Tame Impala Keep Dancing On Lead Single From New LP

As expected, Tame Impala is teasing a new album with the release of the seven-minute dance track 'End of Summer,' which is out now in tandem with a Julian Klincewicz-directed video. The song stems from the Kevin Parker-led group's debut for Columbia after several albums for Interscope, which as of yet has no release date. 'End of Summer' is said to 'recast Tame Impala as a kind of future primitive rave act. The track harkens back to the acid house summer of '89, to free parties of the mid-90s, to bush doofs in outback paddocks – to an imagined history, transmuted into something simultaneously present and eternal, still unmistakably Tame Impala.' Parker previously debuted 'End of Summer' last month during a Barcelona DJ set, and sources tell SPIN that planning is well underway for a fresh round of touring with a completely redesigned stage show in the months to come. Parker will be back on the DJ decks for three early December shows in Australia opening for Justice, with whom he collaborated on the French electronic duo's hit 2024 album, Hyperdrama.
