BJP celebrates 9yrs of Khandu govt

1 2 Itanagar: Arunachal BJP on Thursday celebrated nine years of governance under CM Pema Khandu , marking what party leaders described as a 'golden era of development' in the state. The commemorative event, held at the BJP head office here, was attended by a host of dignitaries, including MLAs, party office bearers, senior leaders, and newly appointed chairpersons and vice-chairpersons. Speaking on the occasion, BJP chief spokesperson and Roing MLA Mutchu Mithi hailed the leadership of both CM Khandu and deputy CM Chowna Mein, calling their partnership a defining chapter in the state's political history. "This golden period of governance has brought Arunachal Pradesh to new heights of progress," he said. He attributed the transformation of the state to the visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi, noting that Arunachal is no longer seen merely as a strategic border state but as a symbol of peace and development. Highlighting key achievements, Mithi pointed to the sanctioning of the Arunachal Frontier Highway as a milestone and cited a substantial increase in the state budget—from Rs 9,000 crore in 2014 to Rs 39,000 crore in 2024 — as evidence of economic growth.
