Thornhill cover Lady Gaga's 'Paparazzi' for Like A Version

Ever wanted to hear Lady Gaga's 'Paparazzi' with a face-melting breakdown? Thornhill has you covered. The Naarm/Melbourne band's big return to the Like A Version studio sees them taking the 2008 pop anthem deep into the pit, delivering a truly roaring take. "It was interesting to figure out where we wanted it to have a heavy moment," vocalist Jacob Charlton said. "But I think that came pretty naturally with some of the bridge work." Instead of making directly flipping the pop song into an "entirely heavy" cover, Thornhill let those immense breakdown riffs come organically. The end result is something we're ready to throw hands to in the pit. Check out more from Thornhill's return to the Like A Version studio below. Lady Gaga kicked off her ‘Mayhem Ball Tour.' What songs made the setlist?

Featured pricing is subject to change. The 'Mayhem Ball' has finally dropped. Four long months after releasing her seventh studio album 'Mayhem,' Lady Gaga launched her highly-anticipated North American arena tour at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena on Wednesday, July 16. Over five exquisitely-titled acts and an encore, Ms. Germanotta delivered 27 songs. They ran the gamut from chart-topping radio staples like 'Poker Face,' 'Paparazzi' and 'Just Dance' to her emotive, soul-baring duets 'Shallow' and 'Die With A Smile' to cuts from 'Mayhem,' according to Set List FM. When all was said and done, she closed the concert with the slinky party-starting singalong 'How Bad Do U Want Me.' 'Its ideas were as big as its presentation, and Gaga kept its focus with over-the-top theatrics and an even greater vision,' Variety raved in a review of the Sin City show. '…but at the heart of her performance was a parade of hits that served as the backbone of the Gaga experience, one that continuously elicited screams and chants from the attendees decked out in Gaga costumes.' Variety also noted that Gaga had surprisingly switched up the second half of her live show compared to what she'd staged in Singapore this past spring while warming up for the tour. 'There was no 'Blade of Grass' or 'Always Remember Us This Way,' as she'd sung in Singapore; instead, she folded in 'Applause' and 'Summerboy,' and swapped 'How Bad Do U Want Me' as the evening's closer. She sang a new rendition of 'Die With a Smile' at the lip of the stage on a piano; 'Shallow' had a fresh arrangement that offered a different texture to the melodramatic ballad.' If you'd like to see the shape-shifting, versatile 14-time Grammy winner put on her one-of-a-kind show live, tickets are available for all upcoming North American concerts (including her five at Madison Square Garden this August and September). For more information, our team has everything you need to know and more about Lady Gaga's 'Mayhem Ball Tour' below. Lady Gaga tour schedule 2025 A complete calendar including all North American (and some European) tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found below. Lady Gaga set list On Wednesday, July 16, Gaga played her first official 'Mayhem Ball Tour' concert at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Stadium. According to Set List FM, here's what she took to the stage. Act I: Of Velvet And Vice 01.) 'Bloody Mary' 02.) 'Abracadabra' 03.) 'Judas/Aura' 04.) 'Scheiße' 05.) 'Garden of Eden' 06.) 'Poker Face Act II: And She Fell Into A Gothic Dream 07.) 'Perfect Celebrity' 08.) 'Disease' 09.) 'Paparazzi' 10.) 'LoveGame' 11.) 'Alejandro' 12.) 'The Beast' Act III: The Beautiful Nightmare That Knows Her Name 13.) 'Killah' 14.) Zombieboy' 15.) 'LoveDrug' 16.) 'Applause' 17.) 'Just Dance' Act IV: Every Chessboard Has Two Queens 18.) 'Shadow of a Man' 19.) 'Kill for Love' 20.) 'Summerboy' 21.) 'Born This Way' 22.) 'Million Reasons' 23.) 'Shallow' 24.) 'Die With a Smile' 25.) 'Vanish Into You' Finale: Eternal Aria of the Monster Heart 26.) 'Bad Romance' Encore 27.) 'How Bad Do U Want Me' Lady Gaga new music On March 7, Lady Gaga dropped her seventh studio album 'Mayhem.' The energetic, maximalist dance pop record — which many rightly call a return to form — rarely takes a moment to breathe (save for the final two tracks, which veer into singalong ballad territory). Over its 53-minute runtime, Gaga goes hard providing her signature powerful vocals over shimmery synths, thumping percussion and the occasional epic guitar riff. And, yes, it's an absolute blast that we went gaga over. Standouts here include the anthemic, electro 'Disease,' disco jam 'Abracadabra,' creepy, hypnotic bop 'Killah,' glittery foot-stomper 'Zombieboy' and retro, New Wave-esque 'Don't Call Tonight.' Still, our top track has to be the lead single, Gaga's throwback 'Die With A Smile' duet with Bruno Mars. Sweeping yet intimate and thrillingly romantic, the heartfelt tune pairs perfectly as an upbeat counterpart to her similarlly swooning 'Shallow.' It's essential and we'd bet will likely become a staple at Gaga tours for the next few decades. If you'd like to fire up the record right now and find your own favorite song, 'Mayhem' can be found here. Justin Bieber 'Swag' review: a smooth R&B album trapped in a celebrity meltdown

