Aston Villa midfielder a transfer option for Chelsea

Chelsea have included Morgan Rogers on a shortlist of potential transfer options this summer. The West Londoners want to bring in another versatile attacker before September's deadline and Rogers is a player under consideration. Chelsea concede prising the midfielder from Aston Villa would be difficult but Flashscore are reporting that the Blues are prepared to explore a deal. Advertisement Like Chelsea, Villa were fined for breaching UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules and could require a big sale before investment this summer. Rogers has emerged as one of the Premier League's best young talents since arriving at Villa Park from Middlesbrough in January 2024. The 22-year-old scored 14 goals and provided 15 assists across all competitions last season, form which has earned Rogers a role in the senior England squad. He has been nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year and is among the frontrunners for the prize, which will be announced next month. Given his key role in Unai Emery's plans, Villa would only entertain huge offers for the midfielder. Advertisement Rogers is not the only player Chelsea are considering, with West Ham's Mohammed Kudus, Lyon winger Malick Fofana and Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho also options. Foden and Maguire's huge off-pitch earnings despite Man City and Man Utd woes

Man City midfielder Foden, 25, is sitting on a £8m fortune while Harry Maguire's outfit was also valued at around £8m, including an impressive property portfolio England stars Phil Foden and Harry Maguire made millions from their image rights last year even as their teams endured miserable seasons on the pitch. Man City midfielder Foden, 25, is sitting on a £8m fortune while Maguire's outfit was also valued at around £8m, including an impressive property portfolio. Last year Foden earned around £67,000 a week thanks to his name and profile. That's on top of his reported £225,000 a week City wages. ‌ He is also sinking his cash into bricks and mortar. His company Rondog Sports Limited has £7.8m in cash and investments for 2024, up from £4.3m in 2023. It takes in cash from his earnings away from the pitch. ‌ Top players earn extra cash from the sale of merchandise like shirts that bear their 'name, nickname, slogan and signatures, image, likeness, voice, logos, get-ups, initials, team or squad number'. The nature of business for Maguire's firm HM5 was given as 'activites of patent and copyright agents'. Foden has a contract with City that stretches until 2027. He also has a lucrative boot deal with sportswear giant Nike. Harry Maguire 's HM5 Ltd has £8m in cash and assets for 2024, up from £6.4m. He earns a reported £10m a year at United and has sunk £5m of his riches into investment property. In 2022 , Foden won the PFA Young Player of the Year award. He was also the Premier League Young Player of the Season for the second consecutive year. He scored for City as they were knocked out of the World Club cup by Saudi Arabian side Al HIlal last night. Pep Guardiola's side had come through the group stages unscathed but failed to reach the quarter-finals losing 4-3. It was a disappointing exit for Foden. City were reigning world club champions. Maguire enjoyed a renaissance with United. He scored a late extra time winner for United in their 5-4 (agg 7-6) quarter final in their Europa League victory over Lyon. They went on to lose 1-0 to Spurs in the final. Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content. Liverpool complete signing of Bournemouth left-back Kerkez

PA Media/dpa London Liverpool have completed the £40 million ($54.9 million) signing of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez on a five-year contract. The 21-year-old is the club's third arrival this summer, following Jeremie Frimpong and club-record transfer Florian Wirtz. And with Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili joining next month in a deal done 12 months ago there will be more than £200 million of new talent present when pre-season training starts in a fortnight. Kerkez, who links up with fellow Hungary international Dominik Szoboszlai at Anfield, is viewed as the long-term successor to 31-year-old Andy Robertson, who is a target for Atletico Madrid. It is understood the club have no intention of forcing out the Scotland international, who started in 29 of his 33 Premier League appearances last season but is in the final year of his contract. Liverpool new boy Kerkez said: 'I'm really happy. It's a real honour for me, a privilege to come to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, (the) biggest club in England. I'm just really, really happy and excited. 'After this, I'll go home and in my hometown enjoy a few days, and then I can't really wait to come back and put the training kit on and start to train and prepare for the season.' Kerkez made 74 appearances for Bournemouth after joining from AZ Alkmaar two years ago and has been shortlisted for the 2024-25 PFA Young Player of the Year award. 'I just want to thank everyone for really showing me big love, even before it will be announced now,' the 23-cap Hungary international added. 'And keep supporting the team like you support always, because you're the biggest fan base in the world. 'I'm going to give everything - absolutely everything - to win trophies with the club and to hopefully score some goals at Anfield. I can't wait to hear the roar.'
