Ponguleti lays foundation stones for infra upgrades
Khammam: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy visited Tirumalayapalem mandal on Monday and laid the foundation stone for various development works. In Ajmira Thanda village, the foundation stone was laid for the repair work of the Ajmira Thanda to Rakasi Thanda Road High Level Bridge Approach Road at a cost of Rs 2.50 crore, and for the construction work of the BT road from Hyder Sai Peta to Sirolu (Aakeru) at a cost of Rs 1.65 crore, and from Hyder Sai Peta to Chilakkoyalapadu at a cost of Rs 90 lakh. Ponguleti said that the foundation stone was laid for the construction work of the BT road from Jallepalli to Devunigutta at a cost of Rs 4.18 crore in Jallepalli village. He said that cement roads were laid in this village at a cost of Rs 83 lakh and drinking water arrangements were made at a cost of Rs 6 lakh. Notably, the Gopalapuram Jallepalli Road Bridge, which was washed away due to floods last year, is being built at a cost of Rs 33 crore, the Patharlapadu Cross Road to Ravi Chettu Thanda Road is being built at a cost of Rs 20 crore, and the Patharlapadu Cross Road to Jallepalli Road is being built at a cost of Rs 27 crore. He said that the Paleru Maripeda Road has been sanctioned at a cost of Rs 16 crore and the work on these will start soon. He said that steps have been taken for the development of the village in Sublaid village with a cost of about Rs 35 crore.

Indiramma housing scheme: 13,266 homes sanctioned for Chenchu tribals across Telangana, says minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy
HYDERABAD: The Indiramma housing scheme is not just about shelter-it is aimed at providing dignity and security to the poor and Chenchu tribal communities of Telangana, especially women, in whose names the housing sanction letters are being issued, said revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Speaking at public meetings in Atchampet and Kollapur assembly constituencies, where sanction letters were distributed to 536 Chenchu tribal families, Ponguleti, accompanied by tourism minister Jupally Krishna Rao, emphasised the govt's commitment to uplifting the most marginalised. He announced that a total of 13,266 Indiramma houses will be sanctioned to Chenchu tribals across the state in saturation mode. "Every eligible poor family will now realize their dream of owning a home. The govt is committed to sanctioning houses to all poor families in a phased manner," Ponguleti said. "The Chenchus, who mostly lived in huts and makeshift homes, will finally get permanent houses-a long-cherished dream now becoming reality," he said. Additionally, the govt is offering free sand and other construction-related support, and releases funds every Monday based on the stage-wise progress of construction.

Minister Ponguleti distributes Indiramma house papers to beneficiaries at Kothagudem
Kothagudem: Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy presented Indiramma House sanction documents to beneficiaries from Lakshidevipalli, Sujatha Nagar, Palvancha and Chunchupalli mandals and house site pattas to SRT and Maya Bazaar residents here on Sunday. MP Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy, MLA Kunanneni Sambasiva Rao, district Collector Jitesh V Patil and others were present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Ponguleti said giving Indiramma house sanction documents to girls on the first Ekadashi day is an auspicious occasion. He said, 'no girl child is disappointed that she did not get Indiramma house in this phase. We will give it to all the rest in the coming phases.' 'This government will not make speculative statements like the previous government with the blessings of the people. The Indiramma government has completed a year and a half,' the Minister said. In the first phase, Ponguleti informed, the government is giving 4.50 lakh houses across the state. Of this, the construction of two and a half lakh houses will be done gradually. In the future, there may be a village without a temple, but there will be no village without Indiramma houses. Every Monday, money will be deposited in the accounts of the beneficiaries of Indiramma houses, the Minister added. No one needs to give a single rupee in any form to a girl child. A total of Rs 5 lakh will be deposited in her account, Ponguleti promised. He explained the schemes of free buses for women, cooking gas for Rs 500, free rice through ration shops, Rajiv Arogya Sri hikes for 10 lakh, as the saying goes, with the aim of making the farmer a king, we have waived off loans worth Rs. 21,000 crore in ten months. Four days ago, in the name of Rythu Bharosa, Rs 9,000 crore was deposited in the accounts of every eligible farmer, he informed. Telangana leads nation in providing housing for the poor: Minister Ponguleti
Hyderabad, June 30 (UNI) Telangana is emerging as a national leader in providing housing for the poor through the ambitious Indiramma Housing Scheme, said State Revenue, Housing and Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy today. Reviewing the progress of the scheme with officials, Minister Ponguleti stated that no other government in the country has taken up house construction for the poor at a unit cost of Rs 5 lakh. He emphasised that houses are being constructed for all eligible individuals in the state, regardless of whether they are covered under central schemes, an official statement said. 'To empower the poor and ensure dignified living, the Indiramma government is building homes for all, with a vision to eliminate huts in the state,' the Minister said. He credited Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's leadership and commitment to the welfare of the underprivileged for the rapid progress of the housing initiative. So far, three lakh houses have been sanctioned across Telangana, with 1.23 lakh currently under various stages of construction. The government has set a target to build 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses this year, at a cost of Rs 22,500 crore, covering 3,500 houses in each Assembly constituency. To ease the burden on beneficiaries, the government is also providing 40 metric tons of sand free of cost for each house. Minister Ponguleti added that funds for the construction are being deposited directly into the bank accounts of beneficiaries every Monday, ensuring transparency and timeliness. He urged officials to accelerate efforts in urban areas, directing them to identify suitable land and prepare action plans for cities including Hyderabad, Warangal, Mahabubnagar, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, and Nalgonda. The Minister also stressed the need for improved performance in some districts in both sanctioning and executing the housing projects. Works for over 1 lakh Indiramma houses progressing at a fast pace
Hyderabad: Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has announced that 1.03 lakh Indiramma houses have been grounded, with construction work progressing at full swing across the state. During a review meeting at the Secretariat, the Minister stated that the government is providing 40 metric tonnes of sand free of cost for each Indiramma house. He instructed field-level officials to ensure that beneficiaries maximise this benefit. 'The process of grounding Indiramma houses in the state is progressing at a rapid pace,' he said. 'So far, about 3 lakh houses have been sanctioned, of which 2.37 lakh beneficiaries have been given sanction documents. A total of 1.03 lakh houses have been grounded, and construction work is ongoing at various stages.' The Minister added that the government has set a target of constructing 4.50 lakh Indiramma houses across the state this year, with a budget of Rs 22,500 crore. This equates to an average of 3,500 houses per constituency. The selection process for beneficiaries has been completed in 88 out of 95 constituencies in the state, excluding the GHMC area. He instructed officials to continuously monitor the basement work of the grounded houses to ensure completion as soon as possible, especially with the monsoon season in mind. Mr Ponguleti highlighted that despite the state government's financial difficulties, payments are being made to beneficiaries every Monday without delay, based on the progress of the construction work. He emphasised that payments are being made directly to the bank accounts of the Indiramma beneficiaries in four instalments, eliminating any possibility of middlemen involvement. He specified that Rs 1 lakh is released after the completion of the basement, Rs 1.25 lakh after the completion of the walls, Rs 1.75 lakh after the completion of the slab, and Rs 1 lakh after the completion of the remaining works.
