Award-winning ITV drama confirms next series will be the last in blow set to leave fans ‘in tears' - and filming for the final episode has already kicked off
ITV has announced that one of their hit series will be coming to an end after its third season. First airing in 2022, The Dry follows the life and family of Shiv Sheridan (Roisin Gallagher), a woman recovering from alcoholism who returns home to Dublin after 10 unsuccessful years as an artist in London. Shiv, 35, is faced with moving back in with her family, all of whom are big drinkers, and are skeptical of her decision to go 'dry'. The series is the brainchild of Irish writer Nancy Harris, who was inspired to write a series that would reconnect her with her Irish identity. She was supported in production by similarly Dublin-born director Paddy Breathnach, who has directed every single episode. The show was initially broadcast on RTÉ One, but was moved to ITV for the second season after its huge popularity. 'Relatable, dark, despicable, yet abundantly human characters. The dry has everything you want from a dramedy and it's full of Irish craic.' Wrote one reviewer on IMDB. 'Shiv and her fellow Sheridan clan are a fantastic Portrayal of ordinary Vs extraordinary and how trauma can creep up on us. This series had me roaring with laughter and crying real tears. Can't wait to see more.' But the Irish comedy-drama will come to an end after the release of the third season, Harris has confirmed, in a statement reflecting on the show. 'It has been a true joy to see audiences embrace the Sheridan family in all their dysfunctional glory' she said. 'I am so grateful to have gotten to tell this story over three seasons.' 'The third and final season aims to go deeper than ever before, really getting under the skin of Shiv and the family in a way that we hope is both surprising, funny and (painfully) honest,' she concluded. Achieving an impressive 94% Rotten Tomatoes score, The Dry has been praised for its authenticity, humour and intelligence. Filming is currently underway for the third and final season of the show, which is scheduled to premiere in 2026. The new season will see the return of the original cast, IFTA nominee Siobhán Cullen (Caroline), Adam Richardson (Ant), Oscar nominee Ciarán Hinds(Tom), Pom Boyd(Bernie), Moe Dunford(Jack)and Eoin Duffy(Rory). Season 3 is said to unearth a huge secret that changes the course of destiny for the Sheridans. But will their fragile family infrastructure shatter under the impact, or become stronger and more durable? 'It's going to be a wild ride' says Nancy Harris, 'and we can't wait to share it with our audience.'

Charlotte Pain Management Center Celebrates Over 25 Years of Providing Relief
06/19/2025, Port Charlotte, Florida // PRODIGY: Feature Story // Charlotte Pain Management Center, known for its commitment to personalized pain treatment, celebrates over 25 years of delivering compassionate care and clinical excellence in Southwest Florida. Established in 1997, it has become a cornerstone of hope and healing for those dealing with chronic pain. Dedicated to restoring quality of life, it combines medical expertise, innovation, and patient advocacy. 'It's difficult to put into words what this milestone means to us,' says Nancy Harris, RN, founder and CEO of Charlotte Pain Management Center. 'Personally, this clinic isn't just a business. It's a calling. I grew up believing you help people whether you know them or not, and that principle has guided everything we do here. After so many years, to still be here and still making a difference, we're beyond grateful. Our patients trust us with some of the hardest parts of their lives, and that trust means everything to us.' Charlotte Pain Management Center was founded on the belief that no one should have to live in persistent pain without access to meaningful relief. Catering to patients suffering from nerve pain, neuropathy, bone and joint issues, and complex chronic conditions, the clinic offers interventional and non-interventional treatment plans that are as individualized as the patients themselves. The center employs a whole-patient approach that blends cutting-edge and compassionate care. This is evident in its services, from spinal cord stimulation and radiofrequency ablation to advanced joint and nerve block injections. The team at Charlotte Pain Management Center includes experienced physicians, medical professionals, and behavioral health specialists who collaborate to address the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of pain. Besides its team of experts, the clinic is also known for its commitment to accessibility. It works with patients who may lack insurance or resources, ensuring that no one is turned away without options. 