Liam Gallagher's 'stern warning' to fans and set times ahead of Edinburgh Oasis gigs
The Oasis reunion tour kicks off in Cardiff on Friday, July 4, and the famed brothers are playing three nights at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium in August. Liam Gallagher has revealed the set times for the first show of the Oasis reunion tour, alongside a stern warning to gig goers. Liam urged fans in Cardiff to show up on time or risk missing the show. The Oasis frontman said on X: "OASIS on stage 8.15pm Cardiff don't be late or we'll start without you and you don't want that now do ya see ya there LG x." The Mirror revealed support acts Cast will perform at 6pm, with Ashcroft taking to the stage at 7pm. Some fans however, weren't impressed with the announcement, thinking the show was kicking off too early in the evening. One fan wrote: "That's a bit early Liam." Another said: "8:15 is early but I'm NOT complaining." Liam cheekily hit back: "I think it's late if it was up to me we'd be having it at 5am. Don't blame me I do the singing and scowling." A third fan asked the star: "What ya walking out too ? Will you say the first word or will Noel?" to which Liam joked in reply: "Bad boys wham." When one fan innocently asked: "Is it the same for Murrayfield LG? Happy Saturday," Liam got a bit of backlash from fans when he posted: "I've been asked to share this information with you all I'm not doing this every f***ing gig I'm not the TM." One fan said: "Oh don't be aggressive it was a little question." Another wrote: "OKAY DON'T GET MAD AT US NOW URE THE ONE WHO TOLD US WE DIDN'T EVEN ASK." A third pointed out: "YOU'RE THE ONE THAT RANDOMLY SAID THIS DON'T BLAME US." When a fourth fan joked: "You're the band scheduler now?" Liam replied: "Looks like it." The music legends will take to the stage together for the first time in 16 years next month for their huge Oasis Live '25 tour. It comes as famously feuding brothers Liam and Noel agreed on a truce to get the band back together last year. After years of estrangement, the brothers left fans in a state of disbelief when they announced their sensational return – almost 15 years to the day of their split in August 2009. Their first comeback gig will be at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on July 4. This will be followed by a string of homecoming gigs in their native Manchester at Heaton Park and London's Wembley Stadium. They then play Edinburgh and Dublin before turning it into a world tour with dates in Chicago, Mexico, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney and Sao Paulo. And those who weren't quick enough to nab Oasis tickets the first time round will be given another chance to nab one - as the band confirmed this week that more tickets will be released very soon. Speaking out in a statement on their social media accounts, Oasis wrote: "As the shows are getting closer, Oasis promoters may be able to release a very limited number of additional tickets for sale once final sight lines are checked and the production is fine tuned." It added: "These final production releases will happen over the coming days." Ahead of the Cardiff show, Noel shared: "We finished rehearsing last Tuesday. We've got a few days off now and it's sounding huge, so we're all, well this is it, there's no going back now. It's good." Speaking to Talksport he was asked if he would be at Glastonbury this week. Noel joked: "I might have a look at it on the iPlayer, yeah, but everyone was saying 'are you coming?' I was like, 'I think it's probably best if I sit it out this year as I've got something going on next weekend.'" Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Liam recently opened up to reveal what his one major regret about the band was. A fan asked him on social media: "How does it feel singing songs with ur brother again? Like old times?" Liam responded: "You know what it's spiritual, but I can't help think about all those wasted years, what a waste of PRECIOUS time." But will this reunion tour be their last, or can fans expect to see the brothers again?

Scam warning as festival season gets underway
Festival and gig-goers are being warned to be cautious when purchasing tickets as a summer of events gets underway, with demand for gigs making it a prime time for scams to take place. Concert season is well and truly underway with Zach Bryan playing three sold out nights at Phoenix Park over the weekend and Olivia Rodrigo at Marlay Park on Tuesday. There is plenty more to come with OASIS' two nights at Croke Park in August and Lana Del Rey and Dua Lipa among the acts taking to the stage for Irish fans before that. Festival and gig-goers are being warned to be cautious when purchasing tickets as a summer of events gets underway, with demand for gigs making it a prime time for scams to take place. Pic: Electric Picnic also takes place in late August with Fatboy Slim, Chappell Roan and Kings of Leon some of the acts headlining the three-day festival. With plenty of festivals and gigs to look forward to and fans eager to get their hands on sold-out tickets, Ticketmaster have urged music fans to be alert when purchasing tickets. The demand for gigs means its a prime opportunity for fraudsters to catch unsuspecting fans out with Ticketmaster advising people to avoid social media resellers and unofficial platforms and buy 'only from official channels.' They said: 'The most reliable way to secure genuine tickets is through an event's official ticketing agent or venue. Fans should always refer to the artist's official website, where approved ticket providers are listed.' Unfortunately, cunning scammers are now able to replicate websites to make it appear to be legitimate, with anyone purchasing tickets for events reminded to check the URL to ensure you are definitely on the official website. Mobile tickets are a better option as scammers can sell duplicates of the same printed ticket, whereas Ticketmaster's mobile tickets use a dynamic barcode which refreshes every 15 seconds to prevent fraud.
