2026 Infiniti QX60 Arrives With A Substantial Price Bump

Infiniti has revealed the refreshed-for-2026 QX60 lineup, which gains a new Sport trim to replace the Sensory model from last year. More than just a name change, the Sport also adds Dark Blue upholstery, a black headliner, dark exterior accents, an S badge on the tailgate, and unique gloss black 20-inch wheels. The entire lineup now features a redesigned grille inspired by a bamboo forest, an illuminated Infiniti emblem, and restyled daytime running lights, the origins of which can be traced back to the full-size QX80. The rear fascia has also been mildly resculpted, and new wheels are available on every trim, including the base Pure, which now costs $51,200, which is exactly $1,000 up from the pricing announced nearly a year ago for the 2025 model. The shipping and handling fee remains unchanged at $1,350. The QX60 Pure offers 20-inch wheels, newly standard dual 12.3-inch displays with Google built-in, wireless phone charging, and five USB-C ports. Under the hood, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder delivers 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque, and when properly equipped, Infiniti claims a tow rating of 6,000 pounds for all trims. Adding AWD adds $2,000 to the price. Next up is the Luxe trim, starting $56,800 as standard and $58,800 with AWD, meaning its price is unchanged for 2026. This gets a 3D surround view monitor with Mobile Object Detection, a new feature for 2026. The Luxe also boasts a 16-speaker sound system from Klipsch, climate-controlled front seats, and heating for the second row. The Sport gets AWD as standard and starts at $61,700. When the Sensory trim could still be ordered without AWD, it started at $59,100, so this represents an increase of $2,600. Fortunately, the range-topping Autograph variant - with massaging front seats, a 20-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere sound system, semi-aniline quilted leather, a color head-up display, a two-tone roof, and black open-pore ash wood trim with metal inlays - starts at $66,150, the same as it cost last year. After Infiniti culled its most affordable SUVs last year, the QX50 and QX55, the QX60 is the entry point to ownership, but that may soon change. A report from Automotive News last month indicated that Nissan is preparing a new compact crossover under the internal codename i33C. Unconfirmed reports indicate that this will form the basis of the next Nissan Rogue and that Infiniti will piggyback with something similar. This is expected to be either a mild-hybrid or a plug-in hybrid, and in Infiniti guise, it'll have more upmarket appointments and technology. If these reports are accurate, we expect to see the production version arrive in 2027. Copyright 2025 The Arena Group, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

The Nissan Armada Nismo Takes Performance Up a (Small) Notch

The Armada Nismo is a higher-performance version of the brand's largest and toughest SUV. This is more than just an appearance package; the Nismo team has made a few meaningful changes that should make the Armada genuinely sportier to drive, if only just. What's new? The first thing you'll notice about the Armada Nismo is that body kit. The Nismo team redesigned the front and rear fascias, plus added fender flares (that look just a little too wide), exclusive side steps, a rear spoiler, and a positively massive grille. There are also red accents around the exterior, as well as unique 22-inch wheels. The look won't be for everyone, but it certainly plays into the performance image Nissan is going for, and supposedly enhances the chunky SUV's aerodynamics too. Under the hood is the same 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 you'll find in other Armadas, but it's been retuned to make 460 horsepower — 35 more ponies than other trims, and even 10 more than the Armada's more luxurious cousin, the Infiniti QX80. Nissan says the extra power was achieved through revised engine programming and fine-tuning of valve clearances. Additionally, and unlike other Armadas, the Nismo requires premium fuel to unlock maximum power. The extra 35 horsepower in a vehicle that weighs 6,102 pounds is unlikely to yield much in the way of quicker acceleration, but at least it's something.

