Katy Perry was overwhelmed with emotion during her Lifetimes tour stop in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. The 40-year-old pop star alluded to her recent breakup with now-ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom while obliging fans' request for her to sing her heartbreak ballad Not Like the Movies. During the show the show in the city's Inglewood neighborhood, she asked the audience: 'You're gonna make me sing this song in this time in my life? OK, we'll do it! Because you voted for it.' According to an account from People, she continued, 'I let you choose the song tonight because I like to pick an album for every country that I go to and for the USA, I picked Teenage Dream because USA, you could be a teenage dream, baby. You better get it together. I'll always have that feeling for you.' Per the outlet, she candidly added, 'This next song I wrote in my 20s … after my first divorce,' before promising she would 'try and hold my composure while I sing it a week before my period.' Earlier in the day she had snubbed Bloom in her Instagram post promoting the concert. She listed everyone who would be in attendance for the show in her native Los Angeles, and missing from the special guests was the 48-year-old actor. Perry's caption to her 203 million followers began, 'HOMETOWN SHOW AT THE FORUM TONIGHT‼️' Showing her sense of humor, she then added, 'Ecstatic to play a show for ALL the Angelenos including my best friends, my business partners, mom, dad, my ear nose and throat doctor, my dog groomer, my MDMA therapist, my acupuncturist, my manicurist, the teacher from the yoga class I went to in 2015, the uber eats guy that that delivered my brisket breakfast burrito this morning from Dialog Cafe and all the friends that are friends with someone that knows Tamra.' While Orlando wasn't present for the performance, his ex-wife Miranda Kerr was in attendance. Perry and Bloom confirmed their breakup this month, after swirling speculation about their relationship status. The pair began dating in 2016 and got engaged on Valentine's Day 2019, before welcoming their four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove in August 2020. Bloom is also dad to 14-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with Kerr. Representatives for the pair told that 'Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting. They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.' The split was optically cemented when Orlando attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's star-studded Venice wedding alone. Katy and Orlando share daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, who turns five in August. The full-length has only pushed past half a year on a few lists, as the set has experienced the shortest stay of her career. Dua Lipa's Album Hit No. 1 Almost Everywhere While it hasn't held on for very long, Radical Optimism was a quick win. The full-length reached No. 1 on all but the Official Albums Streaming chart, where it missed the mark by just one spot. Dua Lipa's Entire Discography Rises As Radical Optimism enjoys an impressive comeback, both of the Grammy winner's other two full-lengths also rise. Something Beautiful earns Cyrus another No. 1 in that country — several of them, actually — as it leads multiple rankings at the same time. Something Beautiful launches on five charts in the U.K., kicking off its time at No. 1 on two of them. The latest full-length from Cyrus opens atop both the Official Albums Sales and Official Album Downloads charts, and it's clear that pure purchases largely powered the multi-genre effort to success. As the set arrives, Cyrus doubles her total count of No. 1s on the Official Albums Sales chart. She only reached the peak position for the first time under her name in 2023 with Endless Summer Vacation, her most recent project before Something Beautiful. Something Beautiful came very close to reaching No. 1 on two other tallies, but just barely missed out on the summit. The set starts in the runner-up space on the Official Vinyl Albums chart and comes in at No. 3 on the main list of the most consumed full-lengths and EPs throughout the U.K. Somewhat surprisingly, Something Beautiful underperforms when it comes to streaming activity. Despite her largely younger fan base – the demographic that loves streaming sites – Cyrus launches her title on the Official Albums Streaming chart at No. 39, just barely sneaking into the top 40 region. The numbers show that sales played a huge role in the project's placement on the Official Albums chart, which blends both streams and purchases.
