Unspeakable Sins ending explained: Who killed Claudio, and what happened to Ivan and Helena in the finale of the Mexican erotic thriller?
Unspeakable Sins ending explained: Netflix's Unspeakable Sins throws you into a storm of secrets, power, and betrayal. The Spanish thriller follows Helena, a woman stuck in a marriage with Claudio, an abusive, dangerous businessman with connections to the elite. When she meets Ivan, a young escort, everything begins to spiral. From sex tapes to lies, blackmail to murder, the show doesn't hold back. By the end, viewers are left with a lot of questions. Who really killed Claudio? Were the tapes destroyed? What exactly was Ivan's role? And who's watching them in that final scene? If you're still thinking about it, you're not alone. Let's break it down. Unspeakable Sins recap: Helena, Ivan, and Claudio's dangerous game Helena is married to Claudio, but is completely controlled by him. He beats her, tracks her, and threatens to ruin her life. Out of desperation, she starts seeing Ivan, a sex worker, and the two fall for each other. But their relationship turns into a risky plan: record a sex tape to blackmail Claudio into leaving Helena. Ay Helena…PECADOS INCONFESABLES ya disponible en @NetflixLAT Of course, it doesn't go that smoothly. Claudio disappears, and Helena becomes the prime suspect. Ivan, too, finds himself pulled deeper into the mess. The show slowly reveals that Claudio was part of a network of secret sex parties, using hidden cameras to blackmail other powerful men, like politicians, businessmen, and police officials. Once Claudio disappears, everyone wants those tapes. Unspeakable Sins ending explained: Who killed Claudio? At first, we thought Claudio's dead. But he's alive and hiding, still scheming, still dangerous. He resurfaces just when you least expect him, and suddenly, the threats begin again. Helena and Ivan are once again in trouble. In episode 7, Claudio finally ends up dead. But this time, it's real. For most of the final episode, it seems like Ivan may have killed him. He was at the scene, and evidence is slowly piling up. Helena herself starts to wonder if Ivan could have done it without telling her, but that's not what happened. In a late flashback, we see the real story. It was Helena who murdered Claudio. Last night I watched the first ep of #UnspeakableSins on @NetflixUK. A woman flees her abusive hubby, then spends 13 Thursdays getting back at him with a hot escort but it unravels when they go on a cinema date. AI title? Could have been Unimaginable Evil/Beyond Wickedness! 6/10 She waits for the right moment, sneaks into Claudio's home while he's asleep, and deletes the backups of the sex tapes from his hidden drive. She wears gloves, moves quietly, and stabs him. It's not just murder, it's freedom. Claudio had manipulated her, threatened her life, and kept her trapped for years. This time, Helena took control. She tells no one. Ivan finds out when he returns later and discovers Claudio's body. At first, he's shocked, but he understands later on. Claudio wasn't just a problem for Helena; he had threatened Ivan's son, too. Ivan helps her cover it up. He burns his clothes, cleans the scene, and keeps quiet. The police believe Claudio's death was an internal betrayal or revenge for blackmail. Nobody suspects Helena, and with Claudio finally gone, Helena and Ivan can finally breathe, or so it seems. What happened to the sex tapes in the Unspeakable Sins? The sex tapes were Claudio's weapon, footage from his secret sex parties used to control powerful men. Helena deletes most of them before killing him, but not all are gone. Earlier in the season, we see a press conference where some of the tapes are leaked, including one of Helena and Ivan. While this tape forces Helena to publicly admit to her affair, it helps her image; people see her as a victim of Claudio's abuse. Still, the question remains: how many tapes are left? Were copies made? Did someone else get access? This takes us to the biggest twist. What happened in the final scene of Unspeakable Sins? In the last scene, Helena and Ivan are in Los Angeles, far away from the mess. They look relaxed, finally at peace. But just before the credits roll, a new camera feed appears, and someone is watching them. We don't know who it is. It could be someone from Claudio's inner circle. Maybe Rafael, the lawyer who helped clean up Claudio's crimes or Octavio, who knew about the tapes or even someone else who was blackmailed and wants revenge. It's a reminder that even though Claudio is dead, the mess he left behind isn't gone. The tapes, the secrets, the network, it could all come back. Will Unspeakable Sins get a second season? The ending of Unspeakable Sins gives closure, but not comfort. Claudio is dead. Helena and Ivan are free, but there's a camera watching. A past that could return? It's a warning, sins don't stay buried. Helena got her justice, but she also crossed a line. Ivan stood by her, but now they both carry that secret. And whoever is behind that new camera? They could be the next danger. So, is it really over? Probably not. And Netflix may just be setting up for a second season.

