Housefull 5 box office collection worldwide: Akshay Kumar's film joins Rs 200 crore club in India, crosses Rs 300 crore globally

Housefull 5 box office collection worldwide: Akshay Kumar's comedy caper, the fifth instalment of his much-loved comedy franchise, has entered the Rs 200 crore club at India box office and crossed Rs 300 crore worldwide, at per the makers. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film was directed by Tarun Mansukhani and released on July 6. It opened to mixed reviews but that has not dented its box office collection. The movie has become Akshay Kumar's highest grossing film after Covid-19 pandemic. It has surpassed the lifetime collection of Sooryavanshi, which had a worldwide gross collection of Rs 294.91 crore. Housefull 5 has also beat his 2025 releases, including, Kesari Chapter 2 (Rs 145.73 crore) and Sky Force (Rs 174.21 crore). Other Akshay Kumar films that are already in the Rs 200 crore club are Mission Mangal (Rs 202.98 crore), and Good Newwz (Rs 205.14 crore). According to the makers, the week-wise box office collection of Housefull 5 was Rs 133.58 crore in its first week, Rs 43.51 crore in week two, Rs 16.30 crore in week three, and Rs 6.85 crore in the fourth week, till Monday. The movie's collection has been dipping slowly day by day, as it is facing tough competition from other new releases, including, Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, Kajol's Maa, and Brad Pitt starrer F1. An excerpt of SCREEN's Housefull 5 review read, 'All I know that the bird has a bigger speaking part than some of the ladies, but what can you do, there are so many characters, the writers must have had a hard time handing out an equal number of lines to each. But then they must have thought, oh, they're all birds, so that's okay. I have to say that compared to the previous Housefulls, this one has a slightly fuller house, but because no one expects anything else, it's pretty much like the older ones– characters tumbling over each other, crass jokes about body parts and fluids (how can they not be there) abound, and yes, there's that classic climactic human chain, where the entire cast is yelling and screaming and shouting and…' Besides Akshay Kumar, Housefull 5's ensemble star cast also includes Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandes, Chunky Panday, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Ranjeet, Fardeen Khan, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangada Singh, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Johny Lever, Nikitin Dheer, and Soundarya Sharma.

Despite getting mixed reviews, the comedy extravaganza has managed to hold steady at the box office since its release. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the fifth instalment in the Housefull franchise crossed the coveted Rs 100 crore in its first week. The film has maintained a good streak even in its second week; however, it has witnessed a dip in the third week. The film opened strong, raking in Rs 127.25 crore in its first week. Now, the domestic net collection of the film has reached approximately Rs 180.68 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. While Housefull 5 continues to maintain pace at the box office, it is believed that the movie will lose more screen count and collections with this weekend's movie releases, MAA, F1 and Kannappa. Housefull 5, helmed by Tarun Mansukhani, boasts one of Bollywood's largest ensemble casts in recent years. The comedy-thriller, which was released in cinemas on June 6, brought together some of the heavyweights of Bollywood. The film featured franchise regulars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan, along with new additions Sanjay Dutt, Shreyas Talpade, Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangada Singh, Chunky Pandey, Soundarya Sharma, Nargis Fakhri and Johnny Lever. But here's the catch: there are not one but three Jollys on board and each of their girlfriends is a prime suspect in the crime. Apart from having a star-studded cast and being one of the biggest comedy films of the year, Housefull 5 has piqued audiences' interest with an unexpected twist – two different endings. Depending on the show's time and location, viewers had the option to watch either Housefull 5A or Housefull 5B, with each offering a unique ending to the storyline. First Published:
