Mark Brooke, managing director of Proper Pubs, said: "Our pubs sit at the heart of their local communities and are constantly going above and beyond for customers and residents, from charity fundraising to hosting brilliant entertainment, so it's only right that we acknowledge these incredible achievements. "Our operators are the face of Proper Pubs and we are so proud of all the work they do day in and day out. "I'd like to extend my thanks to all our pubs and to congratulate every single operator for all their incredible hard work. "On behalf of myself and the whole team at Proper Pubs, I'd like to wish the very best of luck to all the finalists and I look forward to celebrating with them next month." The awards ceremony will take place in Chesterfield on July 31, and will include nine categories, such as Best New Proper Pub of the Year, Marketing and Social Media Pub of the Year, and Gaming Pub of the Year. Finalists were nominated by their business development managers for exceptional service to their communities, and one venue will be named the overall 'Proper Pubs' Pub of the Year. Proper Pubs, a division of Admiral Taverns, was named Community Pub Operator at the Publican Awards in March 2024. The group recently collected more than 20,000 Easter eggs for donation to communities in need and raised nearly £100,000 in three months for UK charities.

Despite the delay, the ceremony, which was filmed earlier this week, kicked off with It comes after Coronation Street were brutally snubbed at the awards as they failed to pick up any of the previously announced awards at this year's ceremony. Most read in News TV Coronation Street and Emmerdale humiliated at British Soap Awards as rival soap wins EIGHT gongs But it was bad news for Coronation Street as the programme suffered a devastating loss after managing to bag just the specially curated Outstanding Achievement Award which went to Roy Cropper star The show failed to secure wins in any of the main panel or viewer-voted categories amid ITV's ongoing cash crisis and Its ITV counterpart Emmerdale also faced a crushing blow ahead of the impending ITV schedule changes which will see BBC rival EastEnders swept the board after collecting a total of eight gongs in its 40th anniversary year - more than double its nearest rival, Channel 4's Hollyoaks who got three awards. EastEnders was awarded Best Soap after its huge live episode and anniversary week which saw It was certainly not the only award that they picked up with actress Lacey Turner receiving the trophy for Best Leading Performer ahead of her impending exit from the show. The 40th anniversary also managed to clutch the Scene of the Year thanks to Angie's shock return. Steve McFadden a won a trophy for Best Dramatic Performance as Phil Mitchell but did not attend the ceremony with Angela Wynter and Rudolph Walker also receiving prizes as Patrick and Yolande - beating Corrie fan favourites Lisa Swain and Carla Connor, affectionately known as Swarla, to the Best On-Screen Partnership award. The Walford based soap also collected the Comedy Performance gongs and Villain of the Year. Emmerdale managed just two awards with Amelia Flanagan beating her Corrie star brother Will to the Best Young Performer prize. Mike Plant, one of the show's camera operators, picked up the prestigious off-screen Tony Warren Award accolade for his contributions to the soap behind the scenes. ITV's crushing defeats come amid a period of unrest backstage at the shows. Both Corrie and Emmerdale have lost a number of stars over the past 12 months amid cuts at the channel. In particular, Coronation Street has faced increasing criticism of its far-fetched storylines and dwindling viewer interest in many of its plots. 5 Patsy Palmer was awarded Best Comedy Performance for her role as Bianca Jackson Credit: Getty 5 Roy Cropper star David Neilson picked up the Outstanding Achievement Award Credit: Getty

Susanna Reid wows in teal midi dress shoppers can get for under £30

Designed with a flattering tie waist, flutter sleeves and midi length, the dress is perfect for everything from weddings to the office Susanna Reid is best known for her sophisticated and feminine style - and one of her recent Good Morning Britain outfits is no exception. The 54-year-old wowed viewers this week when she stepped out in a stunning teal midi dress, and now shoppers can pick it up for under £30 in the sale. The mum-of-three wore a lovely Teal Tie Waist Midi Dress from Principles, which is available at Debenhams. Originally £55, it's currently down to £33 in the sale. However, fans can use the code EXTRA15 at the checkout, which takes the total down to £28.05. The elegant dress is made from a 'comfortable' woven fabric which boasts slight stretch, ideal for all day wear. The tie waist detail is 'flattering', creating a defined silhouette, while the flutter sleeves both add interest while disguising the upper arm area. The pleated crew neckline adds texture to the frock, and fashion lovers will no doubt delight in the fact it has practical side pockets, which make it an ideal choice for weddings as they're great for stashing tissues, confetti or lipstick. The versatile midi length also makes it work-appropriate for the office, as well as any weekend events, too. Coming in sizes 10-20, it's not the most size inclusive piece, but FatFace has this Remi Dark Teal Linen Midi Dress for £72 in sizes 6-24 in two lengths. Meanwhile, Next has the Friends Like These Green Ruched Front ITY Midi Dress for £39, with teal seeming to be a popular shade this season. It's not the only one of Susanna's recent outfits that is on sale at the moment, either. Last month, the host scooped the Outstanding Achievement Award from MHP 30 To Watch. For the event Susanna wore LK Bennett's Altyn Shaped Seam Fitted Crepe Dress, which was just the right balance of formal and easy to wear. Susanna's LK Bennett dress is usually priced at £299, but it's currently on sale with £60 off, slashing the price to £239. Although she opted for the bold red shade, the Altyn Fitted Crepe Dress also comes in black, making it the perfect LBD. Elsewhere in daytime TV fashion, Cat Deeley returned to This Morning on Monday wearing Next's Black Hardware Detail Halter Top, priced at £39, paired with ME + EM's Ultra High Waist Wide-Leg Trouser, priced at £250. Standing in for her the previous week was Rochelle Humes who opted for a crisp white wrap shirt from ASOS (£32) and River Island's Blue Seam Detail Balloon Leg Jeans, which cost £49. But if it's Susanna's affordable and versatile teal dress you fancy getting your hands on, shoppers can snap it up here.
