Inter Milan and AC Milan look to be in for a real transfer battle this summer over Giovanni Leoni.
The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri are not the only clubs with an interest in the teenage defender at Parma. Juventus are also keen, whilst Liverpool have also reportedly joined the race.
However, Inter and Milan are reportedly the two main contenders for Leoni's signature.
The Nerazzurri want to reunite Leoni with coach Cristian Chivu, who brought the best out of the 19-year-old at Parma. However, their city rivals look to be just as determined to sign him.

Clearly, at least one of Inter or Milan will miss out on Leoni's signature.

And according to the Corriere della Sera, the clubs would both have a clear alternative.
Fiorentina defender Pietro Comuzzo has a similar profile to Leoni.
Like the Parma defender, Comuzzo is very young – just twenty years of age.
And similarly to Leoni, Comuzzo has already proven to be a very strong and physical defender with no shortage of height.
Therefore, the Corriere della Sera report, Inter or Milan could make Comuzzo their backup target to Leoni to bolster their respective backlines this summer transfer window.

'Only thing I can say' – Enzo Maresca makes interesting comment when asked about Kudus
Enzo Maresca refused to comment on speculation about Mohammed Kudus, but admitted he has known the attacker since his Ajax days. Chelsea have already been busy this summer, and have signed Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro, with more new faces expected to follow. Advertisement The Blues haven't ruled out another attacker arriving, and are also thought to be in the market for a centre back to strengthen Maresca's squad ahead of next season. Maresca comments on Kudus interest It's been reported Chelsea want as many as nine attacking options in their squad next season, and the attack has undergone somewhat of a revamp this summer. However, if another attacker is to arrive it's likely one of the current crop will have to leave, with both Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix expected to depart. The most likely candidate at this stage is Noni Madueke, and the England international is attracting interest from Arsenal. Kudus is expected to leave West Ham this summer. (Photo by) Advertisement Chelsea are interested in West Ham forward Kudus, and have been offered the opportunity to sign the Ghana international. The Blues tried to offer players as part of the deal, but West Ham want cash and are thought to be looking at around £60m. Maresca was asked about Kudus after Chelsea's 2-1 win against Palmeiras, but refused to be drawn on speculation linking the 24-year-old with a move to Stamford Bridge. 'Mohammed is a West Ham player, he is not our player so I can't say nothing. Only thing I can say is I know Kudus since Ajax,' he said as cited on Madueke could leave If Kudus is to arrive then it's likely Madueke's time at Stamford Bridge could be over, and the 23-year-old is attracting interest from Arsenal. Roma offer €25m for Wesley
Roma are reportedly getting closer to the signing of Wesley of Flamengo. The Giallorossi have in fact presented an offer of 25 million euros, including bonuses, to secure the services of the 2003-born winger, writes La Gazzetta dello Sport. Advertisement The player was also convinced by the direct pressure from Gian Piero Gasperini, Roma's new coach, who indicated the winger among his first transfer targets. Last summer, Wesley had already been close to joining Atalanta but the deal fell through. Now, a year later, the scenario has moved to the capital, with Roma ready to close the deal in the next few hours. The player has already given the green light for the transfer to take place. Wesley chose the Roman destination also thanks to the advice of a friend and former Giallorossi player, Gerson, who advised him to move to Serie A. However, the real decisive element was the central role that Gasperini intends to assign to him in the new Roma, a project that has thrilled the player. Advertisement According to leaks, the agreement is expected to be found on the basis of a loan with an obligation to buy, in a synergy between Roma and Everton. This formula would guarantee financial flexibility to the Roman club, while ensuring control of the player's rights. However, the definitive agreement with Flamengo, which has always valued the player at around 30 million, still needs to be defined. The Brazilian club is now examining the Roman offer, and the player's will could represent a decisive lever to lower Flamengo's financial demands. There is optimism for a positive conclusion in the near future.

Liverpool winger comments on future amid Barcelona links
On Friday, Nico Williams ruled himself out as an option to strengthen FC Barcelona's left wing, by announcing his contract renewal with Athletic Club until June 2035. As a result, the Blaugrana's attention has turned back to Liverpool and Colombia winger Luis Diaz, who had been the primary target for Deco before Nico emerged as an option. Advertisement Luis Diaz breaks silence on future And soon after the news of Nico's deal collapsing broke, Diaz spoke to Colombian broadcaster WinSports (h/t Mundo Deportivo), providing an update on his future. In his brief statement, Diaz remained non-committal about a potential transfer, saying: 'We don't know yet, we are talking to the board, I am comfortable where I am, and we have to see.' Luis Diaz is a target for Barcelona. (Photo by) The Colombian winger is considered a key target for Barcelona following the collapse of the Nico deal. However, Liverpool's stance and Diaz's contractual situation suggest any movement would be complex. Advertisement After all, his current deal runs until 2027, and the Premier League champions have already issued a hands-off warning to both Barcelona and Bayern Munich. But, reports in Spain suggest that there is a pact in place between Diaz and Liverpool for the Reds to sanction his departure if an €80 million offer arrives. With the summer transfer window in full swing, Barcelona's forward planning now faces renewed uncertainty. Diaz's words suggest that discussions about his future are ongoing with Liverpool, but no decision has yet been finalised.