Netflix now streaming World War 2 film 'more captivating than Dunkirk'
Gary Oldman won an Oscar for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour, with viewers now able to stream the critically-acclaimed biopic on Netflix A fresh arrival on Netflix UK is Darkest Hour, the World War 2 drama wherein Gary Oldman delivers an Oscar-winning portrayal of Winston Churchill. Previously taken off the platform, Netflix users can watch the Oscar-winning picture again as of July 2025. Helmed by Joe Wright, who directed the wartime romance Atonement, the story unfolds during one crucial month where Churchill considers negotiating peace with Hitler or continuing the fight. The wartime drama garnered nominations across the Academy Awards, BAFTAs, Golden Globes, and beyond. The movie boasts an 84% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The critics' consensus states: "Darkest Hour is held together by Gary Oldman's electrifying performance, which brings Winston Churchill to life even when the movie's narrative falters." Acclaim for Oldman's turn was virtually unanimous, though critics were divided about the merits of the overall film. As The New Yorker put it: "How badly we need another Winston Churchill film is open to question. Nonetheless, Joe Wright's contribution to the genre is welcome, largely because of Gary Oldman in the leading role." "It's an amazing performance: the only star turn I've seen in which a famous actor visible in nearly every scene would be unrecognisable if we didn't know his name already," said The Financial Times. However, Metro praised Wright for bringing his "trademark flashes of visual aplomb" as a director, observing: "[He] captures the peril of Nazi invasion with thrilling immediacy, despite being almost entirely confined to the claustrophobic corridors of power." Reviewers also drew parallels with Dunkirk, with the Radio Times' Damon Wise calling Darkest Hour a "near-perfect companion piece" to that film. Darkest Hour plot summary The World War 2 drama focuses on a brief but pivotal moment in British history. Beginning in May 1940, the story opens as Neville Chamberlain is compelled to step down as prime minister. Churchill, unpopular even with fellow Conservatives, assumes the role of PM whilst Nazi troops push westward. Facing pressure to broker a peace deal with Germany, Churchill confronts a cabinet poised for mutiny. Despite this, Churchill launches Operation Dynamo, also known as the Dunkirk evacuation . The film concludes with Oldman delivering Churchill's iconic 'We shall fight on the beaches' address to the House of Commons that galvanised public support for the conflict. What audiences think of the film Darkest Hour boasts an 82% 'fresh' rating with Rotten Tomatoes vieweres. One person commented: "The film has it's flaws, but Gary Oldman is phenomenal in this." A Google user was moved to write: "Darkest Hour is so well crafted on a whole movie level start to finish and so well acted and again I got teared up a couple times last night after seeing DH again finally and that to me is a movie doing its job being powerful as it is!". The top Letterboxd review, with 800 likes, joked: "I want a cage match with Joe Wright and Tom Hooper [director of The King's Speech]." Drawing comparisons to Dunkirk, another said: "An electric chamber piece that couldn't more perfectly complement 'Dunkirk' if Christopher Nolan wrote it, 'Darkest Hour' is as rousing and ferocious as Winston Churchill was himself.' Meanwhile, over on the MoviePassClub subreddit, a cinema buff admitted: "I definitely enjoyed Darkest Hour more than Dunkirk, as Dunkirk did not make us care about any of its characters, other than wondering what the writers or director thought killing off the youngster in the boat accomplished for their story. Anyhow, a whole lot more context in the Churchill story than in the Dunkirk movie."

When Will Season 2 Of '1923' Air On Netflix?
Three years ago, the prequel to Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone, 1923, was released into the world but due to the eight-part series only being available to watch on Paramount+, fans who didn't have a subscription weren't able to catch up on the latest of the Dutton-verse. Thankfully, as of July 9, the series has started streaming on Netflix UK, meaning that viewers who were previously unable to watch the show will now finally be able to see how the Dutton family have progressed since the series, 1883. At the helm of the family this time is patriarch Jacob Dutton (Harrison Ford) and matriarch Cara Dutton (Helen Mirren) as they fight to preserve their legacy and Montanan ranch amid the introduction of the Prohibition era, drought and the fast-approaching Great Depression. If you're anything like us and have already binged the entire series, you'll know that the struggles that they've been facing with Spencer, Jack, Liz and Alex in tow are only set to worsen - as was the case in the second series which premiered on Paramount + on February 23, 2025. Currently, what what is probably an even bigger concern to fans is when season two will finally start streaming on Netflix UK. Official statements regarding the release are yet to be made, however, looking to past releases may serve as an indicator. 1883 first premiered on Paramount+ on December 19, 2021, and Netflix started showing it on March 12, 2025. Similarly, 1923 aired on December 19, 2022 and was available to watch on Netflix earlier this year. Unfortunately, if Netflix's release of 1923 season two is set to resemble this sequence, early 2028 is likely to be its earliest premiere date on the streaming giant. New Netflix action movie branded 'tedious' by critics but fans demand sequel
