Report – Inter Milan Or AC Milan Could Move For Fiorentina Star As Alternative To Parma Wonderkid Inter Milan or AC Milan could look to Fiorentina defender Pietro Comuzzo as an alternative to Giovanni Leoni. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews. Advertisement Inter Milan and AC Milan look to be in for a real transfer battle this summer over Giovanni Leoni. The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri are not the only clubs with an interest in the teenage defender at Parma. Juventus are also keen, whilst Liverpool have also reportedly joined the race. However, Inter and Milan are reportedly the two main contenders for Leoni's signature. The Nerazzurri want to reunite Leoni with coach Cristian Chivu, who brought the best out of the 19-year-old at Parma. However, their city rivals look to be just as determined to sign him. Fiorentina defender Pietro Comuzzo has a similar profile to Leoni. Like the Parma defender, Comuzzo is very young – just twenty years of age. And similarly to Leoni, Comuzzo has already proven to be a very strong and physical defender with no shortage of height. Therefore, the Corriere della Sera report, Inter or Milan could make Comuzzo their backup target to Leoni to bolster their respective backlines this summer transfer window.

Napoli Put Their Hands on Up-and-Coming Empoli Defender
Napoli have reached an agreement in principle with Empoli for Luca Marianucci. The parties are ironing out the final details and could announce the deal in the next few days already. The Azzurri had identified him as a fallback for Pietro Comuzzo in January, Alfredo Pedullà informs. The Partenopei will shell out €9M, while the youngster will ink a five-year deal. The 20-year-old has appeared 14 times this campaign, starting on 8 occasions and providing 2 assists in the Coppa Italia. Roberto D'Aversa decided to keep him in the squad after a sound loan spell at Pro Sesto in Serie C last year. He stepped in lately while Ardian Ismajli and Mattia Viti were hurt. Napoli wish to sign a highly-rated defender in addition to Marianucci to bolster their future rearguard. They are one of the many sides eyeing Bologna's Sam Beukema. His valuation has at least tripled since he came in on a €7.5M transfer from AZ in 2023. The Dutch side is owed 10 percent of the fee of his sale. The Azzurri are also interested in Oumar Solet, who didn't need much time to turn heads and draw suitors after joining Udinese on a free in January. He's a pretty good prospect, but he's one more for the future than for next season, especially after what happened with Rafa Marin, who had a better resume. There's a chance both are loaned out. They can move pieces around, but the number of center-backs they'll need hinges on what their chief style of defense will be.

Napoli confident about signing Fiorentina's Pietro Comuzzo
Serie A league leaders Napoli are currently confident about the possibility of signing Fiorentina defender Pietro Comuzzo. Talks were held between Napoli and the player's entourage and an offer was about to be made to La Viola. La Repubblica, as relayed by CN24, have reported that the player is keen to work under Antonio Conte, whose club will make an official offer today. They will offer €25 million plus bonuses of €5 million and it will be a two-year long loan with the obligation to buy him permanently. That is is slightly different to what was reported yesterday. As of now, Fiorentina want €35 million in the move, but Napoli are confident that the deal will go through. La Viola have signed Pablo Mari already and the feeling is that he will be a replacement for Comuzzo, who has come leaps and bounds this season in a short space of time. Kaustubh Pandey I GIFN
