Indonesia's Pertamina seeks US$700 million loan to build vessels: sources
[JAKARTA] Indonesia's state-owned oil giant Pertamina and its shipping arm are seeking an offshore loan of about US$700 million for the construction of vessels, according to people familiar with the matter. Pertamina sent a request for proposals to banks for the loan in recent weeks, seeking a tenor of around ten years, the people said, who asked not to be named discussing private matters. The company and Pertamina International Shipping will be the borrowers of the proposed facility, they added. Discussions with lenders are preliminary and the deal's details could change, the people said. Pertamina International Shipping is seeking funds to support its fleet investment plan to strengthen its logistic services and boost business growth, said Muhammad Baron, PIS' company secretary to Bloomberg News when asked about the loan, without elaborating further. Indonesia's financial markets bounced back recently after a torrid few months, with global funds snapping up US$1.5 billion of government bonds in May, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The country's offshore syndicated loans also took off in recent weeks, potentially marking a comeback after a period of muted activity. Sovereign wealth fund Danantara recently sent a request for proposals to banks for a multicurrency borrowing of as much as US$10 billion, in what could be South-east Asia's largest loan. Meanwhile, Indonesia's Ministry of Finance is marketing a 252.8-million euro (S$379.2 million) facility, a rare instance of the government body tapping the syndicated market. The Pertamina loan comes as Indonesian authorities investigate a US$12 billion corruption probe involving the oil giant. In May, Indonesian authorities contacted a number of Singapore-based trading companies to request their cooperation, and executives from Pertamina subsidiaries were arrested in February. The volume of loans denominated in US dollars, euro and the Japanese yen – also known as G3 currencies – from Indonesia slumped 27 per cent to US$3.9 billion so far in 2025 versus the same period last year, according to Bloomberg-compiled data. Pertamina International Shipping last raised a US$185 million syndicated loan in February 2023. Meanwhile, the group's upstream unit Pertamina Hulu Energi last week signed a US$1.2 billion revolving credit facility. BLOOMBERG

PIS language will likely get converted to construction start, which would be a meaningful positive for First Solar (FSLR), Array Technologies (ARRY), Nextracker (NXT), Shoals Technologies (SHLS), and Sunrun (RUN), Roth notes. The firm also sees residential leasing denial for 48E will likely be removed, which would be a meaningful positive for Sunrun. 25D still appears to be low probability. This remains a meaningful negative for Enphase (ENPH) and a negative for SolarEdge (SEDG), says Roth. The firm sees current levels as food buying opportunities for much of its coverage universe, given potentially a meaningful shift back to the original House bill, which was considered 'much less worse than feared for the industry.' KSRTC buses to get real-time stop alerts, metro-like voice announcements
The audio system basically consists of speakers which will be installed within the buses to provide clear audio announcements. Digital displays will be installed at single or multiple locations inside the buses. They show real-time information, including current stop and next stop.'The PIS will provide real-time information to passengers about bus arrival/departure times, routes and stops. This will enhance passenger experience through accurate and timely information. We will also air the various public information released by government authorities through the system,' the official said. The licensee can play movie songs, movie scenes, and awareness messages in addition to advertisements, provided they have the acquired the rights for the same. At the same time, no political videos are allowed. The successful bidder can generate revenue through advertising via the PIS systems. However, the same should be displayed through the PIS screens at a low volume without affecting the comfort of the passengers and the attention of the driver. The operator is also required to provide technical and on-call support round the clock. Under the system, GPS devices will be fitted on the KSRTC fleet and connected to a central server. A separate tender will be rolled out to install PIS displays at all the main bus stations as well. The data from the central server will be sent to the PIS displays and a dedicated mobile app, 'Where is my KSRTC'.

BMRCL Orders Additional Trains for Pink Line with New Coaches Ahead of 2026 Launch
In 2023, BMRCL signed an agreement for 318 coaches (53 trains) for the Blue and Pink Lines. Of these, 96 coaches were designated for the Pink Line. To meet rising demand, BMRCL has now ordered seven additional trains. New Coach Features: Driverless technology with Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC). Stainless steel bodies for durability. Two air-conditioning systems per coach for better cooling. Modern interior designs for enhanced comfort. Advanced Passenger Information Systems (PIS) to keep riders updated. Platform Screen Door Systems (PSDS) for safety. LCD route maps and automatic doors for added convenience. The coaches will be manufactured at BEML's Metro Rail Shed in Bengaluru, boosting local infrastructure. Cost and Funding: Each coach costs ₹19.64 crore, lower than the previous ₹29.99 crore deal. The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is funding ₹3,177 crore for the project. These new coaches will ensure the Pink Line has the latest technology and enough trains for smooth operations when it opens in 2026.
