no other employees were in the video." Solve the daily Crossword

Man charged in shooting that injured 2 outside Pierce County motel last week

A Kent man is accused of shooting and injuring two people outside a motel in Fife on Thursday. Prosecutors have charged Xaeyante Chamar Owens, 27, with two counts of first-degree assault. A plea of not guilty was entered on Owens' behalf during his arraignment Monday afternoon. Pierce County Superior Court Commissioner Barbara McInvaille set bail at $10,000, court records show. Fife officers were dispatched at 1:17 a.m. to a Motel 6 in the 5200 block of 20th Street East for a shooting. The person who reported the incident told dispatch her boyfriend was involved and a hotel clerk. A Shot Spotter device also detected eight gunshots in the area, according to charging documents. Officers learned two males who wore hoodies ran from the scene along the west side of the motel. Several shell casings were found in the area, documents show. Through security footage, it appeared there was an altercation between several people in a parking lot where the shell casings were found, documents show. A person fired a gunshot at two people, both males, who then ran off and drove away in a white vehicle. Documents say Tacoma police officers later found the two injured inside a vehicle on Puyallup Avenue. They were taken to a hospital and underwent emergency surgery, documents show. Both were in stable condition Monday, according to a Fife police spokesperson. Documents show a witness told police the alleged shooter and an associate ran through the motel after the shooting and entered Room 252. The room was registered to Owens and another male. Officers later tracked the alleged shooter and an associate who ran to Room 203, where they remained. Police secured the room and instructed the people inside to exit. Owens was one of the two people to exit first. Documents show that Owens' appearance matched the alleged shooter in the surveillance footage. Five people, including Owens, were detained. He was the only person to be arrested, according to a News Tribune report. Owens allegedly told officers he had a handgun in his pocket, which officers suspected is the same caliber as the shell casings found in the parking lot, documents show. Police took Owens to the Fife Police Department for an interview, documents show. Owens allegedly admitted to shooting both victims, claiming it was self-defense. He also allegedly acknowledged that neither victim was armed or threatened him, according to charging documents. Records show Owens has been arrested in Louisiana and Washington but has not been convicted.

No one knew about the pretty teen's life in the shadows of the once-thriving steel town that was the hometown of the Jackson 5. 'She could walk into a room and just light it up with her smile and her laugh and just her presence,' her mom, Lori Townsend, told CNN . 'Afrikka never met a stranger. She loved everybody. On Oct. 17, 2014, Hardy was discovered dead in the hotel room's bathtub. Afrikka Hardy, a teenage prostitute, was Vann's final victim. FACEBOOK *** Cops in Indiana were more than familiar with Darren Deon Vann. Born in 1971, he joined the U.S. Marines in 1991 and was kicked out two years later in what was called an 'other than honourable' discharge. Vann was married for 16 years to a woman named Maria Vann, who was 30 years older than him. Cops say he threatened to kill her and did 90 days in the county jail. Vann was also convicted and sentenced to five years in a Texas prison for a sexual assault in Austin. Maria Vann had finally had enough of her hubby by the summer of 2009, and the union was dissolved in 2011. Darren Vann entered guilty pleas for the deaths of seven women, avoiding the death penalty and instead receiving life in prison without parole, on Friday, May 4, 2018. Photo by Lake County Sheriff's Department via AP / File *** At least one man believed there was a serial killer operating in Gary, Indiana. Reporter Thomas Hargove used an algorithm that proved his hunch. He urged cops to probe 15 suspicious deaths between 1980 and 2008. But his theory was pooh poohed with only a deputy coroner agreeing with his thesis. *** Afrikka Hardy had been strangled to death. Her phone records led cops to Vann and more key evidence. Under interrogation by detectives, Vann broke and admitted killing the vivacious young woman. And he told them there were more victims – many more. In fact, he confessed to six additional murders of young women. Gary is a ghost town with scores of abandoned buildings (10,000 of them) and it was in these wrecks, that Vann stashed his victim's bodies. He led investigators into the decrepit structures and to the bodies. VANN VICTIMS. I'd never allow him near my kids or in my home, because he just freaked me out.' 'Experts' said that Vann was considered a 'low risk' sex offender. Not at all. *** In addition to Hardy, six other women were murdered. Vann played show-and-tell with cops. He led them to the bodies of Anith Jones, 35, of Gary, who was last seen alive Oct. 8, 2014; Teaira Batey, 28, of Gary, who left to meet a friend on Jan. 13, 2014, and never returned; Kristine Williams, 36, of Gary, who was a mother of four and employed at the time of her death in February 2014; Tracy Martin, 41, of Gary, who was reported missing on June 26, 2014; Sonya Billingsley, 53, of Gary, who was reported missing on Feb. 7, 2014, and her body was found in an abandoned house with that of Tanya Gatlin, 27, who had been missing since January 2014. They also said Vann was stunned that he was arrested so quickly. Now, Vann was facing the death penalty via lethal injection at Indiana State Prison in Michigan City. He opted to plead guilty and was sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole. 'This is all unbelievable to me,' his wife told reporters. 'A total shocker. G6 Hospitality's Revenue Management Program Delivers Double-Digit Growth and Outperforms Market

06/24/2025, Dallas, Texas // PRODIGY: Feature Story // G6 Hospitality, parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6, today announced the results of its Revenue Management Services (RMS) program, which continues to deliver superior performance for participating properties compared to the broader portfolio and the market at large. The RMS program leverages proprietary automation tools, daily competitive set monitoring, and bi-weekly strategy calls with dedicated revenue managers. These initiatives allow general managers to focus on guest experience while G6's experts optimize pricing, channel mix, and promotional strategies. Properties enrolled in the G6 Revenue Management Services program saw an impressive 11% year-over-year revenue growth in the first quarter of 2025, more than double the growth rate of the rest of the portfolio and significantly ahead of industry benchmarks. These properties also achieved a 10% higher Average Daily Rate (ADR) compared to non-RMS properties, reflecting the program's effectiveness in optimizing pricing and maximizing revenue opportunities. The RMS program's impact is especially pronounced on G6's app & website. In Q1 2025, properties under revenue management saw web and app channel growth of 11.5%, while the rest of the portfolio experienced a 4.4% decline. This digital uplift is driven by advanced dynamic pricing, OTA optimization, and a dedicated central performance marketing team that ensures each property is positioned to capture demand across all segments. The program continued to demonstrate momentum in April 2025. Revenue-managed properties posted a 9% revenue growth for the month, compared to just 0.7% for non-revenue managed hotels. Web channel growth for RMS properties stood at 11%, dramatically outpacing the 0.6% growth for non-RMS properties. Average Daily Rate (ADR) for RMS properties reached $78.24, a significant premium over the $66.68 ADR for non-managed properties. 'Our Revenue Management Services program is designed to empower our franchisees with cutting-edge tools, strategic expertise, and real-time data to drive results,' said Sonal Sinha, CEO of G6 Hospitality. 'The success we're seeing—higher ADR, more direct bookings, and significant revenue growth—demonstrates the value of our hands-on, data-driven approach. We're proud to help our partners outperform the market and deliver exceptional value to their guests.' This announcement follows G6 Hospitality's recent launch of the AI-powered My6 app, which delivers a faster, more personalized booking experience and has already driven a 14% year-over-year increase in direct bookings. Together, these initiatives underscore G6 Hospitality's commitment to leveraging technology and data to drive growth, enhance guest satisfaction, and support franchisee success.
