Woman told she 'looks like Cole Palmer' now 'can't sleep at night'

A woman has shared her dismay after being compared to a famous English football player - but some YouTube viewers believe this isn't her only celebrity lookalike A woman has been having sleepless nights after being compared to English football player Cole Palmer. Emily, who is known as @emlyhartnett on social media, shared a clip of her copying Palmer's poses for publicity pictures - and people can't believe their likeness. On her TikTok video, she wrote: "Someone told me I look like Cole Palmer once and I haven't been able to sleep at night since." However, it seems she's able to see the funny side to their uncanny likeness, adding: "Call me the goat, I guess." Not only do they both have brown eyes, they also have a similar facial structure including their nose and mouth shape. ‌ Commenting on her video, one user said: "You look more like Cole Palmer than Cole Palmer." ‌ Another user added: "If it makes you feel any better, I really fancy Cole Palmer." A third user said: "Put on a Chelsea shirt and don't ask why." The now 23-year-old joined Chelsea from Manchester City on transfer deadline day in September 2023. He was awarded Player of the Season during his first year at Stamford Bridge and became a full England international, going on to score for his nation in the European Championship final versus Spain. More recently, Palmer started a new season with a two-year extension to his contract, taking him up to 2033. ‌ His stats show he has made 35 men's team appearances, played for 3,015 minutes, and made 15 goals, ranking him as number one in the team. Speaking about how fame has changed his life since joining Chelsea as an attacking midfielder or winger, Palmer said on Chelsea FC: "My life has changed massively. "I can't really go to certain places when I just want to chill. Like when you just go to the shop around the corner, you'll think someone's watching you. ‌ "Being able to play five-a-side is the thing I miss most, though, just being able to go and play five-a-side with your mates." However, one more user claims Cole Palmer isn't her only lookalike claiming she also resembles YouTuber Calfreezy. In agreement, one user said: "OMG, you're so true." Another added: "More accurate." ‌ Even Calfreezy's close friend Callux couldn't help but laugh at the comparison, simply commenting: "LMAO." A final user added: "It's like if Cole Palmer and Calfreezy had a kid." Calfreezy has even played into this likeness dressing up as Palmer on The Fellas Podcast for Halloween last year. ‌ Calfreezy, real name Callum Airey, owns The Fellas Studios alongside Joshua Larkin, known on YouTube as TheBurntChip. ‌ Founded in 2020, the two YouTubers accumulated more than 1.7 billion views in 2023 with their popular podcasts The Fellas, Saving Grace and Growing Paynes. A statement on their website reads: "We were born out of a vision to revolutionise the podcasting world, transforming what has traditionally been an audio-only format into a dynamic video experience. Released City midfielder Olly Dyson pens permanent Spennymoor contract

RELEASED York City midfielder Olly Dyson has penned a permanent contract with Spennymoor Town. Dyson's time as a York player was confirmed to be ending after a near-five year spell with the Minstermen, which started in September 2020. Advertisement He initially joined the club from Huddersfield Town, and played a major part in the City team that gained promotion from the Enterprise National League North in the 2021/22 season. Whilst with York in the Enterprise National League, Dyson would impress in their debut campaign back in the fifth tier. The midfielder would go on to make 42 appearances, scoring four goals, before being named as York's Clubman of the Year. A turbulent 2023/24 season for City would see game time become somewhat limited for Dyson, as he made 23 appearances under three different managers across the campaign. Dyson would also have a brief spell on loan at Scarborough Athletic, which was ended early due to a foot injury. Advertisement After returning to York under manager Adam Hinshelwood, Dyson would spend the entirety of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Spennymoor Town in the National League North, where he established himself as a crowd favourite. The 25-year-old made 45 appearances for Spennymoor, playing at both right-back and in midfield, and had the opportunity to play at Wembley Stadium in the Isuzu FA Trophy final. Whilst with Spennymoor, Dyson added to his personal trophy cabinet, scooping up both the supporters and management staff's Player of the Season awards. In total, Dyson made over 100 appearances for the Minstermen, and also earned a call-up to the England C squad during the 2022/23 season. Advertisement Spennymoor manager Graeme Lee commented on the club website: 'I'm absolutely delighted that Olly is joining us permanently. 'Everyone knows how important he was for us in our successes last season, and we were determined to do everything we could to keep him at the Football Club. 'Not only was he an asset to us on the pitch, but Olly is also a great lad to have around the place and his attitude to his training and playing is first class. 'He deserved the accolades he got last year because of his consistent performances in whatever position he played, and we're excited to see him continue that into 2025/26. Advertisement 'Things are coming together for us now in terms of the squad and this was a key piece of business for us – and one we want to build on now.' On his York departure, Dyson wrote on social media: "My time at York City FC has come to an end. "I came as a 19 year old boy and I now leave six years later with the most amazing memories and achievements I could ever of wished for. "Thank you to all the players, managers, staff and most importantly the fans of the past and present for making the club my home. "I know last year was a disappointing one on a personal note but that doesn't take away everything we achieved together over the years. "I wish the club all the success in the future. Thank you."

Kaizer Chiefs favourite earns new deal as out-of-favour star exits

Kaizer Chiefs have rewarded Zitha Kwinika with a contract extension after the defender ended the 2024/2025 season on a high. The club opted to retain the reliable centre-back, who originally returned to Naturena in July 2022 on a three-year deal from Stellenbosch FC. The Chiefs academy graduate worked his way up through the ranks before leaving in 2016. He gained experience across several PSL clubs, including Chippa United, Thanda Royal Zulu, Bidvest Wits, and Stellenbosch, before shining at Stellies, where he clinched their Player of the Season award. His impressive performances prompted Amakhosi to bring him back into the fold. Kwinika featured in 28 matches during his first campaign back in Soweto. Though his game time dipped to 18 appearances in his second season, he proved his worth when it mattered most. Despite Kaizer Chiefs bolstering their defensive line with new signings Inacio Miguel, Rushwin Dortley, and Bradley Cross under head coach Nasreddine Nabi, Kwinika found chances hard to come by earlier in the season. Cross even filled in as a left-back, further complicating selection. However, injuries to Miguel and Dortley opened the door, and Kwinika seized the opportunity with commanding displays that earned him the club's trust once again. While one player secures his future, another heads for the exit. Chiefs have officially parted ways with midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane after a disappointing stint at the club. Mdantsane arrived at Naturena in June 2023 from Cape Town City with high expectations, but the move failed to deliver. An untimely motor vehicle accident injury early in the 2024/25 season sidelined the 30-year-old and disrupted his momentum. He failed to make a single appearance for Amakhosi and was shipped out on loan to Richards Bay in January. Will these Kaizer Chiefs decisions take them forward?
