Save 30% on airport lounge access and escape the crowds this summer

The airport lounge access deal will let travellers enjoy a quiet space away from the crowds, with complimentary snacks, drinks, WiFi and comfortable seating It is time to set our sights on the upcoming summer holidays. Whether travellers have already secured their booking or are just beginning to plan, the countdown to a sun-soaked getaway has officially started. Priority Pass is currently offering a 30% discount on airport lounge access, allowing holidaymakers to enjoy chic spaces away from the throngs, complete with complimentary nibbles, beverages, WiFi and cosy seating. Securing an airport lounge is the ultimate travel hack for dodging jam-packed airports. There are more than 1,700 Priority Pass airport lounges to choose from. This deal will enable travellers to experience the luxury of first-class without the hefty price tag. Nestled away from the hectic terminal waiting areas, guests can enjoy refreshments, queue-free bathroom facilities and WiFi for work or leisure. For families jetting off with children, they also provide a welcome break from the chaos of large terminals, making it easier to keep an eye on the little ones and keep them entertained. All Priority Pass airport lounges come equipped with flight information screens. Some even offer sleep pods for lengthy layovers, and the option to indulge in dedicated spa areas and treatments at an extra charge. The Priority Pass digital membership is instantly available via the app, allowing travellers to book and unwind as soon as they sign up. Unlike one-off lounge passes, Priority Pass allows usage on both outbound and return flights, whereas a single-day lounge pass only covers one leg of the journey. This typically works out cheaper than purchasing a single-use entry pass for a departure lounge, and the more frequently you use the lounges, the more cost-effective your subscription becomes. If Priority Pass airport lounges don't quite tick all your boxes, single-use airport passes can be booked through Expedia, with Heathrow Airport lounges starting from £34. There are also other options available for airports across the UK and further afield. It's worth mentioning that Holiday Extras offers a variety of airport lounge deals, along with car hire, hotel stays and more. The Priority Pass app comes with additional benefits such as early access to duty-free shopping, premium fitness content, and the ability to pre-book lounges. Members can also enjoy spa treatments, gaming zones, pre-order takeout, private transfers, and discounted car rentals worldwide. Travellers who've used Priority Pass airport lounges in the past have been voicing their opinions on Trustpilot. One jet-setter recounted: "Six family members visited the lounge in Florence, Italy, while waiting for our flight back to the USA. It was very relaxing, good food and drinks, nice bathrooms, no wait to get in. Very good experience." Another traveller said: "Been using Priority Pass in Europe for over a year. I made 22 visits last year and all of the experiences were smooth. Zero complaints and I would highly recommend Priority Pass to anyone interested." A third passenger wrote: "Our experience was very good! The staff at Heathrow Airport was courteous and efficient. The food was good and the lounge was nice although rather crowded! Would definitely use the lounge again!". However, it hasn't been all rosy, with a less satisfied customer commenting: "I like the clubs, but they aren't at all the airports I fly out of. Lately, they have been crowded and have to wait. Often they are located in different terminals than the one I fly out of." Despite a few hiccups, the consensus is that securing a spot in a Priority Pass airport lounge has generally been a hit with flyers. Another user concluded: "Literally a life saver when travelling. I love having a place to relax and grab a bite to eat or a drink before a flight. It's truly a game changer."

