Karl slams Triple J over brutal snub
As the countdown to the unveiling of Triple J's Hottest 100 of Australian Songs inches closer, Today co-host Karl Stefanovic has ripped into the hosts for skipping a song he argued changed Australian music forever. On Saturday from 10am, Triple J will unveil its Hottest 100 of Australian songs that have ruled the airwaves across the country over the past five decades. Speaking on Today, Triple J morning host Lucy Smith and comedian Adam Spencer were running through the Australian hits that could potentially wind up in the top 10, including classics from Cold Chisel, Kylie Minogue, Gotye and Powderfinger. However, there was one notable song missing from the list, Stefanovic told the radio hosts. 'I think Australian music changed tectonically towards the end of last year,' Spencer agreed, offering up his 'tip on the No.1 song in the Hottest 100 Aussies of all time'. The song in question was his bizarre collab with music duo Peking Duk, who in 2024 teamed up with Stefanovic for a cover of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers' 1983 hit Islands in the Stream for his 50th birthday. The wild video features a tanned Stefanovic alongside Peking Duk's lead singer Keli Holiday (AKA Adam Hyde) with their shirts undone, loaded up with gold chains and bopping to the beat in front of a wind machine, complete with guyliner. 'Shame on you Triple J,' Karl said. 'How was (Islands in the Stream) not on the list?' The Triple J hosts were flummoxed as they watched the clip play on screen and Stefanovic offer up his best Fabio impression. 'Lucy, this is the real reason we brought you in,' the hosts laughed. 'It's an interrogation.' Then Smith made an extraordinary offer. 'Karl, you can take out No.1 if you will appear in the studio, oiled up like that (with your) shirt undone,' she suggested. 'I will do that,' he said. While Stefanovic seemed interested in taking up the offer, he instead decided to recreate the viral clip in the Today studio.

Abbie Chatfield details awkward visit to ‘sex pub' on Euro trip with boyfriend Adam Hyde
Abbie Chatfield has just returned from her four-week European holiday with boyfriend Adam Hyde – and boy, does she have a few stories to tell. Debriefing on today's episode of her It's A Lot with Abbie Chatfield podcast, the media personality candidly shared an awkward holiday encounter when she and Hyde found themselves at a 'sex pub' in Amsterdam. 'It wasn't a sex club – it was a sex pub,' Chatfield said. 'We walk in and it's like a pub, like the Royal in Bondi, if you know it.' But the former Bachelor star says that there was nothing sexy about the venue, which charged about €25 ($45) for entry. 'To the left there's a room that looks like a gymnastics room. It's got those plastic covered mattresses… There's also cages, a cage room, with more soft mats in there. A little bar … downstairs there's something but we don't know what.' Chatfield said things got more awkward when she and the Peking Duk musician were told to sit down by the bar with eight other couples. Strangely, everyone facing was inward at each other 'like we're about to do a little battle or something'. 'I said to Adam, 'I can't look up.' I was actually staring down, like I can't look at these people,' she recalled, as her anxiety level rocketed. 'It felt like Adam and I were probably like fresh meat to these people. I feel like they may have been regulars.' Chatfield said she could feel the stares, with one woman even staring at Hyde while 'licking her lips' suggestively. 'It felt like I was a chunk of pork being thrown into the croc den by Bob Irwin,' she admitted. 'It was crazy.' So the duo decided to ditch the group after spotting a man with a Maori tattoo because if he was from New Zealand, it could have been a 'high danger zone' if he recognised the high-profile pair. But the 'dungeon' wasn't much better. 'We go to the dungeon … there's a man with a fedora, suspenders, no shirt, just smacking his chook,' she shuddered. 'They're having a great time alone in the dungeon.' Chatfield and Hyde then go into another room where she forced herself to 'try to be horny' because this experience 'isn't in Australia'. But she just couldn't feel at ease. 'We go into the other room and close the door,' she said, revealing they attempted to get intimate only to find they had an audience. 'There was a group of them in the window watching us have sex… I was like, 'Adam, I hate this,'' she remembered. 'At that point, I was trying to be a good sport. So this whole time Adam thinks I'm OK, but I went, 'Baby, I f***ing hate this.'' And with that the pair were out of there. Chatfield says the biggest reveal of all was that she's 'a prude' and she's OK with that. 'I really hate public sex and I hate people seeing me,' she concluded. 'I think also with this job, even going to bars and people screaming in my face, it's not like a sexy thing. It's not hot. It's like a violation, actually, more than it is hot.'

Abbie Chatfield opens up about X-rated act while on holiday
Don't miss out on the headlines from Sex. Followed categories will be added to My News. One of Australia's most well known media personalities has revealed one X-rated thing she is looking forward to on her upcoming trip to Europe. Abbie Chatfield is currently holidaying in Europe with her boyfriend Adam Hyde, one half of Peking Duk, in honour of her 30th birthday. But, during an Ask Me Anything on her popular Listnr podcast It's A Lot, she revealed one thing she was really excited about ahead of the trip. 'For those of you who don't know, I went to a sex club in Sydney with my friends and I walked in, and the girl behind the bar goes, 'It's Abbie Chatfield,' Chatfield said on the podcast. Abbie Chatfield has spoken about an X-rated thing she is looking forward to on her trip. Picture: Instagram Being recognised soured the experience for the 30-year-old, who was in lingerie at the time, and therefore she did not partake in any of the activities at the venue. 'I felt deeply uncomfortable and anxious the entire time, people were coming up to me and recognising me — no one's allowed phones so it was actually worse,' she said. Chatfield added she and Hyde, who also performs under the name Keli Holiday, have been monogamous throughout their relationship — and will likely continue to do so. But, the trip to Europe allows them to explore their sexuality as a couple without being recognised. 'I've been gagging for a threesome,' Chatfield said bluntly. 'I've been gagging to f*** a woman, you know I'm a bisexual girly pop. But we haven't been able to — like, in Australia, who are we going to have a threesome with?' Chatfield said there was a difference between her sharing her sex life publicly, and others talking about her sex life. She also expressed that she enjoys the idea of watching Hyde have sex with another woman. Chatfield has been open about her bisexuality. Picture: Instagram Chatfield with boyfriend Adam Hyde. Picture: Instagram 'The shame kink is only in the moment, not once it's over,' she said. She said the couple have spoken a lot about experiencing a sex club in Europe, including their boundaries and what they are willing to do. 'I think on the first time we go, we should go and agree to only f*** each other and not touch anyone else,' she said. She said the next time they go to a sex club, they will talk more about what they would be willing to do outside of their relationship. Chatfield expressed that she only wanted to have sexual relationships outside of Hyde with a woman — she said she didn't want to make any other men happy. 'No men I meet in a sex club will ever respect me as much as Adam — and I've never really been into random hook ups,' she said.
