Nellore Bara Shaheed Dargah to get Rs five crore facelift
NELLORE: Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Minister Ponguru Narayana has directed officials to make grand arrangements for the upcoming Roti festival at the renowned Bara Shaheed Dargah in Nellore. The festival is set to begin on July 6, and preparations were reviewed at a high-level meeting held on Sunday at SR Sankaran Hall in the Collectorate. Narayana highlighted the historical significance of Bara Shaheed Dargah, and revealed that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has sanctioned Rs 5 crore specifically for the development of the dargah. 'Using these funds, we will construct a large prayer hall that can accommodate 20,000 devotees at once,' he said, adding that the project will be taken up under the supervision of NUDA (Nellore Urban Development Authority). He instructed municipal officials to coordinate with the Joint Collector to ensure all required arrangements for devotees are completed on time. Narayana expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in painting works at key urban locations. The Maud Minister directed officials to complete all painting works in the city within 45 days. Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy appreciated Narayana's efforts in securing Rs 5 crore for the Dargah's development. He revealed that under the leadership of State Waqf Board Chairman Abdul Aziz, the prayer hall design has been finalised and construction will soon begin. NUDA Chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy assured that the tender process will be completed soon.

NTR brought recognition to Telugu people
Nellore: The district administration has celebrated the birth anniversary of legendary actor and former CM of united Andhra Pradesh NT Rama Rao in a grand manner on Wednesday. A meeting was conducted at SR Sankaran Hall in the premises the Nellore Collectorate, in which several TDP and BJP leaders participated. District Collector O Anand, Joint Collector K Karthik, NUDA Chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy, former Udayagiri TDP MLA Kambham Vijayaramireddy, BJP senior leader and APSRTC Zonal Chairman Sannapureddy Suresh Reddy, and others have garlanded the portrait of NTR and paid floral tributes. Recalling his association with NTR, Kambam Vijayarami Reddy has said that NTR was responsible for the construction of Somasila, Telugu Ganga, Kandaleru projects, facilitating farmers to do agriculture operations after having around 150 tmcfts of water in the three reservoirs. NTR was also responsible for introducing Social Security Pensions (SSP) in the State, he added. NIDA Chairman Srinivasulu Reddy said that due to the introduction of several welfare schemes including KG rice @ Rs 2, scores of poor were benefited. Describing NTR as a legendary film actor and remarkable political personality, RTC Zonal Chairman S Suresh Reddy has praised that it was NTR, who highlighted the self-respect of Telugus by establishing TDP in 1983. On this occasion, Collector Anand has facilitated artistes, who showcased their talent in different fields.

Stone laid for Rs 12-crore flatted factory complex in Andhra Pradesh
NELLORE: Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Ponguru Narayana on Saturday laid the foundation stone for a flatted factory complex at the APIIC MSME Park near Bhagat Singh Colony. The G+2 industrial facility, being developed at a cost of Rs 12 crore, aims to support small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) and generate employment opportunities. Addressing the gathering, Minister Narayana said the NDA government is committed to industrial development across all 175 constituencies in the state. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's vision is to nurture entrepreneurship in every household, he said, adding that comprehensive incentives will be provided to aspiring industrialists. The flatted factory complex, the first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh, will house 26 industrial units. Spread across 2.4 acres, the G+2 building will have seven units on the ground floor, nine on the first floor, and 10 on the second floor. Each unit will have access to essential infrastructure, including water, power, and transport facilities. Minister Narayana emphasised that the project will particularly focus on empowering underprivileged women, enabling them to become successful entrepreneurs. NUDA Chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy, RTC Zonal Chairman Sannapureddy Suresh Reddy, and other officials were present.
