However, she made a comeback in 2013 with the item song '1 2 3 4 Get on the Dance Floor' in 'Chennai Express'. Priyamani stepped out with Shah Rukh Khan in this song. She created a new fan base with the character of 'Suchi' in the Amazon Prime series 'The Family Man'. Actress's name came into controversy after marriage In 2017, Priyamani married event manager turned film producer Mustafa Raj. Since she is a Hindu and comes from a Tamil Brahmin family, she married Mustafa, who is a Muslim, who believes in Islam. Therefore, their inter-religious wedding was in controversy. Priyamani once told Filmfare that since announcing her engagement, she has faced a lot of trolling online, including severe reactions like 'love jihad'. Some trolls even said that her children would join terrorist groups. She said that this trolling hurt her a lot, especially personal attacks on someone who does not belong to the film industry.
