Undocumented foreign man held over drug trafficking in Lahad Datu
LAHAD DATU: A Filipino man was arrested on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking in Kampung Pisang, Jalan Bakawali, here, yesterday (June 30). The 30-year-old was arrested by the Lahad Datu police headquarters' Narcotics Division during Op Tapis about 10.30pm. District deputy police chief Superintendent Jimmy Panyau said checks on the suspect led to the seizure of ketamine and ecstasy pills worth nearly RM18,000. "The haul included 13.12g of ketamine worth RM2,624 and 89.63g of ecstasy pills worth RM14,900. "Also seized were RM537 in cash and a mobile phone," he said today (July 01). Jimmy said the suspect did not possess any valid identification documents. The case is being investigated under Section 39B and Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

Arrests made after pursuit into Russell County
A Somerset man and a Monticello woman were arrested following a high-speed pursuit that led to the discovery of a quantity of illegal substances. According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, on June 9, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m., deputies were notified of a Chevrolet Equinox that had fled from a Somerset Police Department traffic stop. Shortly after notification, Deputy Noah Dishman observed a vehicle matching the description traveling on Bourbon Road at a high rate of speed. Dishman turned around to attempt to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle, but prior to catching up to the vehicle he observed it travel through the intersection of Bourbon Road and Ky. 914 without stopping at the stop sign, and nearly travel into the ditch, according to the sheriff's office. Dep. Dishman again attempted to initiate a traffic stop on Ky. 914, but the vehicle continued westbound to the intersection of W. Ky. 80. After turning onto West Ky. 80, deputies observed the vehicle increase speed as it continued westbound to Ky. 196, according to the sheriff's office. The vehicle was eventually stopped on Ky. 196 in Russell County. After stopping the vehicle, deputies with both Pulaski and Russell counties ordered the driver out of the car and identified him as Kisean Cowan, 18, Somerset, Ky. A passenger in the vehicle was also ordered to exit, and was identified as Harlie Gibson, 18, Monticello, Ky. Detectives with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division were called to the scene of the stop, where K-9 Leo performed an open air search around the vehicle. After a positive indication of the presence of controlled substance, deputies located a black magnetic box with a quantity of drug paraphernalia, white crystal like substances believed to be methamphetamine, marijuana and digital scales, according to the sheriff's office. Cowan was arrested from the scene and charged with Speeding 26 mph or Greater; First-Degree Fleeing or Evading Police (Motor Vehicle); Disregarding Stop Sign; two counts of Disregarding Traffic Controlled Device-Traffic Light; First-Degree Traffic in Controlled Substance, First Offense, Greater than or Equal to to 2 grams (Methamphetamine); Trafficking in Marijuana, First Offense; Drug Paraphernalia-Buy/Possess; Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence of Controlled Substance, First Offense; and No Operators/Moped License. Gibson was arrested at the scene and charged with Drug Paraphernalia-Buy/Possess and Public Intoxication Controlled Substance. Both Cowan and Gibson were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center without further incident. The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Russell County Sheriff's Office. 2 arrested after meth, guns, cash, found in major drug bust in Livingston Parish
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Two people were arrested after Livingston Parish deputies found multiple illegal substances, guns and cash during a drug bust. According to Sheriff Jason Ard, the investigation began after the Narcotics Division received an anonymous tip that Jametheron Tate, 39, also known as 'GEE,' was distributing methamphetamine in the Denham Springs area while living on Colonial Drive. They found a large amount of drugs and other illegal items in the house. Items seized include: Approximately 63 grams of fentanyl powder. Approximately 16.2 grams of methamphetamine. Tate was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on multiple charges: Sale, possession, or distribution of legend drugs with a secured personal surety bond set at $500. Possession of drug paraphernalia with a $500 bond. Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I controlled dangerous substances with a $50,000 bond. Possession with intent to distribute Schedule II controlled dangerous substances with a $100,000 bond. Possession of a firearm in the presence of controlled dangerous substances. Paisley Fobb, 36, who was reportedly connected to the ongoing investigation, was also arrested. Authorities said the investigation remains open. Somerset deputies arrest man accused of getting into car with backpack holding drugs
SOMERSET, Ky. (FOX 56) — A drug investigation on Thursday led to a Somerset man being accused of having a backpack that contained methamphetamine, marijuana, and pills during a search on Tuesday. According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, it all started with the Narcotics Division on Tuesday, April 28, at a local Red Roof Inn. Authorities following Coomer noted the vehicle he was a passenger in had a 'verify proof' status for its insurance. Detectives saw that the vehicle was going faster than the posted speed limit, so they pulled it over. Court documents show that deputies asked the driver to search the vehicle, which the driver consented to. Law enforcement found a backpack that allegedly belonged to Coomer, holding 107.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, a hydrocodone tablet, digital scales, baggies, and a glass smoking pipe. He allegedly had $463 in his front pocket. Coomer was arrested and charged with: Trafficking in greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine Possession of drug paraphernalia Possession of marijuana Possession of an unspecified controlled substance He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond. Alto couple arrested for large amounts of drugs, guns, and cash in home
The Brief Jonathan Clayton Burrell of Cornelia and Kateland Elaine Heffner of Cleveland were arrested on Feb. 11 during a search warrant execution at a home on Kitchens Road in Alto. Authorities confiscated large amounts of marijuana, THC concentrates, edibles, two firearms, and cash. Both suspects face multiple felony charges and remain in custody at the Habersham County Detention Center. HABERSHAM COUNTY, Ga. - A two-week investigation into illegal drug activity in Habersham County resulted in the arrest of two suspects, the seizure of drugs, firearms, cash, and two vehicles, and an ongoing effort to combat narcotics distribution in the area. What we know The Habersham County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division, along with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office and Special Operations Unit, executed a search warrant at 550 Kitchens Road in Alto on Tuesday. During the search, deputies seized a large quantity of marijuana, THC vapes, gummies, edibles, and concentrates, along with two firearms and cash. As a result, Burrell and Heffner were arrested and booked at the Habersham County Detention Center in Clarkesville.
