Susanna Reid wows in teal midi dress shoppers can get for under £30

Daily Mirror03-06-2025
Designed with a flattering tie waist, flutter sleeves and midi length, the dress is perfect for everything from weddings to the office
Susanna Reid is best known for her sophisticated and feminine style - and one of her recent Good Morning Britain outfits is no exception. The 54-year-old wowed viewers this week when she stepped out in a stunning teal midi dress, and now shoppers can pick it up for under £30 in the sale.
The mum-of-three wore a lovely Teal Tie Waist Midi Dress from Principles, which is available at Debenhams. Originally £55, it's currently down to £33 in the sale. However, fans can use the code EXTRA15 at the checkout, which takes the total down to £28.05.
The elegant dress is made from a 'comfortable' woven fabric which boasts slight stretch, ideal for all day wear. The tie waist detail is 'flattering', creating a defined silhouette, while the flutter sleeves both add interest while disguising the upper arm area.
The pleated crew neckline adds texture to the frock, and fashion lovers will no doubt delight in the fact it has practical side pockets, which make it an ideal choice for weddings as they're great for stashing tissues, confetti or lipstick. The versatile midi length also makes it work-appropriate for the office, as well as any weekend events, too.
Coming in sizes 10-20, it's not the most size inclusive piece, but FatFace has this Remi Dark Teal Linen Midi Dress for £72 in sizes 6-24 in two lengths. Meanwhile, Next has the Friends Like These Green Ruched Front ITY Midi Dress for £39, with teal seeming to be a popular shade this season.
It's not the only one of Susanna's recent outfits that is on sale at the moment, either. Last month, the host scooped the Outstanding Achievement Award from MHP 30 To Watch. For the event Susanna wore LK Bennett's Altyn Shaped Seam Fitted Crepe Dress, which was just the right balance of formal and easy to wear.
Susanna's LK Bennett dress is usually priced at £299, but it's currently on sale with £60 off, slashing the price to £239. Although she opted for the bold red shade, the Altyn Fitted Crepe Dress also comes in black, making it the perfect LBD.
Elsewhere in daytime TV fashion, Cat Deeley returned to This Morning on Monday wearing Next's Black Hardware Detail Halter Top, priced at £39, paired with ME + EM's Ultra High Waist Wide-Leg Trouser, priced at £250. Standing in for her the previous week was Rochelle Humes who opted for a crisp white wrap shirt from ASOS (£32) and River Island's Blue Seam Detail Balloon Leg Jeans, which cost £49.
But if it's Susanna's affordable and versatile teal dress you fancy getting your hands on, shoppers can snap it up here.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor wants to ‘flip the script' regarding aging and pop music

Speaking on Friday's Good Morning Britain on ITV, the 46-year-old said she used to feel that she might not be able to continue in the pop music genre as she got older. Asked about where the idea for the title of her upcoming album Perimenopop, a play on the words perimenopause and pop, came from, she said: 'I can't think. 'It might be to do with the fact I'm in my mid-40s, but my girlfriends and I, we felt like all the algorithms have shifted towards what this chapter of our lives would bring and I find myself feeling really good in myself actually. 'I'm enjoying life, I'm surrounded by lovely people. 'I love what I do and I poured a lot of that joy and celebration of years of experience of what I do, I'm so proud of it actually, so I was like, flip the script, Perimenopop here we come.' PERIMENOPOP. My 8th studio album, she's on her way! Pre-order now via the link below 🥳 I'm throwing a special launch show at KoKo to celebrate – pre-order before next Tuesday 13th May for pre-sale access 💃 — Sophie Ellis-Bextor (@SophieEB) May 9, 2025 She continued: 'When I was younger, I felt like pop maybe would be something I'd do when I was younger, because it wouldn't be something I could expect to still do when I got older. 'I actually think a lot of my kids' generation don't care what age you are, they just want to have good music, but also, there's so much fun to be found in this chapter of my life and I love the fact that the years have piled up. 'I'm actually super into it. I like it.' Ellis-Bextor, who currently presents a weekly show on BBC Radio 2, began her career in 1996 and has gone on to have six UK top 10 singles and five UK top 10 albums. She is best known for songs Groovejet (If This Ain't Love) and Murder On The Dancefloor, with the latter seeing a resurgence in popularity after featuring in the 2023 film Saltburn. Perimenopop is due to be released on September 12.