2026 Nissan Armada Review, Pricing, and Specs

Overview The 2026 Nissan Armada is a family-oriented workhorse that is competent at hauling people, cargo, or both. Adults will fit in each of the Armada's three rows of seats, and if you need to tow, it offers a maximum 8500-pound trailering capacity. All models come with a twin-turbocharged V-6, as opposed to several rivals that come with V-8s, but performance is similar. The Armada can be ordered as stripped-down or as luxurious as you want, with top-spec Platinum Reserve models doing their best to imitate premium SUVs from the next rung up. Expert Tip: If you like the Armada but want something with more prestige, consider the mechanically similar Infiniti QX80. What's New for 2026? Nissan has introduced a sporty-looking NISMO model to the Armada lineup for 2026. To accompany its racier appearance, the twin-turbocharged V-6 gets boosted by 35 horsepower over the standard trim for a total of 460 ponies. The NISMO wears different front and rear bumpers, a rear spoiler, and unique 22-inch wheels. Quilted leather upholstery with red accents lines the seats, which feature adjustable side bolsters for the driver and front passenger. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2026 Nissan Armada is expected to start around $60,000 and go up to $80,000 depending on the trim and options. SV $60,000 (est) SL $65,000 (est) Platinum $72,000 (est) Pro-4X $76,000 (est) Platinum Reserve $80,000 (est) 0 $25k $50k $75k $100k $125k We think the SL is the best value because it comes standard with a premium audio system, heated front seats and steering wheel, power-folding third-row seats, and a power liftgate. Four-wheel drive is a $3000 option on most trim levels, but it comes standard on the off-road-oriented Pro-4X. Engine, Transmission, and Performance Engines: 425-hp twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6; 460-hp twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 425-hp twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6; 460-hp twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 Transmission: 9-speed automatic 9-speed automatic Drivetrains: rear-wheel-drive; four-wheel-drive All Armadas come with a twin-turbocharged V-6 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The engine makes 425 horsepower in most trims but gets boosted to 460 horsepower in the NISMO model. Four-wheel drive is available, but the Armada's default drivetrain is rear-wheel drive. Several optional features are available and improve the Armada's driving experience and off-road capability, including an available height-adjustable air suspension and a locking rear differential in four-wheel-drive models. Our test drive of a 2025 Armada revealed strong acceleration and better ride and handling than expected for an SUV of this size. There were still some jittery body motions in the Platinum Reserve model we drove, equipped with the larger 22-inch wheels, but the Pro-4X rides on 20-inch wheels and provides better ride quality. 0–60-MPH Times In Comparison: If you're looking for a big SUV that's much quicker, consider the Ford Expedition, which hit 60 mph in 4.9 seconds at our test track. Nissan Towing and Payload Capacity The Armada is rated to tow up to 8500 pounds, which is slightly more than the Chevy Tahoe's 8400-pound maximum but less than the Ford Expedition's 9600-pound rating. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG C/D 75-mph Highway Fuel-Economy Tests: 22 mpg (Platinum Reserve); 18 mpg (Pro-4X) 22 mpg (Platinum Reserve); 18 mpg (Pro-4X) EPA City Ratings: 15-16 mpg 15-16 mpg EPA Highway Ratings: 18-20 mpg The EPA hasn't released any fuel economy information for the 2026 Armada yet, but the 2025 model earned ratings up to 16 mpg city, 20 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined. The Expedition earned higher ratings on the highway but aligns with the Armada for efficiency in the city. On our 75-mph real-world highway fuel-economy test, the Platinum Reserve beat its EPA ratings, delivering 22 mpg, while the Pro-4X matched its rating, delivering 18 mpg. For more information about the Armada's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo First Row: The Armada wears a modern and inoffensive interior design, and its cabin is designed with comfort in mind. The front seats are road-trip ready with plenty of cushioning and a lot of adjustability. The Platinum Reserve trim offers particularly nice materials such as quilted leather, giving the Armada a legitimate luxury SUV vibe. Second Row: A second-row bench seat is standard and puts the Armada's passenger capacity at eight, but if you choose the optional second-row captain's chairs, that number drops to seven. The seats here are also plushly cushioned and they easily fold away for access to the third row. Third Row: While some smaller three-row SUVs sacrifice third-row passenger space for second-row comfort, the Armada provides both. The rearmost row isn't as suitable for adults as the first and second, but you can put a pair of grownups back there so long as they aren't six-footers. Cargo Capacity: We fit 6 carry-on suitcases behind the third row in our testing, and the third-row seats fold automatically at the touch of a button in the higher trim levels to reveal a larger cargo area that fits 24 suitcases. Nissan Infotainment and Connectivity Infotainment: 12.3-inch touchscreen (standard); 14.3-inch touchscreen (optional) Connectivity: Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Audio System: 6-speaker stereo (standard); 12-speaker Klipsch stereo (optional) All trim levels come standard with two 12.3-inch screens that stretch across the dashboard. The left screen is a digital gauge cluster, while the right screen is a touchscreen infotainment system. Higher trim levels have an even larger 14.3-inch touchscreen. Google built-in apps are optional; wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone-mirroring functions are standard. A 12-speaker Klipsch stereo system comes on SL, Pro-4X, and Platinum trims. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features Every Armada has a suite of standard driver-assistance features which includes blind-spot monitoring, pedestrian detection, automated emergency braking, and lane-departure warning. A hands-free driving assistant called ProPilot Assist 2.1 is available as an option. For more information about the Armada's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include: Standard Safety Features: automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist Optional Safety Features: adaptive cruise control with a hands-free driving mode Warranty and Maintenance Coverage The Armada's warranty coverages are average for the industry. Nissan also doesn't offer any complimentary scheduled maintenance, unlike the Chevrolet Tahoe and the GMC Yukon. Infiniti QX80 Redefines Luxury with Striking 2025 Overhaul