Major Edinburgh Airport change for passengers flying this summer

Holidaymakers flying from the country's busiest hub can take advantage of a new addition this summer Passengers flying from Edinburgh Airport this summer can now make use of a new lounge after the opening of Escape Lounges in its first ever Scottish location. Fliers who are heading off on holiday or work trips can access the lounge before they board their flights either by pre booking online or on the day. The major addition to Scotland's biggest and busiest airport was announced today, Friday, June 27. Airport bosses have said passengers will get to experience a 'final taste of Scotland' before taking off. Prices start from £39.99 per person for the lounge, which is now open. They say the lounge reflects the city's unique character and natural beauty. Referred to as the greenest city in the UK, Edinburgh's connection to nature is reflected in the lounge's design, where deep greens evoke its lush parks and gardens, and sandy tones mirror its historic stone buildings. The lounge's design blends Edinburgh's history and modernity, with integrated planters and greenery reflecting the city's seamless mix of tradition and contemporary flair. And the walls show artistic representations of the city, from the medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town to the vibrant waterfront of Leith. Passengers can now visit the airport lounge if booked online in advance from £39.99 per person, guaranteeing a comfortable start to their journey, or can opt for walk-in access on their day of travel for £49 per person. Escape Lounges also offers complimentary access to numerous cardholder members, including Priority Pass and DragonPass. Fliers will find it next to Gate 4 and the British Airways Lounge. It is open daily from 4:00am to 10:00pm, offering passengers from all airlines a space to relax and eat and drink before boarding their flight. It also has a selection of complimentary food and drink, including seasonal breakfasts and locally inspired dishes and drinks, high-speed Wi-Fi, power outlets and real-time flight information. And guests can take advantage of a digital library which has access to more than 7,000 global publications and areas designated for work and relaxation. Rob Hassard, Head of Growth, Experiences for CAVU, the parent company of Escape Lounges said: "Our mission is to transform the airport experience, and we're thrilled to be opening our newest Escape Lounge at Edinburgh Airport. " Our elevated offering gives all guests flying out of the region the chance to enjoy an Escape to Remember – through a combination of exceptional food and drink, attentive service, and a beautifully designed lounge, all inspired by the local region.' Gail Taylor, chief commercial officer (XAero) at Edinburgh Airport said: ' We are committed to elevating the travel experience for our passengers, and the opening of this brand-new Escape Lounge - the first of its kind in Scotland - is another significant step forward for us "We're particularly proud of how Edinburgh and Scotland are reflected throughout the lounge, ensuring our passengers enjoy a final taste of Scotland before they depart. "We look forward to welcoming them and helping them start their journey in a relaxed and comfortable setting.' To learn more or to pre-book your stay, visit Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Updated $795 Chase Sapphire Reserve offers best-ever welcome bonus: 100K points, $500 travel credit

A long-awaited overhaul to the premium Chase Sapphire Reserve® (see rates and fees) has officially arrived — and with a limited-time, best-ever welcome offer: New Sapphire Reserve cardholders can earn 100,000 points and a $500 Chase Travel℠ credit after spending $5,000 in the first three months. Notably, the annual fee has also increased to $795 (previously $550). There are new statement credits and perks, along with changes to the earning structure that will affect how you can get the most value out of your card. Plus, a refreshed card design. With its updated benefits, the revamped Sapphire Reserve is said to offer more than $2,700 in annual value — ideally offsetting the high annual fee, if you use all the credits and benefits. Let's dive into all the details on the Sapphire Reserve's overhaul. On Chase's site On Chase's site Get more than $2,700 in annual value with Sapphire Reserve. The Sapphire Reserve first launched in 2016 with a 100K-point welcome offer, but the $500 travel credit is a big addition and definitely makes the card worth it. The overhauled Chase Sapphire Reserve annual fee is $795, up from $550. Authorized users can be added for $195 per person, up from $75 each, and will also receive complimentary access to the Priority Pass lounges, a feature that other cards have been removing. The card changes are active for new cardholders who apply and are approved on or after June 23. Sapphire Reserve cardholders pre-June 23 will be charged the new annual fee on their next card renewal on or after Oct. 26, 2025. When using your credit at The Edit properties, cardmembers who stay at least two nights will also get complimentary benefits like a $100 property credit, daily breakfast and room upgrades when available. We're loving the first two changes, but the third came as a bit of a shock. Previously, the 3X points on all travel purchases had great flexibility as it included spending on subways, parking costs, road tolls, vacation homes, cruises and more. Replacing the 50% redemption boost through the Chase Travel portal is a new points accelerator program called Points Boost. Points Boost will allow eligible cardmembers to redeem their Ultimate Rewards® points for up to 2X value when booking select airlines and hotels through Chase Travel. Otherwise, it's a fixed 1 cent per point. If you were a Sapphire Reserve cardholder before June 23, any points earned prior to Oct. 26, 2025, can still be redeemed for either 1.5 cents per point or for 2 cents per point through Points Boost, up to two years (Oct. 26, 2027). Beyond the Chase Sapphire Reserve, other premium travel cards on the market include those from Amex and Capital One. Chase Sapphire Reserve® For Business Review 2025: Worth The Wait?

Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business cardholders can access over 1,300 lounges around the globe. This includes the Sapphire Lounge by the Club network and Priority Pass Select with enrollment. Notably, primary card members can also bring two free guests per visit, including to the luxury Sapphire Lounge by the Club network. While competitors have made recent moves to remove complimentary guest access from their high-end lounges, the Sapphire Reserve stands out by continuing to buck that trend. Money-Saving Annual Travel Credits We were excited to learn that the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business will receive the same flexible $300 annual travel credit that the personal Chase Sapphire Reserve® has long been famous for. Unlike some travel credits from competing cards, you don't need to book travel through a portal to use this credit. Instead, it goes toward the first $300 you spend on any travel purchases each year with an extensive list of qualifying purchases. But the Sapphire Reserve for Business doesn't stop there. It also offers a $500 credit for stays with The Edit by Chase Travel's collection of hotels and resorts—up to $250 from January to June for prepaid bookings and another $250 from July to December. This is the first business card to provide access to The Edit. Plus, card members who book at least a two-night stay will receive additional on-property benefits like a $100 property credit, daily breakfast for two, room upgrades (when available) and more. Up to 8X Points on Travel Bookings With the Sapphire Reserve for Business, you'll 5% cash back on travel purchased through Chase Travel℠, 2.5% cash back on purchases of $5,000 or more and 2% cash back on all other purchases. Those are strong earnings rates, especially since some top competitors like the The Business Platinum Card® from American Express (Terms apply, rates & fees) and Capital One Venture X Business don't offer any bonus points for travel purchased outside their respective portals. Excellent Redemption Flexibility Unlike the rewards earned by many other premium travel cards, Ultimate Rewards points can be redeemed for cash back at a value of 1 cent per point. However, you could find much higher value through travel redemptions, such as by transferring points to one of Chase's travel partners or taking advantage of Chase's new 'Points Boost' program, where points can be worth up to 2 cents each. Wide Array of Credits Tailored to Businesses Chase is offering over $1,000 in potential value for eligible purchases with select business services. These include: $400 ZipRecruiter credit for hiring. Earn up to $200 in statement credits from January to June and another $200 from July to December for purchases made directly with ZipRecruiter. Get up to $10 per month. Plus, cardholders earn 5X total points on Lyft rides through September 30, 2027. There's generally less fine print with these benefits than what you'll find with the Amex Business Platinum's bevy of credits. Still, the majority of them are broken up into monthly or semiannual chunks. And the $25 monthly DoorDash value could be especially difficult to maximize as it's broken up into not one, not two, but three different promos; and only $5 each month can be used toward restaurant orders. Best-in-Class Travel Protections The Chase Sapphire Reserve has long been renowned for offering some of the strongest travel protections on the market, and the business version of the card is following in that tradition. It delivers the same comprehensive lineup of travel protections, including primary auto rental coverage, trip cancellation and interruption insurance, trip delay reimbursement, lost luggage reimbursement, baggage delay insurance and more. It's worth noting these protections extend to employee cardholders as well. Bonus: Extra Benefits for Big Spenders If you spend $120,000 on the Reserve Business card in a calendar year, you'll unlock a set of exclusive perks that last through the end of that year and all of the next. These include IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite status and Southwest Airlines A-List status. Plus, you'll get up to $1,000 in statement credits—up to $500 for Southwest Airlines flights booked through Chase Travel and up to $500 to use at the Shops at Chase, Chase's new online shopping platform. Other Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business Benefits Complimentary IHG Platinum Elite status through December 31, 2027. Enjoy perks like room upgrades, early check-in and late checkout at IHG hotels. Top 5 Unexpected Spots to Freshen Up on the Road: Tips for Today's Digital Nomad

