The AirPods 4 with ANC just hit their lowest price ever — but this is the way better Prime Day deal

With Prime Day now in full swing, the deals are really getting going. That means some great low prices on some of our favorite products. In fact, a great price just landed on Apple's ANC variant of the AirPods 4 for the lowest price ever. The AirPods 4 with ANC are now just $119 at Amazon after a $60 discount. That's the largest savings we've ever seen. Yet still, I believe there are better options out there for slightly less in the Prime Day sales. The AirPods 4 with ANC just recieved their lowest price ever in the Prime Day sale. If you're not a fan of silicone eartips, then these might just be your best ANC-flavored option. They sound okay, and the ANC is surprisingly effective — it led them to a 4.5-star review, after all. This $60 saving is the biggest we've ever seen. I can understand why so many want to buy the AirPods 4, especially the ANC variant. Not everyone likes the invasive eartip fitment of most earbuds, and the ANC model means they get the best of both worlds. A less 'forward' fit and noise blocking. But the AirPods 4, in my mind at least, are compromised in some key areas. Battery life is a particular hangup of mine, with the buds only lasting around 4 hours with ANC enabled. They don't sound amazing either, and there are definitely better-sounding options for a similar price or less. If you opt for an alternative, you'll miss the Apple ecosystem interoperability (which remains seamless) and the ever-popular AirPods aesthetic, but you'll get a significantly better pair of buds in the process. The CF-710N are some of our favorite affordable earbuds, not least because of their excellent transparent blue colorway. They sound excellent, and their ANC is much better than what you'll find on the AirPods 4. This deal price brings them down to their lowest ever price as well. Take Sony's WF-C710N, for example. They sound much better, and offer much longer battery life. They're proper in-ears with silicone tips, but that just makes the ANC even stronger. The WF-C710N are now just $78 in the Prime Day sales at Amazon — nearly $50 less than the AirPods. Or you could spend even less and nab yourself Nothing Ear (a). They sound better, and there's ChatGPT integration for the AI nerds out there. The Nothing Ear (a) are also down to $69 at Amazon for a Prime day treat. Look, if you're dead set on AirPods then the AirPods 4 with ANC are going to be just fine. But you could do so much better. There are plenty more deals to be had this Prime Day — make sure you check out our Prime Day live blog to make sure you're staying on top of all the latest sales and offers.

Huge Nothing Prime Day sale — save big on all the sleekest Nothing and CMF earbuds

With Prime Day finally underway, we're keeping watch on all the best deals you can snag on speakers, headphones, and earbuds. Amazon is home to a slew of steep discounts, and Nothing's gadgets are seeing some of their lowest prices to date. This includes even its cheaper sub-brand, called CMF. I've scoured Amazon to find all the best Prime Day audio deals you can find across these two brands, wrangling the Nothing Ear (open) at just $99 and the CMF Buds 2a for $28, among others. Unfortunately, the brand new Nothing Headphone (1) isn't yet slashed, so you'll have to check back here later in the year when those finally go on sale. For now, we've just included all the best Prime Day Nothing earbuds deals below. These brand-new buds bring hybrid ANC built on a 12.4mm dynamic driver, offering incredible bass and impeccable noise canceling for those who need to escape the world. You can also scoop these up in a variety of different colors, including silver, orange, and black. The CMF Buds Pro 2 brings a sleek smart dial to the charging case, letting you switch different audio profiles to suit your listening needs. It also offers 43 hours of charge and has spatial audio built into the design, making movies and shows feel even more immersive. The cheaper model of Nothing's new earbuds lineup brings several exciting enhancements to the fray, the main among them ChatGPT built into them. Unlike the Nothing Ear, these models also come with a special yellow colorway, and offer a deep equalizer to fine-tune the audio to your liking. Nothing's premium Ear bring some of its best features to its smallest design. With LDAC and LHDC support, the Nothing Ear offers a wide array of codecs for improved audio quality across devices, plus a powerful custom driver, ensuring you get incredible audio from the outset. ChatGPT integrated into the buds also means you're just one button press away from any answer to all the questions you might have in mind. These are my favorite earbuds for running, offering tons of control on an open design. These are built with two mics, so calls will come in perfectly. Additionally, they don't stick deeply into your ears, allowing you to remain alert to your surroundings while working out. As with most Nothing earbuds, you can also expect a ChatGPT integration, so if you ever get lost on a run, you'll be able to find your way home.