The 2025 Infiniti QX80 marks a significant departure from its predecessor, delivering a blend of commanding presence and refined agility rarely seen in full-size luxury SUVs. Infiniti's latest iteration sheds the bulkiness that once defined the model, replacing it with a sleeker, more aerodynamic silhouette while enhancing interior sophistication and technological integration. This transformation reflects the brand's push to compete more aggressively within the crowded luxury SUV segment dominated by the likes of Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator. The most immediately noticeable change is the QX80's exterior design. Infiniti's design team has introduced sharper lines, a more prominent grille, and sculpted body panels that give the SUV a poised yet muscular stance. The vehicle's length and height have been marginally reduced, improving road handling without sacrificing cabin space. The all-new platform supporting the 2025 QX80 enables this balance, engineered to provide both strength and lighter weight, enhancing performance and fuel efficiency. Infiniti has also employed active aerodynamic features to reduce drag, a feature typically reserved for sports cars, underscoring its commitment to marrying power with efficiency. Beneath the hood, the QX80 retains a robust 5.6-litre V8 engine, delivering 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. However, the powertrain benefits from a refined direct-injection system and improved engine management software that contribute to smoother acceleration and a slight boost in fuel economy compared to previous models. An advanced 10-speed automatic transmission further refines the driving experience, offering quick gear changes and better adaptability across varying driving conditions. Infiniti has also incorporated a new adaptive suspension system that automatically adjusts to road surfaces, ensuring a balance of comfort and handling precision. ADVERTISEMENT The interior of the 2025 QX80 showcases Infiniti's renewed focus on luxury and technology. The cabin has been redesigned with higher quality materials, including open-pore wood trims, hand-stitched leather upholstery, and metal accents that elevate the tactile experience. Space remains generous for all seven passengers, with second-row captain's chairs and an optional premium rear-seat entertainment package catering to family comfort and convenience. Ambient lighting is now customizable, providing a mood-enhancing atmosphere that complements the quietness achieved through improved sound insulation. Infotainment advances include a large, vertically oriented touchscreen interface that integrates navigation, media, and vehicle settings with greater responsiveness and clarity. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside a bespoke 19-speaker Bose Performance Series audio setup that delivers immersive sound quality. Infiniti has also expanded its suite of driver assistance features, adding adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera system, all aimed at enhancing safety and ease of driving in urban and highway environments. Market analysts view the 2025 QX80 as a critical model for Infiniti, given the brand's ambition to regain lost ground in the competitive luxury SUV market. The refreshed model is positioned to attract both loyal Infiniti customers and newcomers seeking a vehicle that combines traditional luxury cues with modern performance and technology. Pricing is expected to be competitive, aligning with rivals while offering unique value through Infiniti's distinctive design language and feature set. Industry insiders note that the QX80's evolution reflects broader trends in luxury automotive design, where manufacturers increasingly focus on blending capability with refinement and sustainability. While the 2025 QX80 does not yet incorporate hybrid or fully electric powertrains, Infiniti has confirmed ongoing development in electrification, hinting that future versions could embrace greener technologies to meet tightening emissions regulations and changing consumer preferences.