Oasis fans who missed out on tickets can watch reunion action for free

Noel and Liam Gallagher are finally reuniting on stage after 16 years as their tour kicks off tonight in Cardiff - and even fans at home can get in on the rock action It's a big day for Oasis fans, with Noel and Liam Gallagher taking to the stage together after 16 years for the first stop on the band's highly-anticipated tour. However, those who couldn't get tickets shouldn't Look Back in Anger - you can get involved in the Champagne Supernova from the comfort of your own home. The BBC will be covering all things Oasis ahead of the band's gig at Cardiff's Principality Stadium tonight, covering the build-up to the big moment. Hosted by Jason Mohammad and Tina Daheley, the live stream will be speaking to fans across the city as well as special guests about the historic performance. ‌ ‌ The livestream will begin at 1pm and will only be available on BBC iPlayer - however, it won't feature any of the gig itself. We'll see the BBC team at the Principality Stadium deliver on-the-ground reports before the gig, while after, the livestream will continue as fans give live reviews and instant reactions. Oasis announced last August that they would be finally reuniting, with fans desperate to get their hands on tickets ever since. Over 74,000 fans will be descending on Cardiff tonight for the huge show - and the first fans have even had their tickets checked in what's become a 24-hour queue. One family revealed on Good Morning Britain today that they spent the equivalent of £22,000 to fly from California to Cardiff for tonight's show - and some viewers couldn't relate. "The old saying, 'a fool and his money are easily parted,' comes to mind," one said, while another wrote: "To the Yank that spent $30,000 for him and his family to see Oasis you are a mug!" Some ticket-holders have been camping out overnight at the Principality Stadium to grab a good spot by the stage - efforts noticed by Liam and Noel. Lorraine's Nick Dixon revealed on the ITV show that some fans were given upgraded tickets by the band after being spotted queueing up at the stadium. "Security rounded up the fans and moved them. We were at first wondering, 'I hope they're not being turfed out, they've got tickets,' but actually security told me that the band spotted them and they've been moved to a different area - a VIP area. They've had a massive upgrade on their tickets which is fantastic for them. They've left here deliriously happy."

Oasis fans given 'be very careful' warning as they gather ahead of first reunion show

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Ahead of Oasis's eagerly awaited reunion gig on Friday (July 4), fans have been urged to "be very careful". Music enthusiasts are flocking to Cardiff in their thousands as the Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, prepare to share the stage for the first time in 16 years. The band's much-anticipated world tour, spanning 41 dates, commences with performances at the Principality Stadium this weekend. Following this, they'll be heading to Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin for the UK and Ireland leg, before jetting off to international destinations including Canada, Los Angeles, Mexico, and Japan. The Gallagher brothers' last joint performance was back in 2009, and tickets for their latest tour sold out within hours of being announced last year, reflecting fans' eagerness to witness the reunion, reports Wales Online. Ahead of the reunion tour starting tonight, ITV Lorraine star Claer Barrett issued a warning to viewers about the rise in ticket scams. "There are last-minute ticket deals that are not deals, they're just scams," said host Ranvir Singh on Friday's show. Claer replied: "The message to get across is that social media and ticket sales are not a good look. There's lots of scams going on, the banks are all warning people to be wary of bot accounts on social media that don't have many followers but are following lots of people and offering tickets." (Image: ITV) She concluded: "The key message here is stick to the official ticket resale site. Be very careful." Good Morning Britain's Nick Dixon then appeared live from the Principality Stadium, where he shared an update on the arriving fans. "Some of the more passionate fans with tickets have been queuing up at different sections of the stadium since yesterday," he revealed. "Of course, they want to get in there as soon as the doors open at five o'clock and rush right to the stage." Oasis will be supported by indie rock band Cast and The Verve's Richard Ashcroft in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin. The tour is sold out, but the band has said that some additional tickets could be released. In an Instagram post last week (June 25), the band advised members of Oasismynet to "keep an eye" on their inbox. The final releases would come "over the coming days" once production was "fine tuned", they said. Sign up for the North Wales Live newsletter sent twice daily to your inbox Look for places near you