Forget the AirPods Max 2 — I'm more excited about the Nothing Headphone (1)

Nothing just launched its brand new pair of aptly-named Headphone (1), and it's already rocketed up to my most exciting over-ear audio designs to date. While other popular audio makers boast improved performance and more features, there's something about the Nothing Headphone (1) that has me totally entranced. It's not just its design, but also the AI features the Headphone (1) brings to the table. With the Nothing Ear (open) being my go-to running buds, this should come as no surprise. After tackling the best wireless earbuds, Nothing has set its sights on the over-ear headphones realm — and its Headphone (1) could push the market to new heights. Despite some serious competition from Sony, Bose, and Apple, here are all the ways the Headphone (1) are my most anticipated audio tech of the year. Nothing has a particular look and style to its products. From earbuds to even some of the best cheap phones, you'll know when you're looking at a Nothing design as it typically adds a touch of transparency, mirroring my atomic purple GameBoy from 1999. Boy, do I miss it. While Nothing didn't go with any colorful hues like Nintendo, its Headphone (1) will be available in either white or black — and both have their own spectacular chic to them. As with most of its products, you can see into the back of the headphone cups, which are built around a square design. This largely steers away from other headphones you'll see in the tech world. The big change is the square look, which might not be as appealing for some at first glance. I find it totally interesting. They don't look like headphones — they look more like cyberpunk earcups for citizens living on Mars. These are the type of headphones people will stop to ask, "What are those?" and that speaks volumes to Nothing's way of thinking when it comes to style. I do wish Nothing introduced a bit more to them, specifically the glyph design as seen on Nothing's phone lineup. This would set them in a realm far apart from their rivals (I personally don't know of many other premium headphones with flashing lights on them). But I could see this being a bit too flashy for some buyers. Overall, I really like how Nothing sets itself apart from the rest here. Where most headphones tend to look mostly the same, sharing that oval shape and mostly identical colors, the Nothing Headphone (1) is a breath of fresh air. It says a lot that Nothing isn't afraid to go against the grain. A big part of my infatuation with Nothing audio products is its ChatGPT integration. Say what you will about AI no sooner ruling our lives, but having that extra bit of knowledge at my fingertips — or, more accurately, earlobes — is a pleasant feature few others provide. ChatGPT can be used in a variety of ways beyond simply providing you with the answers to questions you don't already know. Last year, I tried Nothing Ear with ChatGPT and was impressed, largely by the ways it could give me specific directions around my neighborhood and do things for me on the fly, like searching for flights to Japan. Speaking of Japan, I'm currently learning Japanese and it's a pretty tough language to get down. ChatGPT has helped in a variety of ways, including understanding the right context to some sentences (casual versus formal) and pronunciations, one of the hardest bits to nail properly. I can already see the potential for this when travelling through hotspots like Akihabara, Kyoto, and Kobe. Using ChatGPT built right into my headphones to alleviate the language barrier is just an added bonus on top of all the cool features the Nothing Headphone (1) already offer. And while I definitely like the integration's potential on the Nothing Ear, I tend to enjoy headphones more. That's why I can't wait to revisit this neat concept once we get the Headphone (1) in for testing. There's undoubtedly a slew of competitors Nothing is coming up against. The biggest roadblock is the newly launched Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones, which we gave a respectable four out of five stars in our official review. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra are another major rival to the Nothing Headphone (1), offering some of the best noise cancelling you can buy in tandem with its own sleek design ethos set across a variety of colorways. Despite their features and performance, both the Sony XM6 and Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones cost $450, making them quite the investment. That's why Nothing's new pair of headphones act as yet another apt stand-in for some of our favorite brands. At just $299, the Nothing Headphone (1) could give some of the current best headphones on the market real competition beyond just style points. With 80 hours of playback and sound 'acoustically engineered' by KEF, these could have some serious legs in the market. Of course, you could always wait for the Apple AirPods Max 2. But if those aren't set to release until 2026 and cost even more than the $549 Apple charged for its original set, my money's on Nothing's new headphones.