Infiniti QX80 review: All-new model might be the company's most impressive SUV yet

When I first moved to the UAE, I resisted the lure of the road's giants. My first car was an Abarth 565 Competizione – comically small and endlessly amusing to wedge between hulking SUVs at the mall: a Land Cruiser here, a Patrol there, an Infiniti QX80 once in a while. But a few years in, I get it. The climate can be harsh, the roads wide, and quaint European city cars can often feel like the wrong tool for the job. As I climb into the new Infiniti QX80, I find myself thinking I could probably fit two Abarths in the back of this beast. It's rare for a behemoth to move with grace. But that's exactly what Infiniti has pulled off with the all-new 2025 QX80 – a car that used to feel more like a full-service lift than a luxury SUV: big, functional, inoffensive and by the end, a bit dated. That's all changed. The new QX80 pulls off a clever visual trick: it's still massive, but looks like a regular SUV. The soft, bulbous curves of the old model are gone – as are the sad droopy headlights. In their place: sharp lines, flush surfaces, a dramatically oversized grille, and LED lighting bright enough to guide ships into port. It's as if the QX80 went to an overpriced Swiss clinic and came back with cheekbones and confidence. Inside, the transformation is even more dramatic. The design team clearly spent time in a Range Rover and thought, 'Why not us?' There's open-pore ash wood, quilted semi-aniline leather, and ambient lighting with 64 colour options. Twin 14.3-inch screens handle infotainment and instrumentation, with a third touchscreen dedicated to climate control. It feels immersive without being overwhelming – it's just a very nice place to spend time. But value isn't measured in screen size – it's about how a car makes you feel. And this one makes you feel cared for. The seats are palatial, with bolstering that improves posture and cooling tech that uses biometric data to track your body temperature and adjust airflow accordingly. It's watching you, but in a nurturing way. Even the audio system feels grown up. A 24-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere set-up turns the cabin into a sound studio. The set-up was perfect for enjoying everything from audiobooks to Post Malone on commutes from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. And get this, there's even a new feature called Individual Audio that isolates phone calls to the driver's seat headrest speakers while other passengers can continue listening to music. I tried it and it actually works. Under the bonnet, Infiniti has swapped its old-school V8 for a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6. V8 purists may mourn, but the new engine delivers 450 horsepower and 699Nm of torque – more than enough to make this 2.7 tonne leviathan feel surprisingly light on its feet. It still tows up to 3.8 tonnes – so your boat, horse, or desert caravan is in good hands. But what really matters is the throttle response: there's urgency now, not the moan of a straining engine. The nine-speed automatic gearbox leans towards comfort, not sport. It's built for boulevards, border crossings, and weekends in Oman. On the tech front, the QX80 debuts Infiniti's most advanced driver-assist system yet: ProPilot Assist 2.1, allowing hands-free driving on select roads. It's not quite autonomous, but it's close enough for motorway cruising. The QX80 now comes in four trims: Pure, Luxe, Sensory and the fully loaded Autograph. Only Sensory and Autograph appear available in the UAE. I drove the latter. With the Autograph priced at Dh510,000, it's not cheap, but it feels justified. Yes, it's gunning for the high-spec Land Cruisers and Lexus LX. But more importantly, it makes the rest of Infiniti's line-up look like it's due for a similar glow-up. If they get the treatment the QX80 has, we're in for something special.
