The alarm was raised after police received reports of a crash involving a black Skoda Octavia and a grey Aprilia Tuono motorcycle. When they arrived at the scene, a 65-year-old man who was riding the motorbike was found injured. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Cops locked down the road for almost 11 hours to allow collision investigators to conduct inquiries at the scene. It was reopened again at 9.05pm later that day. Police have now launched an investigation into the fatal crash and have said that inquiries are ongoing. And they are appealing for anyone with information about the smash to come forward. Any motorists who were in the area and have dashcam footage have also been urged to speak with officers. A stretch of the A82 - which runs from Glasgow to Inverness - was sealed off at around 1.45pm Meanwhile, two people were rushed to hospital on Friday after a motorhome, a pickup truck, and a car crashed near a historic battlefield. A Kia Sorento SUV, Fiat Ducato camper and Toyota Hilux collided on the B9006 at Culloden Moor near Inverness at around 2.10pm. Their condition is unknown, however, the road was closed for three hours after the crash saw debris and parts of the campervan scattered across the carriageway. The Fiat's driver, a man, 41, has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and was expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court sometime today.
