Brandy & Monica Announce ‘The Boy Is Mine' Co-Headlining Tour With Kelly Rowland, Muni Long & Jamal Roberts: All the Dates

Actually, the boy is theirs. Nearly 30 years after they topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 weeks with their timeless duet 'The Boy Is Mine,' Brandy and Monica are teaming up for their first-ever co-headlining tour. As announced Tuesday (June 24), Brandy and Monica will launch their co-headlining The Boy Is Mine Tour on Oct. 16 at Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati. The 24-city trek will visit arenas in major U.S. cities including Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York before concluding Dec. 7 at the Toyota Center in Houston. Long dropped her fourth studio album, Revenge, last summer (Aug. 30, 2024), and Roberts recently notched a No. 1 debut on Hot Gospel Songs just weeks before tributing Kirk Franklin at the 2025 BET Awards. Earlier this month, Rowland was announced as The Voice UK's newest coach. 'This really is a full-circle moment,' Brandy, who landed at No. 41 on the Billboard staff's 75 Best R&B Singers of All Time list, said in a press release. 'Monica and I coming together again isn't just about the music — it's about honoring where we came from and how far we've both come. 'The Boy Is Mine' was a defining chapter in R&B, and to share the stage all these years later is bigger than a reunion — it's a celebration of growth, sisterhood, and the love our fans have given us from day one.' The R&B icons, who reunited on 2012's 'It All Belongs to Me,' announced their new tour with a cinematic short film helmed by filmmaker and production designer Ethan Tobman, who has worked with the likes of Beyoncé, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. Set in a maximum sound asylum, the tour trailer finds Brandy and Monica using their powerful and 'forbidden' harmonies to break free. 'The love that 'The Boy Is Mine' continues to receive means everything to me,' Monica said in a press release. 'This tour is a celebration of our history, our impact, and the fans who have grown with us. Brandy and I have been on our own unique journeys, and coming back together in this way is a reminder of the power of respect, strength, and real music. We're giving the people what they've been asking for, and doing it with grace, love, and purpose. God's timing perfectly aligned us.' Last year, Brandy and Monica earned their 13th and fifth Grammy nominations, respectively, thanks to their featured turn on Grande's 'The Boy Is Mine' remix. Named after their duet, Grande's Eternal Sunshine single reached No. 16 on the Hot 100 and soundtracked a Catwoman-inspired music video featuring cameos from all three ladies, as well as You actor Penn Badgley. Mariah Carey's $75,000-a-month rented Connecticut estate now for sale at $12.4 million

A Connecticut mansion rented by Mariah Carey for nearly two years is now available for purchase. The 56-year-old music artist — who was spotted out in London last week — splashed out $75,000 a month for the 18,000 sq ft property, built in 1929, beginning in July 2023. The New Canaan estate, which Carey once featured in a music video, has hit the real estate market for $12.4 million, according to Mansion Global. Listing agent Danielle Malloy told the outlet, 'The quality and scale of this home are like no other.' It boasts a four-bedroom guesthouse, wellness center with a gym, yoga studio, bar and lounge, sauna and massage room. Carey reportedly worked on parts of her forthcoming 16th album, unofficially called MC16, at the palatial residence. A Connecticut mansion rented by Mariah Carey for nearly two years is now available for purchase; pictured June 15 And a May 2024 social media video shows the singer on the grounds of the estate as she delivers her contribution to Muni Long's Made for Me remix. In its nearly 100 years, the home has only had four owners including Carlos Hank Gonzalez, a Mexico City mayor. In the 80s he contributed the nine-ft-tall, 1,500ft-long brick and limestone wall at the front. Then, in the 1990s, the structure underwent $8 million in renovations that included a 10,000 sq ft expansion where a new kitchen, outdoor courtyard and great room were designed, per Mansion Global. 'You can see New York City on a clear day,' Malloy told the publication of its 35 ft ceilings, two-story windows, mezzanine level and turret. The listing says the great room was inspired by the 1999 film Entrapment, starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones. In the movie the actor and actress rehearse their choreography for an art heist in Castle Duart, situated on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. The latest homeowners scooped up the fanciful mansion in 2014 for $6.5 million before investing the equivalent in renovations over three years. Known as Orchards End, the homeowners enlisted architect Dinyar Wadia to execute their vision. In addition to modernizing it, 'They wanted to preserve the integrity of the home,' Malloy said. The original design was by New York architect William B. Tubby, whose repertoire included Waveny House in New Canaan, Dunnellen Hall in Greenwich, Connecticut, and the William H. Childs House in Brooklyn, Mansion Global noted. Tubby incorporated 'a slate roof, a mix of hardwood, marble and limestone floors, high ceilings, detailed millwork and plasterwork, iron-framed windows, moldings and baseboards, wide and tall doorways, and built-ins.' The first-floor rooms in the listing consist of an entry parlor, library, a game room, plus the great room. There is also a kitchen complete with a marble island and heated marble floors, a dining room with murals painted by hand, a gallery foyer, butler's pantry and a conservatory with a terrace. Meanwhile, the home's second floor is where potential buyers will find an office and eight bedrooms. On the third level there is another game room, while the basement level is designated for media and wine rooms. In total, the sprawling property offers 20,000 sq ft of indoor space — tallying the main and guest house. There are a whopping 12 bedrooms, 12 full bathrooms and four half baths. On the 6.26-acre lot there is a heated pool and spa and the wellness center is 5,000 sq ft. There's a four-car garage, sports court, balcony, central vacuum, various terraces, a home theater, 12 fireplaces, a wine cellar and fountains. About the neighborhood, Malloy confirmed, 'Oenoke is one of the most coveted and prestigious roads in New Canaan.'