Life as a digital nomad is thrilling, flexible, and packed with adventure. But let's be honest—sometimes it's hard to stay fresh between long flights, bus rides, and spontaneous detours. You don't always have the luxury of a hotel room, and let's face it, public restrooms aren't exactly spa-like. That's why knowing where to stop and refresh can be a game-changer. Here are five unexpected but totally effective places where modern travelers and remote workers can clean up, relax, and recharge without breaking the bank. 1. Private Home Bathrooms via Sharing Apps This might sound surprising, but you can now rent a bathroom by the hour through apps like Shower Share. Think Airbnb, but just for showers. Whether you need a quick refresh before a meeting or a proper shower after a red-eye flight, you can book clean, private spaces near you with a few taps. Shower rental near me has become a popular search term among travelers who prefer more privacy than gyms or gas stations can offer. It's affordable, safe, and often located exactly where you need it—urban hubs, near transit centers, and even suburban neighborhoods. 2. Airport Lounges (Without First Class Tickets) You don't need to be flying business class to access airport lounges anymore. Many offer day passes or memberships that grant you access to showers, lounges, snacks, and Wi-Fi. For example, Priority Pass has hundreds of lounges worldwide where you can clean up during long layovers. If you travel frequently, this can be a solid investment. But even if you're not a frequent flyer, purchasing a lounge pass for a single trip can make a long day feel luxurious. 3. Gyms and Fitness Clubs (Even as a Visitor) Major gym chains like Anytime Fitness, LA Fitness, or Planet Fitness offer day passes, allowing travelers to access their facilities. These gyms usually have showers, lockers, and sometimes even saunas. It's a great way to fit in a quick workout and take a proper shower afterward. Even better, many gyms are open 24/7 and are found in both large cities and smaller towns. 4. Highway Rest Stops with Full-Service Amenities Not all rest stops are created equal. Some of the larger highway stations across the U.S. offer full-service rest areas, including private showers, changing rooms, and even laundry facilities. These are commonly used by truck drivers but are open to everyone. They're especially helpful on long road trips where hotel stops aren't practical. Just bring a towel and a travel-size toiletry kit, and you're set. 5. Boutique Co-Working Spaces with Facilities As remote work becomes more widespread, co-working spaces are upping their game. Many now include shower rooms and wellness areas for their members. You don't need a monthly pass—just check which ones offer day passes. It's a smart option if you want to be productive for a few hours and clean up before your next journey. Some even have meditation rooms and quiet pods. Bonus Tip: Book a private restroom in NYC or other metro areas Cities like New York can be overwhelming when you're trying to find a clean, quiet space. That's where Shower Share shines. You can browse listings and find private restroom in NYC to take a break from the chaos—perfect for nomads attending events, meetings, or just needing a minute to reset. Flexibility and location are everything when you're on the move. You don't always need a full hotel room, just a clean, safe place to freshen up. That's why the rise of on-demand services like Shower Share is such a win for remote workers. These services are also great for digital nomads who want to rent out your shower when they're not traveling. Hosting gives you extra income, while booking gives you control and convenience. It's a modern solution to an age-old travel problem. As a digital nomad, your schedule is yours—but so are your hygiene and comfort needs. With these five unconventional but reliable options, you can keep moving without compromising how you feel. From gyms and lounges to local bathrooms listed on sharing apps, you now have more ways than ever to stay fresh on the road. So next time you're wondering where to clean up, skip the gas station sink and book yourself a proper refresh. It's never been easier to travel clean. TIME BUSINESS NEWS
