Bo Bragason, Legend of Zelda's stunning new star, is making waves online. Who is she?
Nintendo has confirmed that Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will play the lead characters in an upcoming live-action film based on the smash hit video game series 'The Legend of Zelda.' In a post on Nintendo's official X account, video game designer and film producer Shigeru Miyamoto said he was 'pleased to announce' that Bragason would play Zelda and Ainsworth would play Link. 'I am very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen,' the post reads. 'The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 7, 2027. Thank you for your patience,' a follow-up post adds. The live-action adaptation of the iconic video game is being directed by Wes Ball and produced by Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad. Nintendo shares details A relatively known face in the movie industry, Bo Bragason, 21, is definitely not an absolute newcomer. She began her career as a child actor and her first role was in the BBC true-crime miniseries Three Girls. Bp Bragason was just 13 when she played the part of Rachel Winshaw in two episodes of the highly dramatic series. Live Events From there, she had two one-off TV series roles (in Moving On and Creeped Out) and a small role in the feature film Censor. She then went on to have the most significant role of her career to date, playing the supporting role of Roxy in the Prime Video series Renegade Nell . She was in all eight episodes.

Coronation Street casts Brookside legend in new role
Former Brookside star Sarah White has signed on the dotted line for a Coronation Street guest stint. The actress, 56, appeared as Bev Dixon in the Channel 4 soap across four separate stints between 1993 and the final ever episode in 2003. With 618 episodes under her belt, Sarah is a real soap legend – and later went on to have three parts in the now axed BBC daytime medical drama Doctors. She also starred in the 2017 film God's Own Country, and more recently in the final series of Jimmy McGovern series Moving On. Now, it has been reported that she's heading to the cobbles later in the year. Sarah's character will be entwined in Theo Silverton's (James Cartwright) bitter divorce from wife Danielle (Natalie Anderson), who he left for a new life with Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce). His difficult upbringing was then explored, with Theo revealing that he had been put through conversion therapy. Recent scenes have shown his behaviour become somewhat unpredictable, and his daughter Millie (Kaitlyn Early) has caused a multitude of issues. After faking a pregnancy, she continued to try and drive a wedge between her father and Todd. 'Sarah will be playing a mediator as part of Theo Silverton's acrimonious divorce from wife Danielle,' a source confirmed to The Sun. 'She's filming now and will be seen on screen later this year.' An ill wind: Poppyland, by D.J. Taylor, reviewed
As the term refers to the stretch of the north Norfolk coastline between Sheringham and Mundesley, only one of the stories in D.J. Taylor's engrossing new collection strictly takes place in 'Poppyland'. However, the others seldom stray far. In 'At Mr McAllister's', one of two stories set in and around Norwich market, the feckless employee of a down-at-heel toyshop decides to change his life, starting with talking to the pretty girl on the fruit and vegetable stall. In 'Those Big Houses up Newmarket Road', set nearby, social embarrassment inspires a class-conscious schoolboy to dream big. Such ambitions are unusual in these carefully worked stories of broken homes and precarious employment. 'In the Land of Grey and Pink' has Jasmine, a single mother, taking steps to becoming an interior designer when she realises that 'she did not know what she wanted, or, when it came to it – and this was the truly terrible thing – if she wanted anything at all'. Likewise, the odd-job man in 'Over at Bacton' seems quite content to sell rabbits out the back of his van. But then, no one is encouraging their ambitions. In 'Moving On', which follows with cool factuality the lives of an ordinary Norwich couple over several decades, we see rents go up, social housing stocks dwindle and wages stagnate, so that it becomes as much as they can do merely to survive. The future does not look bright for their son, who wants to design videogames. Taylor sweetens the pill here, and throughout, with his sharp sense of humour. In 'Yare Valley Mud', two long-in-the-tooth minicab drivers tolerate the reforms of their new boss, 'safe in the knowledge that it would all blow over and that normal standards of torpor would soon reassert themselves'.

Coronation Street star making a comeback to the show 15 years after being killed off – but WON'T be seen on screen
CORONATION Street star Reece Dinsdale is making an epic comeback to the cobbles - 15 years after he was killed off. Reece has directed tonight's and Friday's episodes. Taking to his X account, he wrote: "Tonight's episodes of Coronation Street (and both of Friday's) are directed by yours truly. Loved every second of making them. Hope you enjoy, too!" Reece confirmed that the episodes were filmed around six to eight weeks ago. In the comment section, Reece admitted he "loves" being a director on the show as fans shared their excitement ahead of the installments. In April, Reece revealed he was making a return to the beloved soap. He revealed he recently directed four episodes that month. Reece is no stranger to directing Coronation Street and has made eight episodes since 2022. He has also directed 42 episodes of Emmerdale since 2020, and helmed episodes of shows such as Pitching In, Moving On, and Secrets and Words. Coronation Street's Colson Smith reveals the moment soap boss 'binned him' from show and says 'I knew it was coming' The actor's gig behind the camera comes after he was forced to defend his career prospects when he left Emmerdale. In 2024, Reece announced he would be taking a break from directing the soap following the death of his mother. He told fans: 'Following the death of my Ma (& moving house), at 64 I've taken a decision to have some time out from work. Many months in fact. I've never done that consciously. 'I've stuff lined up down the line, so I know that's easy for me to say. However, I'm loving every bloody second of it!'
