To get married, man fakes being TTE; arrestedfor duping
Varanasi: To fulfill condition laid by his family to find a job before getting married, a man from Madhya Pradesh convinced them that he had been appointed as a railway travel ticket examiner by showing them a forged identity card and a lanyard with the mark of Indian Railways he had bought for Rs 350.

Following this, his marriage with a girl from Sasaram, Bihar was solemnised
In a joint action by govt railway police Varanasi Junction (Cantt) and railway protection force, the imposter, Adarsh Jaiswal (25) from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, was arrested on Friday evening.
Inspector Rajoul Nagar of GRP said on Saturday that the joint team of GRP and RPF caught Jaiswal near foot overbridge of platform-1 of Varanasi Junction and recovered from him a fake identity card of a TTE, along with a smartphone, Northern Railway Tatkal ticket booking form and Rs 570 cash.
Posing as a travel ticket examiner, he had been selling fake travel tickets and extorting money from passengers travelling without ticket at railway stations between Varanasi and Gaya.
He came on the radar of GRP and RPF after he sold two fake sleeper class tickets to a woman recently.
When she arrived to board the train, it came to light that no such compartment was attached to it and she filed a complaint.
Railway police started searching for him. Three days back, when he sold another fake ticket to a person, the latter checked its PNR and alerted govt railway police.
Following these developments, apart from GRP and railway protection force, Central Bureau of Investigation personnel too swung into action and arrested him on Friday evening.