ALBAWABA - Justin Bieber in new album 'Swag' mixes R&B with controversy. For years, listeners have questioned whether it is appropriate to separate an artist's work from their personal life. But how can we distinguish artists from tabloid personalities? The album "Swag," which Justin Bieber unexpectedly published on Friday, raises the latter question but does not provide an answer. It makes us think about how pop music gets stolen by the pseudo-events of celebrity, while pop superstardom is given life by them. Celebrity Bieber has been in the spotlight again this year, from social media meltdowns to relationship speculations to financial, spiritual, and fitness probes. He even confronted paparazzi at Coachella, shooing them away, and then stood up for himself, saying, 'It's not clocking to you that I'm standing on business?' which became a meme. Justin Bieber Instagram profile I dislike mentioning paparazzi in album reviews, but Bieber makes it impossible not to: Both occurrences are probed on 'Swag.' Bieber discusses his viral moment from weeks earlier with internet comic Druski, who serves as his soundboard for three skits. 'I have had to go through a lot of my struggles as a human, as all of us do, really publicly,' Bieber tells Druski on the appropriately titled 'Therapy Session.' 'People always asking if I'm okay weighs on me.' Except for the interludes, 'Swag,' a modest, unassuming album that blows kisses to his wife, Hailey Bieber, with lovey-dovey (if false) platitudes and a hint of TMI bedroom banter, lacks the strain of being a public figure. This may be Bieber's most consistent album since 2013's criminally overlooked anthology 'Journals,' especially compared to his scattershot 'Justice.' Producers and composers Carter Lang, Dylan Wiggins, and Eddie Benjamin, accompanied by IYKYK stars and Dijon, acknowledge and capitalize on Bieber's strengths as an R&B lover boy. Bieber emulates Michael Jackson's glottal stop hiccups, Babyface-produced slow jams, and MIDI keyboard-created quiet storms over shuffling beatbox beats, gently weeping guitars, and warm-hug synthesizers. In-my-head, in-my-bed, skin-to-skin ooh-babies are Bieber's specialty, even though his voice has lost its teenage delicacy. Fans hoping for lyrics about his current situation will be disappointed. As expected of the first social media pop singer, smartphones mediate the only brilliant phrases: 'That's my baby, she's iconic, with an iPhone case, lip gloss on it,' and 'You leave me on read, babe, but I still get the message / Instead of a line, it's three dots, but I can connect them.' For any insight into Bieber the person, those mood-killing interludes remain. Druski criticizes his recent viral moment's Black language, offers him a Black & Mild, and laughs about his soulfulness and skin tone (territory explored with better success on a nearly decade-old episode of Donald Glover's 'Atlanta'). Bieber calls on more than Druski to testify on his downness: In addition to Sexyy Red's over-the-top verse, Gunna's 'We've got Future at home' verse and Marvin Winans' church stanza are featured. None of the material is as cringeworthy as two Martin Luther King Jr. statements on 'Justice.' A slow-burning hazy-day R&B record is in 'Swag.' However, Bieber's decision to lean into his newest slow-motion celebrity automobile disaster makes it difficult to enjoy the song. Bieber may lament paparazzi life, but he created it. Is he singing, 'Every time you don't say my name / I'm reminded how I love when you say it,' to his wife or the public?

Justin Bieber's ‘Butterflies' Lyrics Call Out Paparazzi Who Use Him for ‘Money, Money, Money'

