Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 11 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav distributed free bicycles to class 6th and class 9th students and announced that scooty will be distributed to the toppers of class 12th next month. CM Mohan Yadav on Thursday distributed bicycles at the Kamla Nehru Sandipani School in Bhopal on the occasion of Guru Purnima. Addressing at the event he also announced that 1 lakh free laptops will be distributed to the students who scored 75 per cent or more marks in the class 12th board examination. 'We will give them (students) Scooty next month. We will give laptops to students above 75 per cent. And those who will top their school. We will give them scooty. And there will be no issue of filling the petrol, we will distribute EV vehicles,' Mohan Yadav said. 'Last year we distributed 94, 000 Laptops, next year we will distribute more than 1 Lakh laptops,' he added. Last week, CM Mohan Yadav transferred Laptop grants worth Rs 235.58 crore to bank accounts of 94,234 students who scored 75 per cent or more marks in the class 12th board examination of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education in academic session 2024-25. The laptop aid was given to the students at the rate of Rs 25,000 each under 'Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana' of the School Education Department during a programme held at Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre in Bhopal. After the programme, CM Yadav told reporters, 'Today, a programme of providing laptop aid to 94234 students of private as well as government schools across state who scored 75 per cent or more marks in the class 12th board examination of MPBSE was concluded. I am happy to share that the way we have encouraged our students within the last two years is a big achievement. Additionally, with the previous tenure of Shivraj Singh Chouhan and till date over 4 lakh (4, 32,016) students have benefited from the scheme in the last 15 years.' Yadav also said that the government is providing scooty to school toppers 'On the one hand, the state government is providing laptops to students who scored 75 per cent or above marks and scooty to school toppers. Along with the scooty, the CM said. Earlier in February of this year, Yadav had symbolically handed over scooty keys to 10 students out of 7,900 who topped the Class 12 board examinations for the academic session 2023-24. Yadav also clarified that no tender process would be involved in distributing scooties to meritorious students, and they would receive them directly based on their choice, petrol or electric. Responding to the allegations, CM Yadav told ANI, 'I am happy that there is a conducive environment for providing scooties to meritorious students across the state, in the meantime someone has spread misinformation that scooty will be given to them after placing a tender. No tender will be placed, the students will get scooty directly according to their choice either petrol scooty or an e-scooty,' he said. (ANI)

MP CM announces laptop aid for over 94,000 top-scoring Class 12 students

The Madhya Pradesh government awarded a staggering amount of Rs 239 crore in laptop aid to about 94,234 deserving class 12 students today, July 4, 2025. The Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana is designed to empower and encourage students who took the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) Class 12 exams and received a score of at least 75 per cent. The chosen students will receive Rs 25,000 directly in their bank accounts to purchase a laptop to help them with their studies. MPBSE exam results 2025: Government post MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav wrote on his X and said, "I'm delighted that on 4th July, we will extend financial incentives of Rs 25,000 each to 94,234 students who have scored 75 percent or above in the Class 12 MP Board examinations." The CM also gave away laptops to 15 top-performing Class 12 students from government schools across the state during a programme held at the Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre on Friday. These students scored the highest marks in various subjects, including science, commerce, the arts, and mathematics, in the academic year 2024–2025 in the state. Of them, Prayal Dwivedi was the first to get a laptop from the Chief Minister after achieving the highest score of 492 out of 500 in the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) exams. During the event, School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh joined the chief minister. Other meritorious and deserving students who received laptops are Harsh Pandey (490), Ankur Yadav (490), Abhay Singh (489), Aryan Pandey (488), Heena Kumari (488), Hariom Shahu (486), Raghuveer Gautam (484), Gargi Agrawal (484), Divyanshu Tiwari (484), Deepika Singh (483), Parth Rathore (483), Nishra Pandit (487), Panjal Kushwaha (487), and Yogita Tank (478). What is "Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana"? Since its launch in 2009–10, the "Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana" Scheme has assisted over 4.3 lakh students with funds totalling more than INR 1080 crore. The program encourages youth to pursue higher education and promotes digital literacy. Approximately 89,710 students were awarded financial aid under this program in 2023–2024. Both regular and self-taught students from government and accredited non-government schools are covered under the program. Students from the general category must have received at least 75%, while those from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) must have received at least 65%.

The laptop aid was given to the students at the rate of Rs 25,000 each under 'Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana' of the School Education Department during a programme held at Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre in Bhopal. After the programme, CM Yadav told reporters, 'Today, a programme of providing laptop aid to 94234 students of private as well as government schools across state who scored 75 per cent or more marks in the class 12th board examination of MPBSE was concluded. The government is providing funds for uniforms and books are given to students through the government arrangement,' the CM said. Based on Sandipani School, the state government earned international fame. It indicates that the state government is committed to quality school education in schools and, similarly, in all sectors of education. The government is also ready to pay the fees of students for higher education. 'Our children should become educated, successful and take the state forward. Keeping these things in view, the state should grow ahead in the academic field within the country, therefore, medical colleges are also being set up at a fast pace in Madhya Pradesh. Various campuses of all types of universities are opening in Madhya Pradesh. Four days ago, we opened a campus of Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) in RGPV, Bhopal. With this, I would like to make a note that there will be a revolution in the education field in the future and Madhya Pradesh will progress progressively under the leadership of the Prime Minister,' he added. Under 'Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana', students who have secured 75 per cent or more marks in the Class 12 board exams conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education will receive Rs 25,000 each in their bank accounts for purchasing a laptop. This year, 94,234 meritorious students will receive a total of Rs 235.58 crore under the scheme. During the Year 2023-24, Rs 224.27 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of 89,710 meritorious students under this scheme. The scheme launched in Year 2009-10 has so far benefited 4,32,016 students, with a total disbursement of Rs 1,080.04 crore for laptops in the past 15 years. (ANI)
