ELFA to host CAF D-License Coaching Course to empower local coaches
SEDIBENG.- The Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) in conjunction with SAFA Sedibeng will host a CAF D-License Coaching Course. This coaching course is scheduled to take place at Rand Water in Vereeniging from August 25 to September 2. This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by the ELFA Technical Officer, Paul Motsepe. Motsepe said the closing date for coaches to apply for this coaching course is August 20. Motsepe said he expects a huge number of local and outside coaches to attend this course. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that this coaching course is part of an ongoing process to empower and educate local development coaches. He said there is a serious need to educate development coaches to secure a better future for South African football. 'We urge local coaches, especially those who work with development, to come in numbers to attend this coaching course. It is important for local coaches to attend this course because it will benefit not only them but the development of football in this region. As the Emfuleni Local Football Association our duty is to empower our coaches. This is not the first coaching course we will be hosting. CAF President Motsepe praises Morocco's role in hosting landmark Women's CAN 2024
The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, emphasized on Saturday in Salé that the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2024), currently taking place in Morocco, will be the most memorable edition of the tournament to date. «This edition will undoubtedly be the most successful and memorable of all. Motsepe expressed hope that African teams will advance even further in future editions of the Club World Cup. He also highlighted Morocco's historic run at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where the Atlas Lions reached the semi-finals. «Africa is proud of Morocco's performance», he said. «I am confident that an African team will be crowned World Champion in the future», he added, also predicting that Morocco will host the best-ever edition of the men's Africa Cup of Nations in 2025.