THE RUNDOWN Justin Bieber used his April 2025 rant to paparazzi as the introduction to his Swag song 'Butterflies.' The singer takes aim at people using him for money and reflects on his own feelings about wealth. The track comes after Justin's rep confirmed earlier this year that the singer cut ties with 'several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.' One of Justin Bieber's Swag tracks appears to be about breaking away from people who exploit him. In 'Butterflies,' Justin begins the song with the same words he directed at paparazzi in April: 'Money, that's all you want, you don't care about human beings / All you want is money.' In the full clip, he told them, 'That's all you care about, guys, is money. You don't care about people.' 'Butterflies' starts with that rant, but it finishes with Justin's reflections about money as he sings about 'slipping away' from more materialistic people. Of course, it's possible the song is directed to more than just photographers. Justin has cut ties with several people over the last year both personally and professionally. In February, Justin's rep told TMZ that 2024 was 'very transformative for him as he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.' 'Butterflies' is Bieber's declaration that he's moving on. Read the lyrics and listen to the song below: IntroYou just want moneyMoney, money, money, money, money, moneyMoney, get out of here, broMoney, that's all you want, you don't care about human beingsAll you want is moneyVerse 1When the money comes and the money goesOnly thing that's left, uh, is the love we holdIt's a pain in pleasure, never black and white (Never black and white)'Cause the sun keeps shining, uh, gonna close my eyesPre-ChorusButterflies, go away (Oh, no, no, no, oh, yeah, yеah)These butterfliеs, seem to go away (Go away)ChorusI'm just moving, and moving, and moving, and moving, I'm slippin' away (Ooh, uh)I'm just moving, and moving, and moving, and moving, I'm slippin' away (Moving then, I'm slippin' away)I'm just moving, and moving, and moving, and moving, I'm slippin' away (Girl, now I'm slippin' away)I'm just moving, and moving, and moving, and moving, and moving, and moving, and moving, and movingVerse 2And this wounded heart'll kill ya love, live without you (Live without you)In this perfect harmony, and that's what we are (Don't go so far along)Pre-ChorusButterflies, go away, away (Oh, no, no, no, butterflies)These butterflies, seem to go away(Oh, no, no, no, butterflies) Always seem to go awayChorusI'm just moving, and moving (Moving), and moving (Moving), and moving, I'm slippin' away (You know I'm slippin', ooh)I'm just moving, and moving, and moving, and moving, I'm slippin' away (Moving then, I'm slippin' away)(I'm 'bout to slip away, I'm 'bout to slip, ooh)I'm just moving, and moving, and moving, and moving, I'm slippin' away (I'm 'bout to slip away, I'm 'bout to slip away, I'm 'bout to slip, ooh)I'm just moving, and moving, and moving, and moving, I'm slippin' away (I'm 'bout to slip away, I'm 'bout to slip away, I'm 'bout to slip away)I'm just moving, and moving, and moving, and moving, I'm slippin' away (I'm 'bout to slip away, I'm 'bout to slip away, I'm 'bout to slip away)OutroButterflies (I'm 'bout to slip away)Butterflies (I'm 'bout to slip away)Butterflies (I'm 'bout to slip away)Butterflies (I'm 'bout to slip away, slippin' away)Butterflies (I'm 'bout to slip away)Butterflies (I'm 'bout to slip away, slippin' away)Butterflies (I'm 'bout to slip away)Butterflies (I'm 'bout to slip away) You Might Also Like The 15 Best Organic And Clean Shampoos For Any And All Hair Types 100 Gifts That Are $50 Or Under (And Look Way More Expensive Than They Actually Are)

Scarlett Johansson screams at paparazzi while filming new movie: ‘Move out of the f**king way'

Scarlett Johansson broke character to put a paparazzo on blast. The Hollywood actress was filming Paper Tiger on a New York City street Thursday when she stopped what she was doing to scream at a photographer, which you can watch in the video player above. 'Move out of the f**king way,' the Oscar nominee, 40, yelled in a video obtained by Page Six on Friday, shooing the individual with one hand. After doubling down on the photographer needing to 'move out of the way,' Johansson pointed out, 'I'm working. 'I get that you're working, but let me do my job,' she continued. 'Be respectful.' The Tony winner was nearly unrecognisable wearing eyeglasses and a short and curly '80s-era wig for the scene in Queens. She completed her look with a brown blazer, white button-down top and brown slacks. In a separate scene, filmed with co-star Adam Driver, Johansson sported tan pants and a vibrant blue top. James Gray is directing the upcoming crime drama, starring Driver, 41, Johansson and Miles Teller. While Anne Hathaway was initially set to play Johansson's role, news broke in May that the Black Widow star had taken over due to Hathaway's other commitments. Shooting began in New Jersey in June. That same month, Johansson was busy promoting her latest movie, Jurassic World Rebirth. She and co-star Jonathan Bailey went viral for locking lips at multiple premieres, once in front of her husband, Colin Jost, but the Bridgerton actor brushed off the backlash in an Entertainment Tonight interview. 'I believe in being able to show love in all different ways,' the actor, 37, said last month. 'And if you can't kiss your friends … life's too short not to.' Johansson's husband, Colin Jost, told the same outlet Thursday that 'people really blow it out of proportion when someone kisses their friend hello.' He joked about the headlines, quipping that he hadn't realised Bailey was a 'threat' to his marriage as an 'out gay man.' The Saturday Night Live star, 43, quipped, 'I guess we have to kiss now? Is that what happens? Close the loop?' He and Johansson have been married since October 2020.