Netflix's latest action blockbuster, The Old Guard 2, has shot to the top of the UK streaming charts, despite receiving a critical drubbing—and a whole lot of divided opinions online. While reviewers have slammed the sequel as 'tedious,' fans are flooding social media to demand a third film. Currently sitting at number one on Netflix UK, The Old Guard 2 has clearly found its audience. In a surprising twist, its 2020 predecessor, The Old Guard, has also surged back into popularity, claiming the number five spot on the platform—a clear sign that viewers are revisiting the original to keep up with the story. But not everyone is thrilled. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your show in the link we'll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you. On Reddit, viewers are hotly debating whether the sequel lives up to the first film. One disgruntled user, @acow552, didn't hold back: 'Sadly, I'm sure there will be a third. By not writing an ending to the second, they are basically holding Netflix hostage to make a third, because everyone will riot if there isn't. Personally, I hope there isn't. They shouldn't be rewarded for that piece of garbage they call a movie.' Despite the backlash, the sequel's cliffhanger ending has left many fans eager, even desperate, for more. 'I will be so upset if they do not make another one,' wrote @r/netflix. Especially after the ending of the second movie left us hanging like that. They better be giving us a third one or I will quit Netflix for good.' Others were equally frustrated by the sequel's lack of resolution, but grudgingly admitted they'd still tune in if a third instalment gets the green light. 'Yes, the sequel was absolutely terrible,' said @missbrenee. 'They could've at least wrapped it up completely or just left the first movie alone. And if there is a part three, we know we'll have to wait a year and a half for it with the way Netflix operates.' Still, not all the commentary has been negative. While critics have largely dismissed the film as underwhelming, audiences around the globe are proving otherwise with their viewing habits. Both The Old Guard and its sequel are currently in Australia's top 10, with the second film sitting firmly at number one, according to @collectionnumber7412 on Reddit. 'I don't understand where people are getting the 'bad rating' from,' they added, pointing to the movie's strong performance in international markets. There's also the undeniable curiosity factor. Whether out of genuine enjoyment or a need for closure, many fans admit that even if they hated the second film, they're still on the hook for the third. 'Everyone saying they didn't like the second one knows deep down they will watch the third one regardless,' joked @delicious-smell435, summing up the collective mood of Netflix's action-loving fanbase. The Old Guard 2 continues the story of a covert group of immortal mercenaries, led by Charlize Theron's stoic warrior, Andy. Based on the comic book series by Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernández, the original film was praised for its gritty action and fresh take on the superhero genre. The sequel, however, has struggled to strike the same chord with critics – many of whom have taken issue with its pacing and lack of character development. Yet with millions streaming it worldwide, and a fanbase loudly calling for resolution after that cliffhanger ending, it's clear that Netflix may already have its answer. More Trending Whether you loved it, hated it, or just want to see what happens next, one thing's for sure: The Old Guard saga isn't over yet. Netflix has yet to officially confirm a third film, but judging by the heated demand – and the fear of subscription cancellations – the streamer might not want to test viewers' patience much longer. Until then, fans will just have to keep refreshing their Netflix homepage and arguing on Reddit. The Old Guard 2 is now streaming on Netflix. Got a story? Netflix is quietly adding ‘tearjerking' fan favourite
Film lovers, mark your calendars as a perfect story of love and loss is set to be added to Netflix next month. We Live In Time is finally finding its home on Netflix UK on July 5, but warning, prepare for all the feels. It's a film that will make you laugh and cry, but most importantly, it teaches the audience that time is precious, following themes of grief in such a beautiful way that connects with so many watching. Starring the Hollywood dream team, Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh, We Live in Time will take you on a bittersweet journey through years of love, heartbreak, and enforcing the age-old message that life is a ticking time bomb. It follows the decade‑long, non-linear journey of Almut Brühl (Pugh), an ambitious chef, and Tobias Durand (Garfield), a marketing exec for Weetabix, as their relationship weaves through love, family, illness and everything in between. Hopeless romantics will need to grab the tissues as the film cleverly explores the life cycle of a relationship, cutting between timelines, past and present snapshots of a couple's story show how their love weathers recovery, birth and death. Directed by John Crowley, the film was released earlier this year and had cinema-goers sobbing and blubbering throughout the beautiful time-hopping story. Reviews say 'this broken timeline approach is part puzzle, part emotional puzzle – and more often than not, it works', while it was also echoed that the structure mostly avoids confusion thanks to cues like pregnancy bump and baby Ella's presence. In our four-star Metro review, Tori Brazier wrote that 'it is a wholesome and touching portrayal of a relationship acted out by two of the UK's biggest stars right now. And it's the perfect movie for when you want to sit in your feelings and be taken on an unashamedly emotional journey.' Still, not everyone bought in. The Telegraph described it as 'calamitous' and argued that some emotional impact is lost when you see outcomes before knowing their back stories. Viewers praised the film for how 'intimate' it felt – 'like watching a real couple in their private moments instead of watching a movie couple sharing big romantic gestures,' wrote @meb6x on Reddit. Another fan, @literary_bonna, described the box office hit as 'a classic 'wish you were them' love story'. More Trending With a 79% Rotten Tomatoes score, critics have labelled the film as a 'powerful melodrama'. If you did end up spending your weekly budget on the cinema trip (obviously you had to get that Tango ice blast), then you will be delighted to know that you can watch this firm fan fave again and again and again when it lands on Netflix next week. Whether you want to pretend you have something in your eye or you just need to weep on the sofa, We Live In Time is guaranteed to take you on an emotional rollercoaster, so buckle up! We Live in Time is available on Netflix on Saturday July 5. Got a story? If you've got a celebrity story, video or pictures get in touch with the entertainment team by emailing us celebtips@ calling 020 3615 2145 or by visiting our Submit Stuff page – we'd love to hear from you.
