In-state running back commits to Tennessee
Tennessee received a rugby commitment from a 2025 high school football prospect. Brock Haywood committed to the Vols after playing running back and linebacker at Nashville Christian School in Nashville, Tennessee. "Speed, power, vision, Brock Haywood is making the switch and bringing his playmaker mentality to Tennessee rugby," Tennessee announced. "From Friday nights under the lights to battles on the pitch, welcome to Rocky Top, Brock!" Advertisement Nashville Christian won a Tennessee Division II-A state championship in 2024. The Vols will kick off their 2025 rugby season Aug. 30 with two matches at Tennessee Rugby Park. Tennessee will face Kentucky reserves (11:30 a.m. EDT) and Queens University (3 p.m. EDT). Tennessee will also host Ohio State, Georgia and South Carolina, while playing at Appalachian State, Clemson and Alabama during the 2025 regular season. The top QB in the 2026 recruiting class has decided on his college home. Jared Curtis announced he would be headed to Georgia next year.