Muni Long's controversial take on black women: a response that shook TikTok

Singer-songwriter Muni Long faces backlash after claiming only Black women dislike her personality. Image: Instagram American singer and songwriter Muni Long (real name Priscilla Renea Hamilton) recently found herself at the centre of controversy after making comments that only black women disliked her personality. In a video that circulated online, Long said, 'It's only ever black women that say they don't like my personality. Because I'm being myself, I'm acting just like your raggedy mama and your aunties, but it's something wrong with my personality? Take a look in the mirror, you don't like you.' The fan, who goes by 'NeverStopWithShari' on TikTok, pointed out that black women were instrumental in making her hit song 'Hrs & Hrs' popular and that they have consistently shown her love and support. 'Muni Long was on her live today and let it be known that it's only black women that don't like her. I think it was only black women that supported you too, nobody liked 'Hours and Hours' and all these songs until we liked it,' said Shari in a response video on TikTok. The fan expressed disappointment in the 36-year-old singer's comments, feeling that she was bashing the same women who helped her gain the recognition she has today. The fan's message took a more aggressive tone, warning Long to 'watch what she says' about black women, implying potential consequences if she did not comply. Long took to her TikTok, making it crystal clear that she is not the one to be messed with. The Grammy-award winning artist responded directly to the fan in her video, since she was not able to stitch the original video posted by the phone, questioning the tone and potential threat behind the fan's words. She asked for clarification on what would happen if she did not 'watch' her words, emphasising that she is a grown woman who will not be spoken to in that tone. She asked: 'The first question that I have for you, Ms Shari is … you said 'you better watch what you say' or what?" Additionally, she asserted her maturity and boundaries, stating that she may look young, but will not tolerate disrespect. The exchange highlights a heated debate between Long and a fan, with issues of loyalty, gratitude, and public perception at the forefront. 'I know I look young because I drink water and mind my business, but I'm 36 years old. I'll be 37 in September, I've been grown and taking care of myself for a long time, nobody will talk to me like that,' she added. so muni long just woke up one day and decided to turn on her core audience… — sucka (@suckaworld) May 27, 2025 The controversy has sparked a wider conversation among fans, with many black women expressing offence at the singer's comments. Some have taken to social media to express their frustrations, with a few even saying they will stop streaming her music. ' I can delete her music ASAP, cuz excuse ME?!?!' said TikTok user @Jaguar Mills. Another user, @Coffee, commented: 'Oops, music deleted. Blocked on Spotify.' 'Well, respect goes both ways. Let's not act like middle-aged black women are not haters that raised haters. If you're not one of those black women, why are you offended? Obviously, she's talking to the ones that play in her face,' said TikTok user Virgovibes. It is worth noting that before she was known by her stage name, she had been in the music industry for years, working behind the scenes as a songwriter for notable artists like Rihanna, Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey before launching her own singing career.