'Where others might only offer one-size-fits-all procedures, we build sustainable and personalized care paths,' Harris says. That reputation for providing relief where others couldn't have helped solidified the clinic as a vital resource in the region. However, it's worth noting that it took grit and resilience for Charlotte Pain Management Center to establish itself in the field. The founder began her career managing home health services and medical practices, where she witnessed firsthand the gap in long-term, effective pain care. Her vision to create a more humane and more effective approach led to the founding of the center. Unfortunately, the founder faced some monumental challenges within her personal life. Yet, even during the darkest times, Harris never considered closing the doors. Her connection to her patients and the knowledge that many had nowhere else to turn drove her to push forward. 'I couldn't let them down,' she recalls. 'We're often the last stop. Shutting down wasn't an option.' Emerging from that period with renewed focus, Harris revitalized the clinic. She hired a new physician who brought fresh capabilities and advanced techniques to the team, reestablished essential services like cancer pain treatment, and invested in the latest technologies, including state-of-the-art C-arm imaging equipment. The center expanded its programs to include comprehensive neuropathy protocols and innovative, lesser-known modalities. The outcome was a rebirth both in operations and in mission. As it celebrates over 25 years of serving the community, Charlotte Pain Management Center remains committed to staying at the forefront of the medical field. Harris remarks: 'Technology and treatments will continue to advance, but our priority will always be to deliver patient-centered care.' ITV issues huge update on popular comedy series and it will delight fans
ITV and RTÉ have announced that the third and concluding series of the critically-acclaimed comedy drama The Dry has begun production in Dublin. The beloved show, penned by BAFTA-nominee Nancy Harris and directed by film maestro Paddy Breathnach, is now shooting its ultimate chapters. Róisín Gallagher is set to return as Shiv Sheridan, a woman striving for sobriety, and this season introduces a fresh face. Following the tense finale of the second series where Shiv tried to keep her chaotic family intact and saw her former partner leave for Melbourne alone, the story twines further. In the fresh episodes, Shiv crosses paths with Daryl, a charismatic yet enigmatic Aussie, portrayed by Rick Donald, who soon becomes intensely involved with her, appearing unexpectedly in her support circle. Alongside these developments, series three welcomes back familiar faces such as Siobhán Cullen as Caroline, Adam John Richardson as Ant, veteran Ciarán Hinds as Tom, Pom Boyd as Bernie, Moe Dunford as Jack and Eoin Duffy as Rory, reports Belfast Live. A tantalizing preview suggests: "The Sheridans are about to face their biggest challenge yet; a long-held family secret that throws everyone off kilter. "The family desperately try to forge new lives amidst the betrayals of the past but destructive patterns start to emerge. Soon it's Shiv, who might not want to face some hard truths, realising there's only so long she can blame her family, the bad men in her life and even the drink: what if the real problem is just... herself?" Nancy Harris, the creator and writer of the series, expressed her delight at the audience's reception: "It has been a true joy to see audiences embrace the Sheridan family in all their dysfunctional glory and I am so grateful to have gotten to tell this story over three seasons." She also teased what to expect from the upcoming season: "The third and final season aims to go deeper than ever before, really getting under the skin of Shiv and the family in a way that we hope is both surprising, funny and (painfully) honest." Nana Hughes, ITV's Head of Scripted Comedy, shared her excitement about the show's return: "ITV are absolutely thrilled to be part of the team alongside RTÉ and Element Pictures for the third and final series of The Dry. "Nancy Harris' scripts will make you laugh and may well make you cry.... I did both just reading the scripts. Nancy's award winning writing delivers more of the chaotic mess that is the Sheridan family. I can't wait to see what Paddy and the cast will bring to the finale of this wonderful show." Kate McColgan from Screen Ireland also commented on the new season: "Screen Ireland is delighted to support Element Picture's new season of The Dry in association with ITVX and RTÉ. "Nancy Harris's work represents the very best of Irish screen writing; it is beautifully observed with a real emotional integrity and is of course very funny. We congratulate Element Pictures for bringing together such an impressive ensemble of Irish creative talent both in front of and behind the camera." The Dry series one and two is available to stream now.
